i should also add - you are catching far bigger fish than i've caught all summer! the fact that you are pulling in some of the biggest bass in MN doesn't surprise me. apparently the largest bass eventually become too slow for the terrestrial prey near the lake and eventually start feeding exclusively on bait fish. check this dude out....try your luck with swimbaits sometime. nice fish fellas. i've had great luck on auburn and o'dowd this year - but truthfully, I haven't thought of using live bait for bass. where did purchase that net for trapping your bait and what type/style of net is that? some bass guys i've talked to say using live bait just takes the fun out of bass fishing (not to mention it's not allowed in tournaments). But - catching your own bait adds to the sportsmanship of it, in my opinion. nice fishing.
you cant fool nobody out their bass fishing before bass opener using crappie fishing gear...
