Not to take away from his actual pain and struggle, from poor choices and pressure to perform at a high level constantly - because obviously - he HAS been through some shit. But when talking to others and trying to convey what he feels - complete mess. He can't seem to get over himself, how he "sounds", and how "cool" he is trying to appear. The fake voice, the posturing, it gets in the way from his thought processes, it seems.

To be honest the reason he talks the way he does is becauseall the years of heavy drinking and the prescribed medication.NOT HEROIN.I mean look at ozzy he only took heroin twice and disliked it both times and never got addicted.And look at the way he is now.Look at other people who were heavy heroin users and dont act the way phil does.Slash.Dave Mustaine,joe perry,keith moon etc...
