  • Shitty art, I'm a much better sculptor.

  • I just discovered this artist, and I'm a FAN. Wow...just wow!

  • he's increadible.

  • I think its twins. lol how do you fire something so large??

  • @deafphoneoperator They don't get fired, if you actually payed attention in the video you would realise that.

  • @GrandpaNoob chill out grandpa. dont be a faggot all i did was ask a question so shutup.

  • freaky at 9:02... so realistic man..

  • check karen grigorian portfolio....

  • Wow - what a body of work; as well as inspiration to the validity of sculpture. I think of these undertakings when working in my humble studio and start to think somthing is hard.

  • смешно ilsaio

  • смкшно ilsaio

  • Whats the name of the song he is listening?

  • he's great but will he do something that doesn't involve the human form!

    like his art though.

  • i was devastated when he began destroying the clay model :(

    alexXx

  • he using models or not?

  • @EstoniaANTICOMMUNIST

Yes, scupltures take photos of their life models from every angle in order to sculp them perfect.

  • what book is using with all of the models in variation of the same pose? Can someone please help me out?

  • what kind of clay is being used?

  • @TheSKYizFalling He is using super sculpy, it is VERY hard to sculpt with for beginners, grey in color, and like all sculpy softens as you sculpt with it.

  • thanks so much for this

  • i am learning about him in ma art class

  • Beautifull, yes inspiring ..... please look at my video of my friends sculptures ....

  • The term, "artist" is just too commonplace for someone of Ron's caliber. He's something akin to "magician".

  • damn she extra pregnant

  • ★★★★★

  • His art is awesome. Great artist!!!

  • 00:27 is that wood?!

  • The base is wood, with a wire frame attached and clay added on top.

  • xD Witzig

  • wow, this guy is amazing! his skills are awesome!

does someone know what kind of sealer he uses on the sculpture to avoid the clay to crakle?

  • It say's it in the video 4:52 (shellac). Zinsser Bullseye Shellac is available in North America, though I'm not sure what they use in England.

  • Very impressive. Georgia O'Keeffe was wrong to say "every monkey can copy." Well, I certainly can't copy.

  • 8:47 perv in front lol jk but really this is amazing!

  • what kind of clay??

  • So incredible, I assumed that the sculpture was a real person covered in pain, but its not. I am not a sculpture artist, mostly a realistic drawer or challenger, but still, I've haven't seen ceramics like that until now. That must of taken extremely a lot of work, effort, and patience just to make it that realistic. Well done.

  • haha he has the same face that i get when im working

  • thanks for THAT...excuse my spelling!! lol

  • Nice one, thanks for the QuantumLord18 :)

    And yeah, pretty fascinating stuff!!

  • there must have been so much work behind it, not "only" sculpturing, but also finding out the process... so many abortive attemps... dude you really have to stay cool to go on after a work of weeks is destroyed

  • Excellent, but please put up Part 3!!!!!

  • Emopb,

If you still want to see part: 3, of Ron Mueck, go to clayguy1's channel.

Clayguy1, has all 3 parts at the begining of his Favorites.

You'll also learn a lot about human and equine anatomy from clayguy1 himself.

    Hope this helps mate.

    S'later,

    Boyd.

  • I'VE GOT THE SAME RADIO AS THAT!

  • This man inspired me to start sculpting....in my eyes he is a genius...who will be remembered long after he is dead.....his visual perception is brilliant long live Mueck

  • part III????

  • what kind of clay was used? looks like roma plastalina

  • 5 stars for the genius artist

  • Dammit where is part 3!!!!

  • LadyMeerkat1,

If you still want to see: Mueck / part 3, go to clayguy1's channel.

Part 3, is in clayguy1's favorites.

    S'later,

    Boyd.

  • Muecks my favorite

  • argh.. i hate to get this... where is part3?

    thanks alot :)

  • yeah, why does it end up?

  • Where's part 3?

  • "..or weeks of work would've been wasted." Weeks?! Jeez, I'd think moths at least.

  • keep the original...screw the mould...too much strees 4 me...;) Wow exquisite work!

  • What anatomy book is that at 00:23 ????

  • Anyone know what "anatomy textbook" he's using at :24?

  • part III?

  • WOAHHH the gooseflesh is crazy! Every detail is soo precise!

  • even the clay looks so perfect and then other processes are following. you could exhibit the clay model as art as well.

  • Even after it was destroyed. Broken clay hyperrealism would probably be a fascinating piece.

  • We are witnessing a Master at work..such a loving touch..He is the best!

  • génial.le modelage du ronde bosse mais aussi le moule direct en plâtre , stratifié(isoler la terre avec une résine polyuréthane hydrofuge puis démoulant)avec armatures représentent une grande source d'information .

  • Anyone know what type of clay he uses? Thanks.

  • magnifique merci pour votre talent kisssss

  • OMG!!! That baby at the end was sooooo cute!!!!

  • great work!

  • I bet nobody can find out his actual date of birth

  • Does anyone know where´s part 3 of the documentary or it´s name so I cant check it out? Thanks!

  • Hey there,do any body told you where is the third part of this video??Thank you!;-)

  • Yes. I found part 3 on the site called deal play (all one word) dot com.

  • Sorry, it's dalealplay not deal play.

  • Then search for Ron Mueck. The invidious youtube won't let me post a URL. Sorry.

  • Terrific video! THANKS!!!!

  • What's up with the cartoonish belly. it's as if there is no gravity. Is it intentional? If so why?

  • Some women really do balloon out like that - it does look very big, but she may be in the last stages of pregnancy. It's quite likely this is true because they mention his life-model gave birth while he made the sculpture, which suggests she must have been pretty huge. The sculpture may also be having twins!!

OTOH, maybe he just wanted to refer to the fact that a pregnancy is a heavy burden for a woman to bear..

  • Great!! Thanks for posting!

  • Argh! Where's part 3 of this documentary? I saw it in full a year ago, now part 3's nowhere to be found. C'mon! I want to see him FINISH Pregant Woman.
