vestas stand for 1/3 of worlds windmills. many people hate windmills because they make noise but those new ones make so daem little noise and the make alot of energi. vestas is the worlds nr 1 windmills importer. those windmills look so daem cool in real life they are major high
Those things are so awesome, that video doesn't even do their size justice. I've seen one from about 2 miles off and it still looks absolutely massive!
V90-An efficient way to more power. What a propaganda talk.
The gearbox has huge problems, and needs to be replaced in less then a year time, while Vestas talks about a lifetime of 20 years. This Vestas turbines are not the future. If there will be more competitive manufactures, Vestas will go bankrupt, because they just built, but don't talk about service on the long term. By the way, the windpark Horns Rev with eighty V80 turbines will be closed next month...
Two months later and of course nothing has happened to Hrons Rev. Vestas is running full wind ahead. Its stocks are now worth more than the largest danish bank. it will increase its work force by 30% in the next 6 month etc etc etc.
well they better make sure these ones have a proper breaking system if you don't know what I mean search Danish Wind turbine Accident. it literally blows up!!!
the Nordtank 300 kW is much much smaller than the V90, the tover on the Ntk 300 is only 41 meters, and is NOT a product of Vestas as many poeple think..
and yes, i have seen it by my own eyes.. Its Wrecked.. :o
There is a lightning protection system that grounds from the blade tips to the foundation. Most times, the turbine will just reset itself and continue on without any damage at all.
Hello! Where are the parts mostly made and where are the materials from? We are looking at different companies and vestas seems to be the leader. Thanks!
Raw material (iron) mostly Canada, Casting is done in Norway, Sweden and Germany as far as I know. The assembly is done in denmark. Other components are made all over the world.
vestas seems to be the only ones with the numbers to back them up. their new technology is decades ahead of the competition. too bad they are so far out. we had to go with GE junk for now.
Enercon is the number 1 manufacturer in Germany and number 4 world wide. The turbines are direct-drive, which means they don't have a gearbox or the related gearbox issues that many other turbines have. Enercon also has the number 1 service records for several years running.
I didn't say they weren't...Vestas is number 1 in the world and quality turbines...I'm simply answering truthspeaker's question about Enercon and stating that Enercon has benefits; they're a good option...You know as well as I that a) not every turbine is right for a site and b) Vestas cannot manufacturer enough turbines to satisfy all of the orders in the world (though I'm sure they wish they could).
I think Vestas and Enercon have the best Technologie

We have some 2mw V90's on the coastline nearby, and some older vestas which makes an afwul yelling sound, but those new ones are very silent.

lol you don't know what your talking about I work for Vestas and the new V90's are not 250 meters tall lol i would know i was in one today.
flamable2pac 3 years ago
It is necessary to have that Shool obtain for Vestas?

Vestas is no.1 in the world and their new windmills stand over 250 meters high.

"icetrout2 your stupid you know that. You say wind turbines are stupid, if we don't start using them we will all die in 50 years or so."
I don´t think we have 50 years time...,
maybe 10 up to 25 years.

Very nice video, very nice turbine. BTW, too many Vestas videos show significant safety violations. Tighten up!

What happens when they get struck by lightning?
Proneural 4 years ago
On each side of the blades (on the v90 the blades are 44 mters long.) there is mounted 7 lightning bolts thats connected with a cable to the hub.
