  • Enjoy !

  • awesome!!

  • ti amo adrian

  • brividi alla schiena

  • gooooooooooooooooooooood sound

  • Masterpiece.

    a real, true, dark song.

    It's one of my favourite.

thank you for sharing and greetings from Italy.

  • one of my personal top 10 soundsong ever

    love it a lot

    adrian borland is unknow legend!!!

  • Everybody who thinks this band is nothing go home take a shower and blamre yourself

  • @ronaldvanderkleij that's a fact

  • i was smoking heroin when on the radio they said adrian borland just killed himself... i was like fuck... last week it was the plasmatics singer what the fuck is going on...

  • Wonderful song

  • One of my favorite song ever...

  • So brilliant. I saw them play twice. Really great

  • U2 is far from bad if u ask me

but why not like both this is nonsense if u ask me

u can 'not like' u2 but they're far from bad

they didn't make it without any effort

  • adrian borland and ian curtis two dark angels in the sky!!!

  • Such a great song.

  • Yeah, U2 is so fucking bad. Give me a break. I can't believe this constant yammering by imbeciles who compare everything to U2 and think U2 is shit. Fuck, you must have selective hearing.

  • must say bowie did his job to boost the music with new sounds ...just goto love those fuzzy gutiar playing :)

  • dark ages like in the eighties again... no band now that translates this like the sound did.....

  • There is a great video of this out there somewhere - Black and White as I remember - anyone know of it's where about's?

  • Just really, really fucking great..The world is a poorer place without Adrian Borland in it....

  • really good. Adrians phrasing is absoloutely out of this world. genius.

  • 6 justin bieber's fan disliked it

  • @chachamanuloli

I would have thought it was 6 people who think Zooropa is U2s best work.

  • I feel like if Adrian Borland had jumped in front of a train after this album the Sound would be as big as Joy Division is today. Both bands are amazing and have such raw emotions/power.

  • 4 assholes disliked.

  • haha I removed a comment because I was listening to the fall on media player and forgot I was. Anyways yeah, The sound didn't get enough air time in the states

  • I love the Sound and dozens of other obscure legends throughout time...but.....and I'm asking here, is 'recognition' the be and and end all? If you're enjoying a band at any moment, then what matter is it if the band got 'recognition' from the machine? What is that anyways? And if there's a pain, it should begin with the creator's for the music...and even still, that's selfish in a way, because music is always bigger than the musician themselves. So why all the lamentation folks? Money????

  • Li ho amati fino alla fine

  • "from the safest places come the bravest words"

  • Magnificent, nothing else I can think of describes this better than that. Adrian Borland was a very gifted individual, who left behind quite a grand legacy. Driven by the urge to create and express himself, yet relentlessly haunted by the merciless spectre of depression. This was a great man, who is sorely missed by many.

  • how come these guys didnt succeed major recognition????

  • JOY DIVISION BEST FUCKING BAND TO EVER WALK THE FACE OF THIS FUCKING EARTH!!!!!!!!

  • good n_n

  • fantastica

  • Fantastico!!

  • they're still burning witches on punishment hill....

  • Ah man. post punk music is great for the soul. Joy Division,Echo & The Bunnymen, Birthday Party, The Smiths. Can't ask for more. Lady Ga Ga has nothing on this music.

  • @joshama87 who the hell is lady gaga?

  • maar dat dachten wij toendertijd wel.

    R.I.P. Adrian

  • Starts of a little sounding like Jim Morrison and ends up sounding like Ian from Echo and the Bunnymen. still a great band. I havn't heard them in years. I forgot about so many of these bands. Like The Names and Gang of Four. I have had a new discovery of them.

  • This is one of the best songs of "The Dark 80's".

  • Wasted Youth(the UK post-punk band) borrowed alot from this song for their own epic masterpeice "Survivors" 1 & 2....The Sound were so influential on many,...And don't forget about Second Layer too!, world of rubber lp is a freakin masterpeice!

  • "Splendid" would be an understatement.

  • Ditto... one of my favorite albums ever... MASTERPIECE ! I agree with everyone here !!! Highly underrated.. but we know :-)

  • pioneers in those days

  • Production on this track is so incredible. The whole album is incredible. The Sound is incredible. So sad that they are so vastly underrated. It's a crime against music, really. This is timeless.

  • damn this gots a good sound

  • PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!

  • from one of the best albums ever....

  • From The Lions Mouth is one of my favourate records of all time.

That album was perfect, not one bad track on it.

Back in 84 I had the pleasure of meeting these guys when they were drinking in the pub where I worked. Saw Adrian perform solo at the end of the nineties and loved it.

How this band never got the accolades they deserved is one of lifes great mysteries.

Hope you've found some peace Adrian.

  • "from the safest places, come the bravest words!"

    such brilliance!

  • Dark times are not ended at all!!!

  • best band ever.

  • minuto 1:32 suban a tope el volumen. Es impresionante.

  • Oh hell yeah..

  • Bei tempi !

  • @vincenzomaiorino70 a chi lo dici..... sigh*

  • Kilroy was here

  • Best Newwavesong ever!!!I danced 1982-83 to this that was THE time!!!

    RIP Adrian Borland

  • Thanks !

  • This is one of my favorite tracks. Its lyrics are just as poignant today, if not more so than in '81. Its sound is still relevant, as more 'indie' bands borrow from the criminally overlooked post-punk movements.

The Sound has always deserved a larger audience. I can't for the life of me understand why Echo & The Bunnymen have reached such (relative) commercial and critical success whilst Adrian Borland's material gets the shaft. Not to say that The Bunnymen are anything but great listening.

  • Because theyere more metal than idiotpop!

  • <3!!!

  • Emotional

  • Here comes a new dark age!!!

  • grandi the sound

  • Απίστευτο!!!!

  • Grazie Couvelombarda. Great Song!

  • I was there 82 Enschede

  • U2? Fuck...Adrian Borland vs Bono Vox? 10-0

  • ma asdasd vero vero !!

  • U2 suck!, the sound rules!, great band! and great song!

  • it's a rare thing for one to find a song with such power and emotion

  • they should have been huge U2 style ,The Chameleons as well. Wonder what went wrong.

    A gem, seminal.

  • u2 style? u2 thake the sound sound

  • you are absolutely right

  • Thank you,

I am also U2 fan. Maybe the sound of the sound?

  • I lost my love for U2 .saw them in belgium 1983, and madrid 1993 or 94, i don't even remember. They were great shows but i'm not a fan of stadium shows. When listening to U2, it doesn't have whatsoever effect on me, but when I hear the Sound, I promise that every single hair of my body raises off!!!

  • I love this band!!

  • i found this band on accident, but man am i glad i did!!!

    they are amazing

  • ...cant believe its from 1980, sounds soo modern

  • hello gaae2000,

you're so right, and it also makes us 80-iers feel less old... hehe

  • ps: thank u

    secul999 for sending!!

  • 5* that sound so modern! could be from today! great: )

  • great song. I don't know very much this band... It reminds me a strange mix of Echo & Bunnymen y de The Cure.

  • ca c du lourd

  • desth is the end of pain..........

  • love

  • ce groupe et a decouvrir pour les jeunes c enorme

  • it doesn't get any darker than this indeed.the cure and the sound reached the darkest recesses of our souls

  • what about joy division?

  • its a wonderfull band to, adrian was possessed about ian and jim and they were a major influence of his music/band style, but, the sound was even more underrated than joy division since they had'nt the same recognition that joy division had...

  • @COUVELOMBARDA yeah but Ian was dead by the time joy division got world wide sucess.

  • you're right bassmaster.I shouldn't have forgotten joy division as well.Ian Curtis was a lost soul too

  • cosa aggiungere?.....

  • Non è da tutti apprezzare i Sound, fiori dimenticati del dark...bravo/a
