  • Wow did i strike lucky when i put Diane into Youtube.

Your Great Diane, You have sounds from the past & Sounds of today & then Blended

Them together, Well thats what i hear,

Your a very Special young Lady.

  • my goodness I think this is my kindred spirit... or long lost sister. I feel that same way when I do something artistic... Its not like oh I have this painting in my head... its like ooh I feel SOMETHING... wow I am completely blown away by her. Diane you and I were sisters back in the 18th century and we've been reincarnated to live two different lives. I always wanted an older sister.

  • Diane got a lot of Jazz and soul, and it's beautiful

  • she made me cry.... and im a man

  • Dianne is amazing! she's not like Stevie, not Carole King, but is in the 'area code' of Joni Mitchell but she's still her own singer/songwriter. Love ya, girl, sing on!!

  • very intersting voice! like her!

  • i think she sounds a teeny bit like Stevie Nicks. I think its might be that gravely, quiver on the low notes :)

  • She sounds exactly like Carol King She must have grown up listening to this music at home the good thing is that it is great influence, the sad thing is that it's been done.

I look forward to her coming into her own.

  • I can't believe he's touring with a Jonas brother.

Geez, I was going to catch her show, but she's OPENING for the guy. I wish him well, but I'm not a 14 year old girl.

I hope and pray she tours by herself, or with someone that's a GOOD match.

Like the Allman Brothers or Smokey Robinson. :)

    Please!

  • I only heard of her 3 days ago on a local college radio station and now I cant get enough of her! Truely awesome!!

  • Yes Froggy Nailed it, she so reminds me of Carrol King too

  • She sounds a lot like Carrol King to me.

  • She's wonderfull I detect alittle Carole King in there, nothing wrong with that.

  • Truly a gem in the music world! Never ever ever give up!

  • Isn't she the best!! Get her name out there Peeps, they don't know what their missing!

    We Love You Diane Birch!!!

  • What a find! The whole album is terrific - full of heart & soul, gospel, r&b, ... each song is very finely crafted and with top-quality accompaniment. And yes, after a couple of weeks of daily listening, the songs have become "old friends". But my favorite is "Rewind"; what a song! Let's get some live video posts of that one, please!

  • she is playing in Indianapolis at Radio Radio Tuesday, August 4 : Diane Birch + Mars or the Moon

  • We do feel something when we hear it...we relate to you and your music Ms. Birch...such a breath of fresh air...such a remarkable talent...her music brings so much emotion to my soul can't remember the last time music did that to me...maybe Adele or Amy!

  • I really like her, but I just hope she doesn't get too mainstream, because mainstream typically puts celebrities over their music.

  • It's not necessarily the celebrities fault its the record companies that can ruin an artist.

  • I guess it can be the whole atmosphere of fame. I typically like pretty obscure music, and though some of the bands I listen to have had some mainstream attention (Reel Big Fish & Modest Mouse), it's always for a one-hit-wonder that doesn't show their talents at all. Because people are generally pretty stupid, I hope Diane Birch isn't listened to by that many people. >_>

  • I'm not a really big mainstreamer myself.. you should check out Railroad Earth..

  • I previewed a few songs while I was on iTunes.. They're not bad. I was actually wondering a few days ago if there's anybody still playing bluegrass. I think I would enjoy some kind of bluegrass/punk rock so if you know any of that, that would be pretty great too.

  • I actually play the banjo myself. If your looking for a bluegrass/punk rock mix i cant really help you there. Concerning bluegrass i would recommend Railroad Earth, Yonder Mountain String Band, Sam Bush, and maybe some Jerry Douglas. I dont know much about punk rock though.

  • I own a banjo too, but I haven't learned how to play it yet. Broke one of the strings trying to tune it, so I'll have to get that fixed soon. Though I do know how to play trumpet.

  • hi, i saw your comment and i suggest you check out The Avett Brothers. watch some vids on here first, then buy Emotionalism, or their new record I and Love and You, if you like them. New album's awesome, but a little more polish than punk.

  • I dunno. It's a little slow for what I was looking for. I think if I get something in that general area soon, it'll be a country-punk band like Nine Pound Hammer or Joe Swank & The Mule Skinner Band

  • I had to come back and say one last thing. I listen to "Nothiung But A Miracle" everyday! By the way Ms. Birch, your music does more than speaks.....it makes me "FEEL." After listening to her...it makes me want to buy everybody a cup of coffee from Starbucks! Simply put...your music is "HOPE!" First Obama and now Diane Birch...I am so glad I'm still alive!

  • this is so great i just wanna jump around and smile ans sing and love my life and the world.....she is just so talented and adorable and smart. i love her!

  • She is something!! Even my mother loves this song! I will be one of the first to buy her album! A breath of Fresh air...she is.

  • excellently put "a breath of fresh air"

  • kinda like adele

  • "Ariel" reminds me of some of the really good early Elton John.

  • kind of like "daniel"

  • love the behind the scenes. the making of music is amazing
