  • Thats not how you play it :)

  • Regarding your comment in the video about not being able to play it like Clapton . What people don't know is that Andy Fairweather and Clapton are playing a duet and though it may sound like one guitar on "Unplugged" there are two acoustic guitars. So the real deal is none of us will ever be able to play it like Clapton. Not until you have 20 fingers on four hands.

  • i wish i could hear you live

  • I WISH U ARE MY GRANDPA :D

  • WOW SAME GUITAR LOL

  • here's a fact... Clapton did not write this song directing it to his son's death... it was actually written from the lost emotions from his grand-fathers death. He wrote "My father's eyes" a little after his lost... he said he wanted to give Conor (his son) what he never had, a father. its a long explanation... got this from Clapton Biography

  • are you Pinoy?

  • Eric clapton is god , u are demi - god !

  • lower pitch dude.

  • i still cant play it :/

  • maldito gordo puru hablar y nada de accion

  • very very very goooooooooood lesson :))

  • Thanks for the video.

  • excelente..

    saludos desde perú..

    una de las mejores interpretaciones

  • you very good like it

  • You do a very nice job my friend...and thanks. I might work a guitar again 1 day.

  • It's actually done in the key of A major, (i believe) but the transposition is nice, and the hammers are smooth. Nice job! , since it is in A major, and C minor being the minor of A, then you could play either or, and the lead would work over those chords. The minor of a major is always three frets back, for example, G majors' relative minor, is E, so you can play an e minor pentatonic scale, over a G major chord, it will work. conversely, a major scale will work over a minor.

  • nice job on the guitar, but the singing is just par. :)

  • who's in the open wheel car behind your left shoulder?

  • @penske13 Good eye mate! That is Jim Clark in the first ever rear engine Lotus Indy car in 1963.

  • @goldhat3 When I was in London at the hard rock cafe , there was a hand print of Eric Clapton in plaster, when no one was looking I matched my hand to his hand print , I was amazed, our hands were the same size, I have an average hand size. Clapton hands are not that big....

  • It's cool harder than clapton's version ,but anyway it sounds better than another versions on youtube ,thanks Mark ; ) ---> (I apologize for my english :P Im Polish : P)

  • I think one reason it is hard to play the Clapton version is that he doesn't play alone, so you are hearing at least 2 guitars.

  • Thanks for sharing. Great!

  • That song was Released January 1992.

  • you cool for an old timer :)

An old chinese saying I once heard went something like this 'Knowledge is never truly yours until shared'. That makes you one of the most Knowledgable people on YouTube. Thank you for another Great lesson.

  • best lesson, nice man!

  • My dad says I will have long Eric Clapton fingures cuz they are are longer than they are soposed to be for a regular 11 year old, they are longer than my mom's and as long as my dad's. Nice version goldhat3 I love the song, thanks for the lesson, you Rule!!

  • you are awesome goldhat! you've made my guitar sing!

  • what is the picking pattern you are using??

  • I didn't understand... this song is written for whom?

  • clapton wrote that song for his four years old son, who fell from about 50 floor and died. it was released year after accident, in 92 on clapton's album rush.

  • his 4 year old son who fell of a balcony in his appartment in londen 8 stories high

  • actually from his mothers friends balcony in new york

  • it was 52 stories high and it was in a former home of his in new york!!!!

  • awesome advice really appreciate you taking the time to make this video for all of us people =D thx..

  • Thanks for the lesson. My son and I are trying to piece it out together. I am definitely a "vanilla" chord player. :)

  • nice you know how to teach it 5*

  • it was actually written much earlier than 95, Unplugged was released in 92.

  • awwe

  • I've been trying to play it unplugged style (chord) but find it too high a pitch for my voice. Yours is even higher but I believe it allows me to sing one full octave down and probably will solve the pitch problem. Have you tried it? It seems to be too high in its original octave for you too. Great job.

  • Nice video, very well played, and experienced player. NICE JOB!
