@123boredvideos the difference between an untethered and tethered jailbreak is when it is untethered you don't have to plug in to your computer every time after you restart or turn off your springboard ( your iPod) tethered you DO have to plug into a computer every time. The best one to do is untethered

@5dwolf22 the moment you jailbreak your iphone the warranty on the phone is void. even if you remove the jailbreak the apple store has a way to know if the phone has been tampered with. hope this helps :)

I couldn't get my iPod Touch 4th gen running 5.0.1 working until I tried these steps:

Open redsn0w

Select 'Extras' then 'select IPSW' to manually specify yours (should be iPod4,1_5.0.1_9A405_Restore.ip­sw)

Click 'Back' then 'Jailbreak and Install Cydia' (it will prepare JB data)

Check 'Install Cydia', 'Enable Battery Percentage', and 'Enable Multitask Gestures'

Click 'Next'

Follow other instructions in vid as usual.
