Actually it is a mixture of spices according the early 1930 - middle Europe - imagination about Orient.

Lovely cheerful jazzy exotica. "Orientalism" was big in the 20's and 30's but, of course, it started long before (Mozart, Rossini, Ketelby) Pretty pictures of the exotic Orient too.

Very beautiful music. It sounds as mysterious, beautiful, and deadly as the desert of which it's sons are born to. However what they make instrumentally in the 2nd part - it makes up all that ancient technique.
