He was also a good sport -- the Islanders player who scored that was Rob Davison and they played together in San Jose. @hky4life18 actually, I'm a hockey goalie, and bouncing pucks are some of the hardest to stop because they come at you so unpredictably all you can hope to do is get enough of you body in the way that it won't happen. I was among the top goalies in 4A Hockey my junior year and I remember letting one of those slip by. They are real pains. It's hard than trying to catch a football that just skipped off the ground 3 times...best you can do is hope you can get a piece of it...

@PianoXfan1 any smart goalie would go out and challenge the puck, because the dump in came from far away and the other team is killing a penalty. trust me, im a ice hockey goalie instructor. look close at the puck; its not even going that fast. if vesa toskala knew anything about being a goalie, he wouldnt have waited IN THE BLUE ICE for a bouncing puck to reach him. he shouldve gone out into the zone and stopped the puck & it didnt even take the funny bounce until the puck reached the crease.
