you dont need to change the skin right away. try pulling the strings.take out the dowel parts and losen the last knot and start from the first and pull.

yea actually we were talkin about this yesterday..!! I don't think we need to change the skins right now coz they are pretty good. I told Gaurav(tabla player) that we should tighten it but we don't know how and he doesn't want to take any chances in opening it, coz there's nobody to fix it after wards. Anyways we were thinking of taking it to Gurudwara Sahib in Calgary and see if those guys can do it for us. but yea thanks for suggestion bro.
