  • lol sweet but thats some scary shit

  • How does an engineer get payed so much for being so fucking stupid. Is it that hard to direct traffic on a single line?!?! Jesus.

  • Google: HQ-2006-48 for the entire NTSB / FRA accident report. Casey Jones does not approve of 0:40 (please tell me some of you guys remember being a kid and reading about him!).

  • @iforget Unless that guy was Sim, I agree that Jones would not approve. Then again, what could the guy here do? Jones at least could brake and save the passengers in the collided-into train.

  • did the train drivers died?

  • and who put a camera on the train??

  • someone missed the stop signal

  • imagine the force involved in that

  • omg.

  • @koryclark1991 I don't think you know signals well. A double yellow is the same as a flashing yellow approach medium(prepare to pass next signal not exceeding 35 mph prepared to enter diverging route at prescribed speed)... Diverging advance approach? There's no such thing red over flashing yellow is DAM diverging approach medium

  • trainweb.org/brettrw/derail/bnsf/clarendon/bnsf8876d. html

  • @koryclarke1991, yes the train that was headed toward the other had a Div Clear. The others oncoming to the recording train passed an approach and claimed it was a green. Unless you already know that, I'm not trolling, I just can't find my OP.

  • At 0:42 that guy jumped out because he knew what was coming, he was pretty smart.

  • U saw that?! At 0:42 some guy jumped out!

  • WOW I wonder if the guy n the train that we r n jumpd out??

  • That poor engineer who had to jump out of his train! Made a wise decision, but you can be certain he was beat up badly. Most of your engineers aren't spring chickens (no offense intended -- merely stating a fact -- and many people are incapable of seperating fact from their eager, thin-skinned desire to label a comment as insensitive or intolerant or whatever it is that gets their goat & causes them to totally lose sight of the original point being made), & a fall like that is going to hurt!!

  • who else thought of inception?

  • Yeeeeeehaaaa! I'm with the guy that jumped. "Uh oh. It's coming right for us! Seeya!"

  • that is just sad

  • The moral of the story......don't foul the siding switch!!!

  • tuck and role bitch

  • For every action...

  • @memadmax69 No dumbass the signal at :02 seconds is a double yellow(diverging approach) that means they are going into a siding at the next signal . so that means that had the right of way and wouldnt be trying to stop. The train coming head on ran the signal !

  • @billiusbborax Approach Diverging (Double Yellow) Diverging Approach is Red-Yellow. Diverging Advance Approach is Red over Flashing Yellow.

  • The 2nd driver had more than enough time to stop or swerve. Im thinking that somebody was dozing off

  • @yynnmmbb

implying you can swerve a train...

  • @yynnmmbb Swerve? Are you a dumbass? And do you know how long it takes to stop a train?

  • @yynnmmbb swerve????LOL.....what can't stupid people be banned from facebook...

  • @MLAMB1241 , you realize that you are on YouTube, right ? dumbass

  • @yynnmmbb actually I was on both but I still find it hilarious that someone who thinks a train can swerve would call someone else a dumbass.

  • @yynnmmbb First of all, the train just can't swerve out of the way. The eastbound train ran a red signal because he was supposed to hold the main because he had haz-mat cars from what I believe. The route was lined for the westbound train to run "around" him on the siding due to him having a diverging clear. All signals were functioning properly. Human error caused this crash. It takes a train at least a mile to stop and the longer the train, the longer it takes to stop.

  • @koryclarke1991 The men running them were questionable. Atleast the conductor tested positive for cocaine, and they both claimed the signal was green.

  • @BNSF5608, Well if they were on drugs, they're logic was irrational. That eastbound train should've held short of the trailing point signal at West Kismet, which is where the crash occured. Why didn't they either drug-test the engineer or conductor before hand especially because there were haz-mat cars on the EB train.

  • @BNSF5608 Taken from another video of this same incident: The train crew with the camera had an 'Approach Medium' signal (yellow over yellow), followed by a 'Diverging Clear' signal (red over green). They were lined by the dispatcher INTO the siding. The OTHER train crew disobeyed a 'Stop' signal & fouled the siding switch; causing this collision. 'Google': HQ-2006-48 for the entire NTSB / FRA accident report.

  • @BNSF5608 "driving that train, high on cocaine. Casey Jones you better, watch your speeeed."

  • @koryclarke1991 I agree, I been around trains all my life, and yes it was human erro here. Bad freaking erro

  • the safest place during a crash like that would have been if the conductors called in sick that day..

  • just before they hit, signal goes from green to red! other train slid into the interlocking. oddly enough, the safest place to be would be in the cab of the locomotive. bashed and tattered is better than crushed under a derailed train.

  • That'd be scary to be right near those trains crashing into each other.

  • 0:41 ouch?!

  • @jbkinst train fell on hims? D: i hope not lol

  • I can't imagine their fear when they saw the oncoming train, there is no way this should have happened.

  • that was sick!i was like oh crap!

  • Why is this "18 and over"?

Anyways, you can clearly see at the :02 mark: Red Signal, even a duel red.... They had so much time to stop.... The guy jumpin at :42 seems to have lots of practice =D

Blue screen of death? Then why did it keep recording sound? >_> ^.^ >_>

  • @memadmax69 You realize he was moving at a pretty decent speed, right? It is difficult to slow a fully loaded freight train down to zero from about 45 MPH by guesstimate. Now the opposing train seemed to be traveling at a much slower pace, and possibly could have stopped in time, but in theory only. It may be that these two engineers were just having a bad day, and there was no way they could have avoided the collision.

  • @destroyah3034 They were on drugs, from what I understand if you even go a little bit past an absolute red signal. They tell you to stop your train, take you out and piss test you. No questions asked!

  • es un imbesil paso los semaforos en rojo se lo mereciaxd

  • It crashed so hard it crashed windows!! XD im lame.

  • The camera software was running on Windows XP and that was the blue screen of death.

  • Just listen to him land on those rocks. OUCH

  • Well one thing is sure... The camera is dead!

  • @RajorMajor hahaha

  • LOL, the guy that jumped out of the train at 0:40

  • @autobotsniper This video is not funny

  • @MagyarArchivum im talking about the guy jumping off the train being funny dumb ass

  • @autobotsniper Sorry for making you angry. But the guy was saved his own life. I dont think something like that is funny. Goodbye, my friend.

  • @MagyarArchivum all goods, friend

  • @autobotsniper would be more fun it it happened on a bridge. XD

  • @autobotsniper I wouldev jumped out 200 yards before that lol

  • @autobotsniper He could have been ran over when the train he was on de-railed.. lol

  • @autobotsniper I problably would do the same to protect my life

  • Is this the one that happened in Madera, Ca. on June 14, 2006?

  • @badlieutenant13 Clarenden, Texas on May 28, 2002. And I believe this camera is inside the eastbound train, the intermodal.

  • is the train died?

  • @exploremagic23 I think the train died.

  • @dl8rds hahaha that was pretty funny

  • The escaping air sounds like he'd plugged her well before impact.

  • why didnt they go like full-speed ahead to change tracks before they got hit?

  • @TodBertuzzi44 You know trains are usually longer than the cab, dumbass.

  • @Samtaanacanyon it's called railview and they're installed on all through freight locos for exactly this reason: when shit happens they can see what led to the accident

  • I was an engineer for about 10 years before I quit and this is one of the scariest clips I have seen. When the block dropps just before they get to the switch points, my ass puckers everytime...

  • Saw the BNSF in the engine just before they jumped (I know it's Japanese loyalty when U.S. vieweres would expect a self sacrafice...but it was real...and to idiots that deny reality in whenever it is presented before you i say go stand in front of a train and see what happens to you?

  • The guy who jumped out must have been crushed

  • the conductor would have been screwed!!

  • 0:43 nevar abandon the fail-train....nevar!

  • jump!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i would have

  • @BUICK925 In most cases then, you would have died.

  • On what date did this occur? Why is there a camera in the cab? Is this a security camera installed in all locomotives?

  • @Santaanacanyon Google HQ-2006-48.This is the NTSB report on this accident. It will tell you all you need to know.

  • @fatnastyify its not a ship is a train.lol..jk.

  • this is fake... -.- its just an old playstation game...

  • @sinuscossinus Go to "BNSF Derailment Locos"and you'll see the aftermath of this "playstation game"as you call it.

  • Notice how the engine power was cut and all the air was dumped into the breaks, they did all they can to stop the train in time. The other train didn't stop early enough to let this train through the turn. All crew members jumped off and survived.

  • @sookster54 This crew did not dump air until about 1 second before impact. All crew members did not jump off. Stop making stuff up.

    They all did survive though.

  • If you pause right at the end of the 0:45 mark the trains crash

  • my favorite part was from 46 seconds on....I like blue.

  • abandond ship!!! =)

  • @Boss302fan

For the human inside it's a gentle stop, because...tadaa, the trains go bendy.

  • @Apjooz Obviously you've never railroaded a day in your life.

  • @Apjooz OK. You're 12 but that's my last guess. And I have a feeling that if I did try to explain railroading to you it would go right over your head.

  • @Boss302fan

You don't explain cause you don't understand, chump.

  • @Apjooz grow up.

  • @Apjooz You have got to be 14 years old. Or less. Pathetic.

  • Woah this is intense....:/

  • what the!

  • I heard I mean

  • At everyone who's talking about the man who bailed I heated he got hit by a derailed freight car but I think it's fake because I don't think it was that fast of a crash

  • @CSXandSpartanfan33 One train was moving at 45mph.The other at 22mph.Momentum,my good man.Momentum.

  • @gebass6

A huge crash, not likely to kill anyone but the trains were probably destroyed completely.

  • @Apjooz Not likely to kill someone? Were you serious when you wrote that? Gawd.

  • lol someone bailed off the train right before the wreck

  • this was flagged!?!?!? that is so stupid! no one was hurt, ten bucks the person who flagged it is a parent of a 2 year old, or some safety freak afraid to show their kid the real world

  • AAaahhhhh, dont we just love Mondays ;)

  • hmm, that sounds exactly like the crash from a tom and jerry cartoon.....

  • the blue at the end is a really nice blue

  • What a devastating response. Oh yeah *Homeland

  • @jayhoyt28 Your comment is fake too

  • that would be scary

  • 0:40 there is a guy jumping from the train..

  • @PTblackout true

  • did anyone died pls answer

  • uh oh...no no no NO NO fffffCRASH

  • @iganinja91 they did jump. If you watch closely you can seethe crew on the on coming train ( the train at fault) jump on the left hand side of the screen.

  • The sound effects sound a little fake...

  • Stupid youtube, and stupid those people that complained that is only adults can see it ! I am adult alright ! but DID the video show something offensive, or deaths? of bodies or anything else beyond a... blue screen? !!

  • fake

  • I think before the switch I would have jumped!

  • proof that bailouts DO work

  • @itwontcomeout5678 What railroad besides Amtrak, ever got a government bailout?

  • @gebass6 There are multiple railroads throughout history in the US that received a 'government bailout'. This of course includes the Conrail predecessor railroads. However there are multiple other examples including some short lines operating today who, without government funding, would be out of business completely.

  • @Boss302fan I googled the question a while back and found out a little info on this subject.Conrail was more of a gov't takeover than a bailout. If it WAS a bailout,it was successful.Conrail became solvent and profitable.I didn't find any other info on any other railroads except for Amtrak which was expected.Small shortlines are a given, but I didn't find any other large class 1 railroads that recieved a bailout. If you can point them out that would be appreciated.

  • @gebass6 The government took control of multiple railroads such as EL, PC, NYC and so forth and "took them over" or "bailed them out" so that the Conrail of today is a success. In your note you didn't specify that we were talking about Class I roads only or excluding shortlines.

Had you written "what Class I railroad beside Amtrak or Conrail ever got a bailout" I might have agreed.

  • these are bnsf locomotives u should see the aftermath

  • bail

  • Who would flag this video????

  • @zwendo A liberal

  • What would the wreckage of locked like?...Did anyone get injured i wonder?

  • @dilwich123 Enter in "Head on Collision"by mustang6603 to see the aftermath of this wreck.Minor injuries.no one was killed.

  • 0:42 someone jump of the Train to the grass, that must be the conductor

  • @rainshadow000 yes i saw a man jumping from train to run for his/her life

  • Wow.... It's kinda pointless to jump of the train just to lay in the path of the other derailing cars....

  • @OGZ32 not when the crumplezone of the train cab is your face..

  • @OGZ32 He still had time to get up quicky and run away to save his own life... which is what I suspect is what he did.

  • lol guy jumping out of train

  • someone is jumping out hte train at 0:43

  • @multiplakband

    Well spotted.

  • @multiplakband uh, WHERE?

  • @ChrisbCrusty On the left of the oncoming train

  • autch......

  • Stupid conductors, couldnt they stop the train, they had plenty of time. Its not like their blind.

    probably blind and stupid.

  • @MyMIXmedia I only hope you are joking.BTW.The engineer runs the train.NOT the conductor.

  • @MyMIXmedia Good point. Freight trains are often used in common figures of speech as they are known for their excellent braking performance.

  • @MyMIXmedia How can anyone who writes as poorly as you do call anyone else stupid.

  • @MyMIXmedia Let's see YOU try and stop thousands of tons of freight train on a dime. The average distance of a moving train at track speed like this one was going is typically roughly a mile. By the time they saw that other train it was already too late. The one truly at fault was the train of which you saw someone jump out. the train that the camera was on board of was doing as planned and getting on the side track. BTW, the Engineer, not the conductor controls the train moron.

  • @AndySpeed88 Actually you won't. This is not the Clarendon incident. This took place in California at a place some refer to as Kismet siding.

  • @charlieb640 Fair point. Had a look on the internet regarding that, seems as if it wasn't as bad a rail crash as I'd thought (i.e. no fire) but was still very heavy. Thanks for correcting me

  • Comment removed

  • @AndySpeed88 wrong

  • lol

  • da paura !

  • haha. just before impact the other train driver jumps out. 0:38

  • I'm going off the rails on a crazy train...:D

  • The driver of the other train can be seen jumping to ground on the left side of the video just before impact. LOL.

  • @reuven1967 LOL!

  • this is an example of just plain drunk signal work person no offence....

  • @TheMasterT97 SEE THE DUDE JUMP OUT AT 0:40

  • @TheMasterT97 why the hell would you comment on ur own comment. It's cinda weird.

  • @johneeo21 im kinda new to youtube, i was trying to learn how to post a comment so when to this vid one that i saw a while ago and rated and commented twice on my own comment weirdly but i didn't know i did that....

  • @TheMasterT97 oh, my bad :(

  • @TheMasterT97 No offence as you are completely wrong. The signals were fine. The crew on the train without the camera ran the signals.

  • O DAMN

  • Anybody else see the signal go red right as the camera train approached the siding?

  • @kodack10 Yes.The oncoming train failed to stop at an earlier red signal. The signal at 0:40 drops to red because the oncoming train fouled the interlocking signal circuit.

  • Just like in the cartoons, haha

  • It was the drivers fault who jumped, he passed the other signal he should have been waiting at....

  • guy jumped out... right where his train would have gotten pushed after the collision. did he survive?

  • Oops that man was sooo luck he jump out!!

  • @mboneit Maybe, but it looks like the trains tipped over? I am wondering if the conductor in the train whose camera we watched made it out alive? The wreck wasn't his fault, it was the one who jumped's fault! =(

  • Were there fatalities? =(

  • Nice sound...

  • @Jefferasmus yes, I seeeee him

  • Why didn't the oncoming train back up? Did he not have enough time? Or was he on fucking pills?

  • @musicphan1 Its not that easy for a train to just back up when they are pulling at least a hundred cars.

  • @musicphan1 trains take a long time to start moving, it's physics.
