  • @listentomeboi yo didnt even spell metallica right -_-

  • Friend: So this is Dream Theater? ..Constant Motion?

    Me: Yep, awesome huh?

    Friend: They fucking suck..

    Me: >:o

Cop: So, he gags himself, then stabs himself and throws himself off a bridge for saying Dream Theater fucking sucks?

    Me: Yeah...

    Cop: He fucking deserved it.

  • This is a song with Ballzzzzz!

  • Better than Sex.

  • Recently I've been learning this song on my guitar. I learnt up to the solo without too much hastle, decided to look at the solo tabs.. I can never look my guitar in the eyes again.

  • shit. the song began and an ant walked on the top my pc monitor. TRUE STORY, I SWEAR.

  • i still dont like the singer much but he sounds good in this one and the song overall is isnanely good. yeah. insnane

  • Constant Motion = CONSTANT LOOPER!

  • Heavy as F***!!! This is is awesome!

  • I just shit my pants!

  • After 6:55 the song fuckin sucks.

  • @Ratkill9000 Not if you're listening to it on the infinite looper :)

  • @Ratkill9000 no it doesn't. The song carries on from 6:55

  • Epicness in 6.55 minutes and in 5 badass dudes!

  • this song reminds me of metallica if they had a better guitarist

  • @yarbgreat1 and drummer and bassist and ...

  • @Snake2557 and had a keyboardist at all!

  • he uses a six strings... but how many fingers does he use?

  • Comment removed

  • guitarist is an octopus!

  • @Nuddenbumsa That´s a great comment, lmfao! ;)

  • Does someone have a video explaining how to play this and chart it out on drums? I'm a drummer, and I want to play this, but it's hard for me to play something so complex when I don't have a chart in front of me

  • I think I got a man-crush on James Labrie at 2:48.

  • the 2 dislikes are from the octopus's that tried to audition to be the drummer

  • pra vc que houve pagode e funk ousa isso e se converta....

  • @rogeriokabal1 Por que? Para depois de algum tempo ser chamado de "poser" "false metal" ?

  • Eu quero tocar essa porra...

    Harmonia perfeita... Prog Metal porraaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • good guitar work

  • All bands shoud do at least one in-studio song. Bad ass!

  • ANTZ!

  • Did anyone else keep repeating 0:00 through 0:01 and listen to the sound go across their speakers?

  • @ultrapwner so it wasn't just me. I thought my headphones were messed up

  • Dream Theater rocks, new youtube sucks.

  • AWSUM!!!!!!!!!!

  • You see all the comments that say how amazing and godly Dream theater is then go to a skrillex vid and see all the comments saying how "good" there music is even though all skrillex is is bass and noises so "skrillex" has no talent with music just making fax machines break

  • @RevivingSociety

No, Skrillex makes some good music. He just makes much better Electro and Trance than he does Dubstep. Dream Theater is dominate all around though. I'd pick DT over Skrill any day. :3

  • @Uberado Ya dude i had a bad day but i dont entierly agree on skrillex and I dont like it its something i would listen to in backround music not on a daily basis but i dont HATE him some are good though id prefer like Rush or Pink Floyd over it.

  • Omg the Metallica influence is so obvious here. Not a bad thing. Not a bad thing at all. Great song.

  • no man .....metallica was never this good

  • Shit, the drummer can sing pretty well.

  • lol sounds kind of metallica :D

  • @sleepingemokid No,consider urself warned Noob! :)

  • I meant that the music doesn't sound like metallica but se singing sounds like Hetfield he does that ''jjjah!'' thing in the end of the word .)

  • @sleepingemokid You don't need to correct yourself. It must take balls to say this song is not Metallica influenced. It's like saying there's no Pink Floyd influence on Scarified Sons or no Muse influence on Panic Attack... The nerve of some people.

  • @GuitarAndWow Wow, are you fucking kidding me? There is no possible way this song was not influenced by Metallica. If you think Dream Theater just happened to write this song without listening to... I don't know... Holier Than Thou by Metallica you must be dreaming. You've never listened to Metallica outside of Enter Sandman have you? The versus of this song can be looked at as a textbook example of Metallica influence in metal. Rhythmically, melodically and vocally.... It's not even subtle.

  • @MrFlopz lol calm down i was joking... I know Metallica had a big influence on John Petrucci :) and i've listend to all of their songs :P

  • @GuitarAndWow Ok. It just annoys me when people praise a band while dissing their influences. This band is great but they wouldn't exist without the metal and prog rock that came before it.

  • @MrFlopz I know metallica is one of the best bands EVA but i personally like DT...I agree with u and btw u should watch John Petrucci psycho excercises thats where i got that consider urself warned noob..(i was trying to be funny :)

  • DT amazing hands down

  • 2:48 best part

  • Seriously, is it just me or does this sound like Metallica?

  • I listin to this when i wake up...never with clothes on

  • At the beggining it sounds like a mix between "and justice for all" and than "united abomination"

  • Goddamn John's tone is amazing. Does he use a 7 string?

  • @redsfan293

no my friend he uses a 6 string!

  • @Vazoras Ok I was wondering because I saw his rig rundown and they said he uses a 7 for some songs.

  • @Vazoras Both of them!

  • @Vazoras what you talkin about he uses 7 strings

  • @Vazoras jus not i this song he dosent

  • @Neothigill

yes in this song he uses a 6string! ;)

  • @redsfan293 petrucci does use a 7 string sometimes, for example in the song "a change of seasons" he uses a 7 string.

  • @redsfan293 yes, he does but no in this song, if u want to listen a 7 string song look for "The Dark Eternal Night", "A Nightmare To Remember" or "The Glass Prison".

  • @wtfblaze in "A Nightmare To Remember" he uses a 6 string tuned down to C Some of the 7 string guitar songs : 1)The Mirror (Awake) 2)The Lie (Awake) 3)Caught In A Web (Awake) 4)A Change Of Seasons (A Change Of Seasons) 5)New MIllenium (Falling Into Infinity) 6)Lines In The Sand (Falling Into Infinity) 7)Just Let Me Breathe (Falling Into Infinity) 8)The Dance Of Eternity (Metropolis Pt.2 Scenes From A Memory) 9)The Glass Prison (Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence) PART 1
  • @wtfblaze

10)Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence IV. The Test That Stumped Them All (Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence)

11)This Dying Soul (Train Of Thought)

    12)Vacant (Train Of Thought)

13)The Dark Eternal Night (Systematic Chaos)

14)The Shattered Fortress (Black Clouds & Silver Linings)

  • @Vazoras really? a nightmare to remember it's a 6 string :O? also it's C, half step up than 7 string xD

  • @wtfblaze A Nightmare To Remember? I'm not sure about it.... Change of Seasons is play with a 7th string guitar. But Nightmare To Remember?

  • @Xirukah in "A Nightmare To Remember" he uses a 6 string tuned down to C

  • @redsfan293 This song is in standard, but he uses seven strings on some songs

  • @redsfan293 I think that in the recording sessions he mostly used a 6-string, occasionally a baritone guitar tuned to B to get a 7-string-ish sound. He does play a 7-string live, though.

And, come to think of it, while recording The Dark Eternal Night.

  • @redsfan293 This song is in standard

  • @redsfan293 He sometimes uses a 7 string, but for this song, no he doesn't

  • @redsfan293 Keep in mind that amps play a major role in a guitarist's tone. John Petrucci uses Mesa/Boogies Mark amps. In this album I believe he used a Mark IV.

  • Who's the douche who disliked this?

  • I can play all of the song =D except you know...the solo im just a simple mortal xD

  • Comment removed

  • There's 1 gay for the moment.

  • From 3:42 until 6:54 is the most epic soloing/intrumental music!!!!! fucking amazing....you have to pause porn for this!!!

  • fucking epic, the whole solo is epic and the bits leading up to it is immense, if you hate this then go die!!!

  • genius! so good!!

  • Has anyone ever noticed the sort of homage to "Natural Science" by Rush with the opening guitar/drum rhythms?

  • I was eating a burrito while listening to this, BEST.BURRITO.I HAVE.EVER.EATEN.

  • obviously 1 person couldn't handle the greatness and the awesomeness of this song!

  • the rock band creators couldnt handle jordan's solo so they put no part in for the keyboard...

  • fuckin tune

  • This solo is blazingly insane!! Who said only guitarests can shred? Listen to that Keyboard solo! :D

  • Smokin song right here. This is definitely one of the Heaviest songs that Dream Theater has ever recorded.

  • i actually hate the voice of labrie... but i guess his agressive vocs are at least close to awesome. plus pertucci plays awesome but at the same time unusually modest

  • @StevenofBladez

    yw dude! :)

thanx for listening to my videos and this F@@@ing awesome band! :D

  • @Vazoras You can say f-words. YouTube won't do shit. :D

  • Did anyone else get a Stone Temple Pilots vibe at around the 2:00 mark?

  • Thrashtastic.

  • Man, now that Portnoy is gone, who's gonna' do that 2nd voice? :(

  • @JCdrummer33 Geddy Lee? :D

  • @JCdrummer33 God, he's wanted to be in Dream theater for a while now....

  • holy crap, is the drummer an octopus?

  • @PS3gamerguide No, he's just a god. :)

  • @PS3gamerguide Heh,heh.....Everybody knows that's just Mike Portnoy doing his thing...

  • @darshdoeshla yeah but with 6 other arms

  • @PS3gamerguide Nah, It's just Mike Portnoy

  • @PS3gamerguide yea, basically :P

  • Any other Dream Theater songs that are as this good, preferably the ones with epic solos in it. I have listened to this song quite a while ago, but never really care to listen to their other songs.

  • @ShaNz194 Definitley try A Nightmare To Remember and Panic Attack, maybe even This Dying Soul

  • @ShaNz194 i suggest sampling stuff from every time period - youll find they have done a wide variety of styles and most of it is all good. unless your just into "thrash metal" or whatever you may call it....then stick with the new stuff, 2000-on

  • @c9castine nah... I'm into Power Metal mostly... Dream Theater's awesome, but they have like 13 albums! I haven't even got time to listen to all of my favourite band's album yet.

  • This song reminds me of Metallica, only much better!

I just love the way they sing: FOREVER MORE, INTO THE NIGHT, BLISTERING!!!

Systematic Chaos is one of my favorite albums, and I know many fans will disagree with me but wth :D

  • @GeriPapi93 I have to agree with you that this is one of my favorite albums also!!!

  • This was a much needed upload. Thanks a lot!

  • @Lyedohn

yw my friend! and don't forget!!

SUPPORT THE BAND ! BUY THEIR ALBUMS!

  • @Vazoras if u wanna support the band go to their shows, buying original album you are supporting the RECORD LABEL!!!

  • Anybody got a towel for me now? I got messy from 0:00-6:55 D;

  • anyone got a spare towel? i got a little messy after hearing the drums during the solo :o

  • @rallyhyde lol i never listen to the guitar solo, i always listen to the drum part during the solo. its so awesome.

  • I love the chorus to this song so much!

One of my favorite choruses in any song. The way it is sung and played in unison is just unique to my ear. It pleases me.

  • I hate to be that asshole, but this kinda sounds like, Cult of Personality..

  • @TheBlackScarecrow DOES NOT!!!

  • @TheBlackScarecrow cm punk has Cult of Personality

  • I love their more polyrythmic songs, thx for uploading this!

  • The official video cut the verse, the part of bass before the solo, the guitar solo and the keyboard solo. Is a Great Shit.
