oh my good they look just like the puppy i used to puppysit!!!!!!! it is my neighbors dog nd she is a teacher @ my school so i used to puppysit her when she couldnt get home. SHES SO BIG NOW. her name is keeper....they named her tht cause "she's a keeper" but they say they shouldve named her jumper cause they cant "keeper" still LOL

You probably already have your new cockapoo but if you're still looking for advice then,

1. They are very smart and will learn things fast. Start training early.

2. They are very smart and because of that, they will try and out smart you.

3. Crate training! My cockapoo HATED her crate at first but now loves it. It's like a little cave for her. She hides treats in it and willingly goes to it at night to sleep.

4. Put them in the crate when you leave for a couple hours. Not in a big open area.

@Oblivion1313: How right you are! Our Cockapoo would outsmart us every time. He even outsmarted the kids playing stickball outside by stealing the tennis balls they would use, and hiding them inside the house. We didn't find them until much later. A total of about 50 were recovered! The most entertaining dogs in the world are Cockapoos. Very much "people dogs".

Yes, they are "people dogs" haha we would always say that our little cockapoo secretly wants to be human. And yes, they do outsmart you! hahaha

BeautifulDreamerK: We'd say the same about our Cockapoo, and he DID act human at times. He sure was popular with all of our friends, and family members. Many of them went out and got Cockapoos of their own.

4. (cont.) Leaving them in a big open are like a kitchen when you leave seems like a good idea to let them run around but open areas get them EXTREMELY stressed out. Being in the crate makes them feel secure. The crate should be big enough for them to get up, turn around, and lay back down.

5.Get on a bathroom schedule. It will help you know what times of the day you will need to take them out.

5. (cont.) My puppy poops 4 times a day. Once when she gets up, a little after breakfast, late afternoon, and before she goes to bed. Learning when they have to go will help a lot. My cockapoo will go potty throughout the day so I still watch for that.

6. Don't keep switching foods. If your dog likes one, sitck with it. If you keep switching flavors, your dog will get picky and will hold out for certain foods.

7.Play! Cockapoos love to play and love to be with people.
