  • @IsSiauliu2 What you didn't see before this happened, was that the ball had gone into the net and out again through a hole. The ball boy just kicked it back into the net to make a point :) It's a good goal.

  • wtf surely if the ball is out for a goal kick it doesn't count if the ballboy kicks it in. if a player went and kicked it in it wouldn't have been given, so what on earth was the ref thinking!

  • it was on the newspapers, the woman referee awarded the goal, she didnt realise it was put in by the ball boy. search google news for the teams above.

  • Doesnt matter what sex the ref is, everybody makes mistakes, the ref sees the ball being picked out of the net after the play (they should have been paying attention as thats what there paid for) a man would have made the same mistake if they were a dumbass!

    Sheffield Wednesday should sign the ball boy to work at Hillsborough, at least that way the piggies might actully score some goals

  • Some of these comments are unbelievable. The ref made the mistake cos she's an idiot, not cos she's a woman. Referee Graham Poll gave 3 yellow cards to the same player at the world cup, are we saying he did that cos he's a man and therefore should stick to making fire and hunting bison?

  • You're the idiot mate. You can't see propely in the clip, but check the one on BBC news. They just showed it in high quality slow motion on Channel 4 news here in the UK. It IS a goal in the first place - but the side netting isn't properly attached to the ground so the ball rolls out and nobody, except the ball boy, realises. You can later see him trying to attach the netting to the ground. So it was a goal, so justice has been done :-)

  • Well Mate!! Ive seen three vids of this and the ball boy dosen't place the ball under the net or through any holes. Also the ball boy dosen't place then net back down he shows the net is attached. The Ref even checks the net thats why she said it was a goal. An terminated dosen't mean killed it mean fired.

  • The same clip on channel 4, high resoltion, zoomed in, slow motion? Really? So what did you think when John Snow described exactly what I said asa they went through it frame by frame? I think the boys at the TV station with all their tech are in a much better position to see what happened then people watching a dodgy flash version. And they've had it on Sky sports news saying the same thing!
