a nice rendition scotty of a classic in this country billy fury covered this song and for me you performed this very well i enjoyed it cheers gazza uk
Amen Scotty, your so right. Not that our growing up was the best of times but to me it was. I just don't see my kids (3) or grandkids (7) having that same oppurtunity.
Hey Scotty, great job with Bobby's song. I'm a 54yr old male (straight) and have always enjoyed this song and your rendition is exceptional. Of course I love most all the good lod stuff from around that time. It was pure childhood and it was a glorious time in America. So sad that it is gone and will probably never be back so we at least need to do our little part to keep it alive. Thanks for the side trip down memory lane.
Found a record of Bobby singing happy, Happy, Dream Age, Fatty, Fatty and A Winner can Loose with other male singers on the Allegro label must be from 1950 as he looks so good looking at about 20?
I like your version, you're a good singer. It's good to hear how various artists do different renditions of the same song. It calls for creativity and it would be a boring world if every artist just mimicked the orginal. Al Jolson first sang "Are You Lonesome Tonight" does that mean Elvis Presley can't sing it and make it a hit? It takes guts to put your work out there for everyone to listen to. Good smooth voice, it reminds me of Roger Whittaker. Thanks for posting.
I tried to upload the original and was informed that it was 'blocked by third party copywrite'. Whoever owns the rights to that song doesn't want it on YouTube.
Scotty, you have an amazing voice, a mixture of Jim Reeves n Elvis Presley...lovely song too...;)

Since I thought I was going to hear Bobby Rydell when I clicked on this, I was disappointed that it wasn't Bobby.
That said -- actually, you're quite good, Scotty. Very nice tonal quality. Stay with it!

This special song was written for Bobby
Rydell by Tony Hatch from the U.K. when
Bobby was over there performing and
being honored for his performance in
Bye Bye Birdie. Mr. Hatch wrote a string
of hits for Petulla Clark, including Downtown. Keeping this quality music alive is a good thing. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK SCOTTY.
is a very good thing

Nice job Scotty. Thanks for honoring the
great Bobby Rydell in this rendition.
Bobby's version removed from YOu
Tube, but it was not due to any action
on Bobby's part. Bobby loves his fans
and is totally not about money. He is
a start and a legend in every sense of
the word.

good rendition, scotty3553. You went a little off-pitch in a couple places but overall a listenable version of the bobby rydell hit.
