Hello, nice video. I hope you see this message. We recently picked up a kitten between 3-4 weeks old(someone threw him out a window driving down the road). We are feeding milk replacement for kittens via syringe. The kitten doesn't seem to be getting much from a bottle. The issue we are having is getting the kitty to go potty. Do you have any suggestions on this area? He seems to be doing well other wise. Thanks in advance for any help you can give

My boyfriend has ashtma and is "technically" allergic to cats and dogs but i lived all my life with them so there was no way i'd leave them for my boyfriend so he had to deal with them and after 4 years it's like he's never been allergic at all! He got used to them and i believe if more people tried to instead of thinking "Im allergic i can't" and started thinking "I can" they could be cured, it's only psychological
@AtashiwaChii It's not purely psychological, believe me. My boyfriend has 3 cats and a dog and I'm highly allergic. It's true that I got somewhat used to them too, after living with my allergies for all of my life, but there is still a large part of it that remains.
@AtashiwaChii Allergies are real, but a person CAN become acclimated to what they're allergic to, in pretty much the same way you can develop resistance and immunity to diseases.
@AtashiwaChii Allergies are not ALWAYS psychological. I am LETHALLY allergic to bees. Tell me that it's only psychological when I'm going into anaphylaxis. Does the body develop immune reactions to allergens over time, yes....but it's not just a mental thing.
@AtashiwaChii Your boyfriend may only be mildy allergic or his allergy may for example be stress dependant. (keep in mind here that what is considered 'stress' for the body does not nessecarily have a mental cause).
It does not make sense to draw conclusions from a single case for a whole group. It is not logical.
@AtashiwaChii I wouldn't say it's only psychological, that may be part of it, but I think a large part is also played by the human body. If you are exposed to a nontoxic irritant, AKA, an, allergen, long enough, your body will become desensitized to it.

Cute Vid, I just this evening or my dog did. Found a small kitten less then 3 weeks as it has its imbillical cord still attached looked for mom to be around or come back but have not seen it at all. So like other animals i ve taken in i have this cat now. Hopefullly it will live to see more then one sunrise. think i ll name it frakas. @57zeke09 There is "kitten formula" you can get from a "pet store", kind of a specialty products so gotta go to a "pet store" and not just a store where they have real common items like cat food/dog food that's it. Once they're 5 weeks old you can start feeding them "kitten food" meow mix makes a brand of kitten food it isn't extremely expensive.
Be sure to give him or her water too and not just milk. And your kitten might be old enough by now to have milk/water/tuna from a bowl.
What a beautiful kitten. He's in cat heaven now. I like to think all the pets we lose are waiting for us on the other side. Anyone who throws a beautiful cat like that away has no soul.

I know people get angry about abadoning babies because they are cute and helpless but think about it: there are a lot of cats born every day and not everybody can maintain several pets. Maybe it wasnt even their kitten but the baby of a stray. To be honest im glad the person chose to leave the kitten near a gasstation because that way somebody found it alive. Usually its not uncommon to drown them/break their necks/put them into a box on a highway...
@mushnoodle Abandoning any baby is never the humane thing to do. People abandon human babies in public bathrooms thinking the same thing you think. The right thing to do is drop the baby off at a fire station or hospital. With a kitten, the right thing to do is take it to a shelter or animal control. If they can find a home for it they will. If not, they'll euthanize it humanely rather than leave it starve/freeze/worse.
@Tanfeliz Of course its not humane but it is always importaint to know about the circumstances and the motivation behind that action. also taking into account that not everybody considers them as pet and has a nice life like us. but like i said sometimes kittens get killed quickly after birth if not wanted so I'm glad they didn't with that one and put it somewhere people could find it at least. :)
UPDATE: Ollie has passed away we think from eating cloth that got caught in his intestine. Today is a sad day for us we had fun while he was here. RIP Ollie 2006-2011

he looks a lot like my cat. someone abandoned him in the field next to our house and he stayed on our porch until we took him in. he had ear infections so bad he almost went deaf, but he's about 2 now and he's such a sweet cat, he loves people.

@talproducer I'm so sorry! Losing Ollie must have been terrible. He looks like such an adorable little guy. I am currently caring for a 3 week orphaned kitten and could not imagine what it must be like to lose him. You have my sympathies.

@talproducer That is so terrible to hear, especially when one has just watched a video of him in his first weeks in life.
I recently found myself with a mother cat and a litter of kittens that weren't mine, but I saw to it that they would be well taken care of at a no kill shelter as I found out that the owner of the mother had abandoned her on the street two weeks ago.

It makes me so angry to know there are sick fuckers out there who disgrace the world with such cruelty to animals. How could ANYONE leave this poor little thing in a GAS STATION? How could anyone leave tiny animals like this outside and just leave them there?! It's so fucking wrong, and you guys deserve a medal for helping it - I'm actually doing an Animal course at College at the mo, and I want to work in the RSPCA, helping animals that get mistreated like this, by disgusting, spiteful twats.

he looks a lot like my cat. someone abandoned him in the field next to our house and he stayed on our porch until we took him in. he had ear infections so bad he almost went deaf, but he's about 2 now and he's such a sweet cat, he loves people.

@juroxzg3 they never want to stop drinking from mommy but you can take them away from mom at about 6 weeks old and she might wean them off of her at about that time
