  • When I was in 6th grade, living in Michigan at the time circa 1966, I used to come home for lunch & watch Woody's tv kid's show. His theme song was "Feeling Groovy." How I wish I could see just 1 of his shows. I don't remember them, but I must have liked them because I never forgot Woody Woodbury & have collected some of his LPs which I adore.

  • @unclejuniorsoprano Thank you for sharing your memories of watching Woody Woodbury and for watching this trribute video.

  • @Eliopolous LOL Yeah, that is a funny line of his. Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video!

  • Woody Woodbury

  • Great video! I have just put up a Woody Woodbury fan page on Facebook, but it looks like YouTube won't let me post the link here. If you're interested, go to Facebook and look for "The Woody Woodbury Fan Page." Thanks!

  • @baysvoice Awesome fan page on Woody Woodbury! I just checked it out. Thanks again!

  • Great video! I've just put up a Woody Woodbury fan page on Facebook. Here's a link for those who are interested:

  • @baysvoice Thanks so much! Your fan page sounds excellent and I'll be sure to check it out and I encourage others to do so also. Thanks again!

  • I am an entertainer a female impersonator (Cathy Craig Drag on You Tube). I want you to know that I had a luncheon with him today with the cast of the ziegfield girls. He did about twenty minute act for us and he is always funny. I worked a club next door to where he worked for years in Fort Lauderdale. I googled him and these things came up. I have his contact info if you would like to speak with him.. Thanks Billy

  • Thanks Billy. That must have been great seeing him in person. He sure is a great entertainer. I saw him around 1980 when I was in college and it is awesome to hear he is still entertaining. Thanks again!

  • Grew up listening to him. My Dad loved him and had all of his albums

  • Yep, he is a great entertainer and I believe he is still entertaining. There is a video here on youtube with him that someone taped of him doing a show recently. Thanks so much for watching this video here!

  • I have the album, Looks At Love And Life. I already burned this one to a CD-R disc.

  • Great to hear it. I have to burn some also to CD-R. Thanks so much for watching this video tribute!

  • My grandfather just left me a lot of of his records. never listened to it. going to today.

i have the laughing room. the ones with the 2 keys holes. and some of his ashtrays. Appently my grandfather would throw partys with his freinds and such... and they would get dressed up and listen to these records.

    thanks!

  • That is so cool what your grandfather did with throwing parties and having his friends dress up and listen to the records - probably making them all feel like they were seeing Woody in person at a nightclub. Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video. I am sure you will enjoy the album. Thanks again!

  • woody is still alive, he doesnt have videos of his old tv show, & where did you get the BITOA? are you that old? I am 35 years old, but has been a fan since I was in jr high. Found an old warped scratched vinyl and it intrigued me. So i found other records and started buying them. I want MORE. & I have a number of 'stereoddities" label records. ADULT HUMOR that is NOT offensive!!!

  • So glad to hear Woody is still alive! I got the BITOA card when I saw him live at his show in 1979 when I was in college. Thanks so much for your comments and for watching this video. It is very much appreciated!

  • the info on woody is 'dissappearing', there were photos...I tried to write letters to the record co's address, but got a return to sender, at least Woody was doing the rounds in 1979...HEY I JUST DISCOVERED HIS MYSPACE PAGE. he is 83...also before I swear my comment wouldnt post........

  • I first discovered Woody's humor in the film, FOR THOSE WHO THINK YOUNG, and found some of his records after seeing that film. It's just great to hear you discovered his MY SPACE page. I had not idea he had one and I'm sure his fans will be very appreciative as I am for the information. Hard to believe he's 83. Wow! I hope he is doing well. Thanks again for your comments. It is very much appreciated!

  • accually the webpages I found have dissappeared...the myspace is a fan run page...woody's webpage wont come up...other pages claim that he had a tv show, but he doesnt own copies of his own tapes....the other webpages on woody i cant find...

  • Thanks so much for your comments! It would have been so cool to see The Woody Woodbury Show back then. Maybe someday someone might be able to locate some old clips of the show and post it. Thanks again for watching this video!

  • I first became aware of him in the film, FOR THOSE WHO THINK YOUNG and thought he was really funny. It must have been very cool seeing him perform right in Ft. Lauderdale. Yep, BITOA is right! LOL Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video. Much appreciated!

  • Oh my. I actually listened to his "Laughing Room" album, and it was hilarious. I really wish that someone would release them on CD. I'd buy them all up.

Of course his "Jose and Manuel" skit would not be real popular in today's PC mind-set. But I still have good memories about listening to that record.

  • Thanks so much for your comments and thanks for watching this video post!

  • Woody Woodbury succeeded Johnny Carson as host of ABC's daytime comedy/game show "WHO DO YOU TRUST?", after he went on to host "THE TONIGHT SHOW" in the fall of 1962; Woody continued as host until the show went off in December 1963. He later hosted a brief syndicated talk/variety show in the late '60s. For those who never heard of him, Woody was primarily known as a "spicy" comedian- lots of friendly innuendo in his jokes and monologues...

  • Thanks so much for the information. Very much appreciated!

  • One of the Top comedy entertainers in the world. Lots of Fun and laughter.....get a hold of one of his comedy albums or discs....you will laugh your ass off!
