@RonixEnclave Metroid Prime was a game that was SUPER fun, but lost a lot of the feeling of loneliness and scaryness, which were both awesome qualities of Super Metroid. Prime 2 lost it completely, but was still fun to play, but i didn't even bother with Prime 3, it looked disgusting. Haven't played Other M, and don't plan to. What keeps me liking Prime 1 & 2 is the great music, and replay ability because the gameplay is great.

@Shkerks Yeah, I mean like I said, Metroid Prime felt like High Space Adventure. I can see Samus dabling in some of that, it's not like every planet would have to be scary and lonely. But I just liked Super Metroids feel of desolation and hopeless almost. Samus was a like a Mom, taking care of a baby metroid like her own daughter. Reminded me of Ripley in Aliens and that's how I always imagined Samus. A woman who risked her neck when everyone else was afraid to. Beats Space "Hunks" any day

@RonixEnclave I think Prime almost completely has that feeling of lonelieness. You don't know where you are and don't really know where you should go next. Super MEtroid did it the best, but Prime probably is second, imo. Echoes definately not as much, but still pretty good. Never have play Corrutpion, but have seen parts of let's plays and it definatey loses the Metroid feel. Don't ever want to thin about playing other m.

Well you're right, Metroid Prime 3 isn't like the others, you have always the Aurora Unit that guides you, and you interact with Federation Marines. But the game is awesome anyway, you MUST have it !

Maridia... The depths of watery secrets, where we can find such resources as the Plasma Beam and the SpringBall, And the Space Jump too... But no matter what we find, there are yet more things we've missed, and we may never find.

Super Metroid was probably the greatest Metroid game of all, in many opinions... Heck, out of all the games, it's got the most mods. I only hope that the future can bring more Metroid games, 3D or 2D, that live up to the standards,

Oh, the emotion good composers could evoke with 16-bit sounds! Nice atmosphere here. It's so sad that I haven't played this game yet. T_T By the way (I will plug for OCReMix as I see fit, because it's an awesome website), there's a great ReMix of this song called Kindred. You can find it here or on OCReMix's website, and I would strongly recommend looking into it.

A whole underground world submerged entirely in water, undisturbed since the time of the Chozo. The one part of Super Metroid where you feel almost like you're doing more damage than the Space Pirates, disturbing the delicate balance that has formed here, freezing Chozo history in time. I imagine Samus would feel very sad here, plundering what remains of where she once called Home in order to stop the Pirates.I feel it would be a hard decision for her to make, but a necessary one.
