I asked you if you knew anything about other belief systems and philosophies, and your reply made mention of Christianity, which PROVES my point, that you're a moron trying to pass as knowledgble. The answer of course, is you know NOTHING. Maybe it's your myopic definittion of God that is unaccetable to you but eh same way you lump all belief systems together you seem to lump all understanding of so broad and misused term. I am not a christian, or muslim or jew
I love how every time I wanna' watch a video about the universe, I can't even scroll through the comments without it being filled with religious debates. Actually scratch that... they're not religious debates... it's just a bunch of idiots arguing over the internet about shit they don't understand. There should a website for that. Oh wait, there are millions of them. But, YouTube should not be one of them. Comment on the video.
@tastycookie55 Well you dont know that for sure, if you don't believe in god, you should look this up,its actually a belief/religion. Our bodys are made of energy, the energy makes us who we are. Energy cannot be destroyed. So when we die our energy goes somewhere. It has to. Maybe we become a different life form.Who knows. We will never truly die. Our energy that has been with every individual me and you, Will live forever,we will always be"alive"in someway.i can make it more detailed. Write me
Some people believe that our entire life is a simulation, and when we finally die the simulation restarts with no memory of your previous life. In fifty to a hundred years, we will have increased processing powers of modern computers by 150x. Who knows, we may be in a super computer simulator thats capable of handling and processing all information in our known universe. WE cant even comprehend how vast our universe really is! Its really trippy if you think about life like that.
@laur121212 I can explain that to you. Our body is made of pure energy"our souls"the law of energy is,energy cannot be created or destroyed. So when we die our energy must go somewhere. And where did the energy come to make us because it cannot be created. And the energy in your body is yours, so maybe we are "reincarnated"into a different life form. I can explain better, its just i can only type a limited amount of words on these comment boxes. If you want to learn more i can help you. write me
Well, what i think is the most interesting is that: WTF did exsist BEFORE the zero hour of the universe's history? Im not saying it was god, coz i know it wasnt him, but there had to be *something* that made Hydrogen, i mean something real that is not in connection with religion
You KNOW this? And just exactly how do you KNOW this? Is it because you were told? I may not have enough evidence to prove God, to YOU. But you don't have any proof that he doesn't. There is a key difference. I argue my faith, that I have the right to believe he is. You just say he doesn't flat out.. I just hope and have faith. I do what's right, and I love my relationship with God.
What relationship? He bought you a pint of beer and you had a friendly chat with him? You think like a medieval theologist. Medieval theologists said that if there is something we dont know of, then its made by god. Be modern, and if you really want to make mistakes say "I dont know" or "Maybe everything consisted of nothing" and you even said a good paradox.
Have you tried it? Have you tried being a friend? Its not how I think, but I don't think you quite understand just how great a relationship(a friendship) with God is. When you have a problem that can not be solved by another, like say you feel horrible about something, and no person can really help, they can help you feel better, but they cant really help. Call on God. He may send someone to help you, or help you find your own way. He helps those who help themselves.
Yea well i like meeting my friends personally and shaking hands with them. Beat that. And when i feel bad i just have a chat with someone on skype or personally. Sometimes i feel lonely cuz i dont have a girlfriend... but i say to myself: I will need that spiritual pain as motivation. Its iron will, that is. Human will can do wonders you know. And I dont mind if you have something to believe in, its a good thing even, i just dont want anyone to convert me.
First off nobody has to prove that God doesn't exist, any more then they have to prove the tooth fairy or Santa Claus don't exist. That's not how it works. The person making the positive claim has to provide the evidence, and so far those that believe in the Christian God (as well as all the other religions) have failed to do so.
Second, your personal "relationship" with God is just with yourself. You compartmentalize problems and call one of the compartments "God". It is all in your head.
@icemachine79 right... because science says so and science can do no wrong.. science is your god... you guys have been wrong SOOOOO many times im suprised people still choose to believe you 100%!
@DAFTTECHNO I'm not personally trying to prove anything; but there are neurotheologists who have started uncovering some compelling evidence to support my second statement.
See, the funny thing is (although I havent followed the conversation) but what I have seen by your comment is that you compare God to Santa Clause or the Tooth Fairy. See, the problem with this is that you are comparing an age-old belief (and religion) to two children's myths that were created post 200 years ago. Just saying, but I love how if no one has found evidence of God, chew on this...
@TheSpartan008 Oh, but there is proof of an expanding universe, actually happening right now. I believe it's called "Red shift", which basically is light changing colour due to movement.
On the santa/tf note, I believe that what he was trying to say is: The sentence "You cannot disprove god" is essentially the same rhetoric as "You cannot disprove Santa Claus or the toothfairy". THis is a way of proving the former sentence useless, since it cannot be used to specifically proving one specificGod
I see what you're trying to say, but see, it just baffles me at how scientists and others try to think. They create these theories completely founded on imagination, such as the Big Bang Theory, and yet they dissaprove of someone's belief in God.
This is what I just don't seem to understand. How can you dissapprove of one theory but completely support another, when "supposedly" there's the same amount of evidence for both: NONE!
@TheSpartan008 But there IS proof of an event similar to the Big Bang happening about 13,7 billion years ago (I believe the english word is billion, i suck at english numerals).
They say there is. This theory could be, in fact, totally wrong. There's evidence of various things in the Bible that they say, but you would put those down. See what Im getting at?
As far as i know there is 1 universe. Ive heard of a method to calculate the approximate movement of a galaxy (yep, they move cuz of the big bang) and the distance keeps rising, as they move away from each other, but they found a galaxy that is moving the completely opposite direction. WTF WERE THERE MULTIPLE BIG BANGS OR UNIVERSES? XD
@HUNDuffman perhaps 2 galaxies were moving slightly towards each other, over time swinging around each other and shooting off in opposite directions...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
People have to think. Who created the heavens and the earth and the sun and moon, day and night and the planets and other celestial bodies and the jinn and mankind and animals that God the Creator creator Jabbar Almtaker. Must therefore faith in God and the Muslim faith and follow the Sunnah of the Messenger Muhammad and this is the way to happiness in Chih Aldnia and the Hereafter.
Well since we are all speaking our respectful opinions. I as a christ follower, have asked that before. I came to the conclusion that maybe a problem in understanding this is that in the bible it says that those that are there have had a creator. This might mean that God may have considered this the law of the universe. However creation may be a concept thought up by God, maybe up there, creation is all completely human thing. Im not saying you have to believe in it, but do you get my point?
Maybe you've spent so much time thinking religion is simple minded that you can't understand how deeply thought of it is. You can't love something without meaning to do so deeply.
and in my comment I also addressed your comment before you even thought of it. That maybe until we can see for ourselves we wont understand what evidence we have of the lord, I believe I understand it, I cant understand it ALL obviously, but I try instead of assuming that I absolutely know everything.
ok now religion is simple minded as it is formed by personal experience and tries to
get at the mmostt primal fears of people to scare them into joining or hey you will burn forever :D (and specificly i know christianity is simple minded because i used to be christian not just oh il go to church once week christian like the bible believing gay hating fundamentalist christian)
I mean, while I ma believe I have enough evidence, it is obviously not enough for you. So, where is your proof that he does not exist? Get what I'm saying? Thats why im not so quick to say that you're wrong, because I respect people's beliefs, and while I have faith that he does exist, and I believe it with all my heart, I can't show you that you are wrong. Now, it is true that I do hope that maybe you can see my proof for yourself. Without LSD
you are instantly put off because to someone who was not indoctrinated into your beliefs successfully it is just like telling us that their is a invisible flying dragon in your garage it is so ludicrous that you would just look at the person like they are insane
That's how i try to understand your point of view though. I can understand how it might not sound right. I mean, it might be a long shot, but wtf, what if there was a invisible dragon in my garage, you would feel like a dick lol
if their is no evidence for a invisible dragon why believe in it worship it and give your money to spread the church of the invisible garage dragon and try to change the laws of the government to the invisible dragons will even if the people saying they know what the invisible dragon wants have no evidence the invisible dragon ever even talked to them?
@Edwardcbiv Religion hampers progress and destroys entire civilizations. maybe at one point it was used for the intention of creating hope and goodness in people but nowadays it is a perverted cause for war and violence. All of your "evidence" is just blind faith in something you want to believe in because it would pain you immensely to learn that you are indeed alone, insignificant and forlorn in this universe without cause.
@Edwardcbiv It's a lot easier to believe something when millions of others believe the same thing, but that still doesn't make it true. I'm sure your belief in God has comforted you during rough times, so of course you'll be resistant to anything that denies the existence of God. What you have to do is separate it all out; i.e. just because someone in the church is nice to you doesn't mean they're right about everything. Plus many claims by the church have been proved wrong over the years.
@Edwardcbiv "I didnt even read your post... thats how much I dont care what you have to say and how random your response was" all that proves is your sheer ignorance and unwillingness to hear the argument of another... kind of like the rest of the church.
@Edwardcbiv You have all the rights to belive in your so called god, but just as @icemachine79 sais nobody has proven annything so far, just some stories
@icemachine79 Just because someone wears a clean coat and uses big words and puts thing under a microscope doesn't make everything science says 100% true.
@Weraisethenerdyflag and just because someone wheres a clean robe and uses descriptive words and puts things over a really really old book doesnt make everything religion say 100% true.
@Weraisethenerdyflag No real scientist would claim that "everything science says 100% true". Scientific theories can certainly be wrong; they are often superseded when more facts and better instrumentation becomes available. But science itself isn't a question of "right" or "wrong". Science is simply observation and analysis of the world around us. It is not something to be worshiped any more than your own senses.
wow they actually put a video of the new alien Solar System thats getting Dragged pulled into ours, and join together in 2010, 2011 or 2012.If it ends up happening we will have 2 moons like ?? said
the big bang is a colapse of a sudden gravity shift through the big black void before it.this is cuaseing netreuns an particals to build up into stars creating supernovas creating clouds that form into the existance of basicly anything existing.
this is my therroy although im not like a proffesor nerd and stuff but im learning the ropes with pysics. i actually might think this is an active responce
however scientists can't actually prove that "the big bang" made us or what made the big bang, it's just theory's trying to prove that another theory is correct!
GOD creating us all and everything else that is "something" is just as likely as any "theory"!
Creation itself is a "theory" that we've all been taught is how it works in school etc so your mind tell's you that in order for something to exist, something MUST have created this "something"!
i believe that the theory of evolution is true but i also believe that a higher being (alien) altered us to what we are today other wise we would be apes or apes would more or less be human
and what higher being altered the (aliens) to what they are?? other aliens? and who altered the other aliens to what they are ??? ... I believe in evolution theory and something almighty too, but this almighty have to be independend of our principles to capture the role of the MAINACTION for the "BIG BANG - REACTION" in our universe - kind a ""principle overlapping force of nature"" -- sorry for my bad english :)
well evolution could have been thier story or anything im just saying thats what i believe i dont believe that its definatly true but we have been visted and how come we are differant to apes (or what the closest relative of humans is called i cant remember) but if we werent altered then what could have made us evolve better than other ape like creatures. ide love to know the truth though.
I think about: maybe the "humans" are not centred on one planet. maybe the "aliens" you call it , are just highly-developed human races. Even on our planet are many kind of human races, black/white/small ones with chinks?? Human is adaptable!! its just a funny theory but why not think about it :)
So u have the knowledge to say that there is no other "being" except of our material universe?
Even Scientist dont know what the smallest particle is or what our universe and its live really consists of.
But let me explain,.. an average Guy like you who knows NOTHING about his universe or about his planet /except its surface) even NOTHING about the developement of his race. But u KNOW that there is no other BEING?
First you`re talking about god, then you`re talking about another "being"or beings)?...two completly defferent things, religion only holds us back, and trust me I know a lot more than you about the "devolopement" of the human race...
It dims you, permanently closes your mind to other possibilities other than what you read in a book that was written by MEN almost two millennia ago... Do you trust your life in medical writings from that time also???
Not true! I find that religion and science go together quite nicely.
Science can not prove nor disprove the existence of God. Science was created by man to explore his world and beyond!
And there are times where I would much rather heal my self at the writings of Galen then at the hands of some punk doctor that is only there for the paycheck! And you can't turn to science in times of say emotional duress!
Men that believe there is no higher being then themselves are a danger not only to themselves but society. For this is the womb from which tyrants are spawn!
That was pretty good... I think I just made that up...
when u think about something almighty, u have to think about another "being"(afterlife) too. you think that our modern technology and sciences are faultless and that the idea of something almighty comes from people "who cant explain our world" - but U can explain your world?
And why you think religion hold us back ??? knowledge and sciences are very important component of every serious religion.they all say: "YOU HAVE TO GATHER KNOWLEDGE" ---that part pounds ur opinion
Honestly I have no clue what you are trying to say,but I never claimed, nor do I believe science is faultless...Im not bashing anyones religion here, and I cannot even begin to explain my beliefs in a comment on youtube....Chill out people.
Actually yuba4tech, the burden isnt on our shoulders to prove to you that a god doesnt exist. The burden is all yours to prove he does exist. If you cant prove it, then he doesnt exist until further evidents have been provided.
Would be like saying invisible unicorns exists but we just cant prove it.
Based on all the information we have aquired in the universe nothing points towards a godly being existing. We cant say for sure god doesnt exist but we can say its very unlikely. Thats science.
I cant prove that something almighty exists, noone can.
But we can exclude some theories by analyze the facts of our knowledge.
And what u said is wrong: u cant say "its very unlikely" that there is nothing allmighty. Because all the information we have is "FOR SURE" nothing in contrast of the whole thing. SO u cant draw on informations u have for now, thats an antilogy, if u draw on those informations - u have to take account of that our informations are vague -THATS science..its all theorie
If you cant prove that something almighty exists, then it doesnt exist. Then its about probability. And what science leads towards is that according to holy bibles gods doesnt exist, cus' every thing that god made in the bible was made naturally by the universe (perhaps in the exception of the big bang).
SO IE very low probability.
So I CAN draw on informations that have been collected. Religious gods doesnt exists but an almighty being might, though again very unlikely.
deep sciences is all about probabiliy ...the history of our since is an ongoing process of improvement, so if u dont think that your information about the "being" in our universe is perfect, u cant say that "something almighty" doesnt exist. its not like "invisible unicorns". cause the being of our universe is always made by an "ACTION" and a "REACTION". at the latest from "BIG BANG" you have to think about some other "power/might" what created these chain reaction of our universe and life.
Who is to say that invisible unicorns didnt create our universe? You have the knowledge to argue against that?
What do you mean by action, reaction?
Sure, something else might also have triggered the big bang/life, we just dont know what yet. Its not like we can take a good look at what happened billions of years ago. Sure you can bet on god did it, but thats just not very scientifically. And for the most part science seems to be the rules of our universe so not smart to argue against those.
Every "event" in our universe was made by an "action" in our universe except of big bang
I dont argue against the rules of our universe, but i dont think that the trigger of "our life" depends of the same rules of "our life".You're right, we cant look what happened billions of years ago.The facts are that there have to be some "higher force of (nature)" in ancient world they called it "god", the question isnt if there exists god or not.The question is what is "god/allmighty/higherforceofnature"
Every event in our universe had been done purely by its laws and natural selection. There havent been any 'action, reaction' going on cus' that requires someone to perform it.
In ancient worlds they called what they didnt understand, couldnt explain or feared for 'gods work'. Death is one thing they didnt understand and feared hence afterlife, thunder they didnt understand hence gods wrath, quakes the same and etc.
Thats what god/allmighty etc of the ancient world is. Lack of knowledge.
You dont understand what i mean,.. with "action" i mean everything in our universe is a product of a previously triggered process" (performed by our nature) except of the big bang. We know the Big Bang cant released itself [cause than we had a "reaction" without "action"], cause everything in our universe (like i said) needs a previously triggered process.
You know that the theory of "BIG BANG" isnt proven at all do you ?
quote:[Every event in our universe had been done purely by its laws and natural selection] <--- When Big bang was the beginning of the Universe and its laws, how it could made itself by its own laws ?? thats illogical.
This is the point that i say "big bang" cant release itself.
So the universe as we know it was created by a very massive supernova?
Doesn't sound very plausible to me. Keep in mind that for a supernova you need a star, and a star that is pretty massive at that. And the larger a star, the smaller a life span it has. If the universe we know was created by an extremely large star, then there would be extremely large - and larger - stars out there, also with short life spans so in the 4.6 billion years Earth has been here...
... we should have seen at least one, probably more, of very massive supernova/hypernova. And if the universe that we know was created by a supernova of a super massive star, then our universe would probably be a nebula. In the 15 or so billion years the universe has been here, something should have formed by now in that giant nebula, something that would be extremely massive - and we have yet to see it.
Not by a supernova. A supernova is a result from a star exploding. I said a Supernova happens without outer-intervention and therefore the big bang could as well. You're twisting my words - a characteristic from believers and creationists.
Read up on the big crunch theory, find it on wikipedia. Takes too long to explain and im geting tired of repeating myself.
"A star. A star can collapse on its own after fueling itself for too long. Maybe thats also what the big bang was all about?"
That IS a supernova, a type two supernova to be specific. When the star dies the core implodes on itself and becomes a neutron star, its outer layers being blasted out into space as nebulae. I'm not twisting your words - I'm debunking the theory you suggested.
Besides, believing in a god in the ancient world must surely have been comfortable and relieving with all the frightening things life had to offer. Its not difficult to understand why religions came so widespread and so popular.
But it just happened that some people at some point in history figured this out by themselves and took advantage of it. The results of that is the religions we see nowadays everywhere; christianity, Islam and Judaism as the major ones.
Its wrong to say the "idea of god" is a lack of knowledge, its the way how messengers tried to explain the world, today you would say :its kind a *higher force of nature/system* what released the big bang.
So when they say : "God created the stars and the earth"- its not wrong, cause "God"(the higher force of nature/system) created with Big Bang the universe and its system of life what made the stars and the earth too.
Its also a problem of language. In ancient world there were no words for "big bang" or "quantum physics",.. ok some religions/cults are curious,..but i speak about monotheism.
Its naturally that people in history trying to take advantages of religion/races/differents, but that have nothing to do with the main idea of religion.
for example: If you find a way to forge indestructable steel, your steel will be used primary for weapons. The steel isnt bad of its own, its that what human doing with.
You're right. The purpose of religions wasnt exacly as it is now as it were back in the ancient world. It is only when the abrahamic religions came along that advantages were taken.
They tried to explain the world through lack of knowledge. They invented ideas so the world would make sense in their eyes because they had no real knowledge of what happened around them.
So when they say god created the stars and the earth it was wrong. We know what happened now down to the big bang so we dont need god anymore to explain anything.
quote:[They invented ideas so the world would make sense in their eyes because they had no real knowledge of what happened around them] <- whats wrong about this? there have to be anything what released the universe/big bang, it sounds logical for me. call it "god" "allmighty" or "higher force of nature of another being/dimension"
Big bang is an unproven theory, in 1000 years they will say we invented a "big bang" to explain our world.
Of course big bang is a theory. We cant look back billions of years to see what happened. But we can see our universe expanding and if you reverse this expansion everything would withdraw into 1 spot.
Here's another theory, i dont know if it exists.
We know that galaxies are drawn to each other because of their supermassive black holes. At some point maybe all galaxies would end up in 1 galaxy. All stars would be sucked into the black hole and when it has no more stuff to suck in what then?
if all galaxies ended up in one galaxie. and no more stuff for the black holes to gather. everything would run in to eachother, because of its rowtashens.
I know this theorys, but they dont exclude a higher force,... i dont say that a higher force triggers every event in this universe,... i just say that when our expanding universe was at point 0, anything had to gave the impuls for its (Big bang) expanding and its creation of its stars/galaxies and systems.
It burst out, perhaps there were no more space or matter to suck in and it collapsed into itself. As i said like a star. The only thing the presumed object that caused the big had to have of impulses was itself. It does exclude a higher force. A star collapsing doesnt need a higher force and i think the big bang was somewhat similar to an ordinary supernova. We already have theories of what caused stars and galaxies to form. Its just the big bang we are missing.
So you say that the Big Bang was made by a collapsing star/Blackhole/Matter?? Thats bullshit , from where does this Star/Blackhole/Matter come from?? Universe/Galaxies/Stars/Matter were created by Big bang, and not otherwise. There Have to be ONE Beginning of our Universe, and it cant be a black hole or something.
Whose to say there hasn't been many big bangs.. We can't see before the big bang anyway and furthermore it is just a theory. There could have been a universe before ours that collapsed in into itself into what we now know is the Big Bang...
Your questions are the same as any scientists questions, there can't be a beginning from one singularity. In plain English, the Big Bang is just one step in a process that has yet to be discovered. So, we don't know... YET.
ok i know how we can investigate black holes, so a guy has a rope wrapped around his waist, he goes in a black hole ( home made of course ) and walks inside, tug the rope if scared =D
If he has to do that you will need equipment that can stand temperatures over 15 billion degrees celcius and plus hold a human and maintain an inner temperature of 32 ~ 27 degree celcius. plus when you are inside you won't see anything
to study a blcak hole? you need something a LOT stronger than that. it has to be able to withstand infinite gravitational pressure, traveling nearly at the speed of light, probably higher than 15 bill degrees C, etc. etc. (can't forget the rope)
I'm asuming a machine, robotic arm, etc. would be used to pull the guy back in?
Plus, how would we get a man willing enough to possibly be ripped apart by time and space?
Then again, we can just put ads in our local paper....or load up an astroughnought (sorry bad spelling it's really late and I'm lucky I can see the computer)
yeah ...it is race agaist time we should be better like simoncuming 41 said we should have our moon base on moon or mars by now . we dont know what going to happen to our earth 50 year from now ; those asteroids are all around us that post a danger signal;our resource on this earth is in bad shape and our popuplations are stacking....
All we seem to do is send gimcrack junk up into Earth's orbit or cheap probes to other planets in our solar system. Little has progressed since the 'First Man on the Moon' and even that is speculative! We should be building bases on the moon or enhancing space travel not wasting money on futile wars!!
yeah i don't see the scientific relevance of having a base on the moon. recently we took a picture of space and discovered what is out in space (billions of galaxy's) and our next step is a telescope thats goin into space that's 10x better than hubble to see beyond that. i don't see how colonizing other planets is going to get us closer to anything other than humankind reverting back to its original ancestor the virus like bacteria. so to colonize on other planets is rather a retrogression :)
umm, let's see... more things to use to study things that go on, more ROOM for human beings so we don't have to fight as much (but would actually cause MORE fighting [human stupidity]) umm... more stuff that doesn't come to mind -innocent smile of stupidity-
God is real but he needs money, he's always broke and needs just a little more. God can't cruise around in a focus right, he needs a Maybach!

There is a key difference. I argue my faith, that I have the right to believe he is. You just say he doesn't flat out.. I just hope and have faith. I do what's right, and I love my relationship with God.
Edwardcbiv 2 years ago
What relationship? He bought you a pint of beer and you had a friendly chat with him? You think like a medieval theologist. Medieval theologists said that if there is something we dont know of, then its made by god. Be modern, and if you really want to make mistakes say "I dont know" or "Maybe everything consisted of nothing" and you even said a good paradox.
HUNDuffman 2 years ago
Have you tried it? Have you tried being a friend? Its not how I think, but I don't think you quite understand just how great a relationship(a friendship) with God is. When you have a problem that can not be solved by another, like say you feel horrible about something, and no person can really help, they can help you feel better, but they cant really help. Call on God. He may send someone to help you, or help you find your own way. He helps those who help themselves.
Edwardcbiv 2 years ago
Yea well i like meeting my friends personally and shaking hands with them. Beat that. And when i feel bad i just have a chat with someone on skype or personally. Sometimes i feel lonely cuz i dont have a girlfriend... but i say to myself: I will need that spiritual pain as motivation. Its iron will, that is. Human will can do wonders you know. And I dont mind if you have something to believe in, its a good thing even, i just dont want anyone to convert me.
Have a nice day.

@icemachine79
No one's found evidence of a big bang either =)
TheSpartan008 1 year ago
@TheSpartan008 Oh, but there is proof of an expanding universe, actually happening right now. I believe it's called "Red shift", which basically is light changing colour due to movement.
On the santa/tf note, I believe that what he was trying to say is: The sentence "You cannot disprove god" is essentially the same rhetoric as "You cannot disprove Santa Claus or the toothfairy". THis is a way of proving the former sentence useless, since it cannot be used to specifically proving one specificGod
Mallemaster 9 months ago
@Mallemaster
So that's what I'm trying to get at.
TheSpartan008 9 months ago
@TheSpartan008 But there IS proof of an event similar to the Big Bang happening about 13,7 billion years ago (I believe the english word is billion, i suck at english numerals).
Mallemaster 9 months ago
@Mallemaster
They say there is. This theory could be, in fact, totally wrong. There's evidence of various things in the Bible that they say, but you would put those down. See what Im getting at?
TheSpartan008 9 months ago
As far as i know there is 1 universe. Ive heard of a method to calculate the approximate movement of a galaxy (yep, they move cuz of the big bang) and the distance keeps rising, as they move away from each other, but they found a galaxy that is moving the completely opposite direction. WTF WERE THERE MULTIPLE BIG BANGS OR UNIVERSES? XD

@HUNDuffman perhaps 2 galaxies were moving slightly towards each other, over time swinging around each other and shooting off in opposite directions...

crazygeek777 2 years ago
Well since we are all speaking our respectful opinions. I as a christ follower, have asked that before. I came to the conclusion that maybe a problem in understanding this is that in the bible it says that those that are there have had a creator. This might mean that God may have considered this the law of the universe. However creation may be a concept thought up by God, maybe up there, creation is all completely human thing. Im not saying you have to believe in it, but do you get my point?

@Edwardcbiv Religion hampers progress and destroys entire civilizations. maybe at one point it was used for the intention of creating hope and goodness in people but nowadays it is a perverted cause for war and violence. All of your "evidence" is just blind faith in something you want to believe in because it would pain you immensely to learn that you are indeed alone, insignificant and forlorn in this universe without cause.
Toro953 1 year ago
@Edwardcbiv It's a lot easier to believe something when millions of others believe the same thing, but that still doesn't make it true. I'm sure your belief in God has comforted you during rough times, so of course you'll be resistant to anything that denies the existence of God. What you have to do is separate it all out; i.e. just because someone in the church is nice to you doesn't mean they're right about everything. Plus many claims by the church have been proved wrong over the years.

Very good comment from devilsnightforlife,
however scientists can't actually prove that "the big bang" made us or what made the big bang, it's just theory's trying to prove that another theory is correct!
GOD creating us all and everything else that is "something" is just as likely as any "theory"!
Creation itself is a "theory" that we've all been taught is how it works in school etc so your mind tell's you that in order for something to exist, something MUST have created this "something"!

i believe that the theory of evolution is true but i also believe that a higher being (alien) altered us to what we are today other wise we would be apes or apes would more or less be human
bogieman987 2 years ago
and what higher being altered the (aliens) to what they are?? other aliens? and who altered the other aliens to what they are ??? ... I believe in evolution theory and something almighty too, but this almighty have to be independend of our principles to capture the role of the MAINACTION for the "BIG BANG - REACTION" in our universe - kind a ""principle overlapping force of nature"" -- sorry for my bad english :)

well evolution could have been thier story or anything im just saying thats what i believe i dont believe that its definatly true but we have been visted and how come we are differant to apes (or what the closest relative of humans is called i cant remember) but if we werent altered then what could have made us evolve better than other ape like creatures. ide love to know the truth though.
and your english is more or less perfect :)

I think about: maybe the "humans" are not centred on one planet. maybe the "aliens" you call it , are just highly-developed human races. Even on our planet are many kind of human races, black/white/small ones with chinks?? Human is adaptable!! its just a funny theory but why not think about it :)

Science can not prove nor disprove the existence of God. Science was created by man to explore his world and beyond!

when u think about something almighty, u have to think about another "being"(afterlife) too. you think that our modern technology and sciences are faultless and that the idea of something almighty comes from people "who cant explain our world" - but U can explain your world?
And why you think religion hold us back ??? knowledge and sciences are very important component of every serious religion.they all say: "YOU HAVE TO GATHER KNOWLEDGE" ---that part pounds ur opinion

1thesandmancan1 3 years ago 2
Actually yuba4tech, the burden isnt on our shoulders to prove to you that a god doesnt exist. The burden is all yours to prove he does exist. If you cant prove it, then he doesnt exist until further evidents have been provided.
Would be like saying invisible unicorns exists but we just cant prove it.
Based on all the information we have aquired in the universe nothing points towards a godly being existing. We cant say for sure god doesnt exist but we can say its very unlikely. Thats science.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago 2
I cant prove that something almighty exists, noone can.
But we can exclude some theories by analyze the facts of our knowledge.
And what u said is wrong: u cant say "its very unlikely" that there is nothing allmighty. Because all the information we have is "FOR SURE" nothing in contrast of the whole thing. SO u cant draw on informations u have for now, thats an antilogy, if u draw on those informations - u have to take account of that our informations are vague -THATS science..its all theorie
yuba4teach 2 years ago
If you cant prove that something almighty exists, then it doesnt exist. Then its about probability. And what science leads towards is that according to holy bibles gods doesnt exist, cus' every thing that god made in the bible was made naturally by the universe (perhaps in the exception of the big bang).
SO IE very low probability.
So I CAN draw on informations that have been collected. Religious gods doesnt exists but an almighty being might, though again very unlikely.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago
deep sciences is all about probabiliy ...the history of our since is an ongoing process of improvement, so if u dont think that your information about the "being" in our universe is perfect, u cant say that "something almighty" doesnt exist. its not like "invisible unicorns". cause the being of our universe is always made by an "ACTION" and a "REACTION". at the latest from "BIG BANG" you have to think about some other "power/might" what created these chain reaction of our universe and life.
yuba4teach 2 years ago
Who is to say that invisible unicorns didnt create our universe? You have the knowledge to argue against that?
What do you mean by action, reaction?
Sure, something else might also have triggered the big bang/life, we just dont know what yet. Its not like we can take a good look at what happened billions of years ago. Sure you can bet on god did it, but thats just not very scientifically. And for the most part science seems to be the rules of our universe so not smart to argue against those.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago
Every "event" in our universe was made by an "action" in our universe except of big bang
I dont argue against the rules of our universe, but i dont think that the trigger of "our life" depends of the same rules of "our life".You're right, we cant look what happened billions of years ago.The facts are that there have to be some "higher force of (nature)" in ancient world they called it "god", the question isnt if there exists god or not.The question is what is "god/allmighty/higherforceofnature"
yuba4teach 2 years ago
Every event in our universe had been done purely by its laws and natural selection. There havent been any 'action, reaction' going on cus' that requires someone to perform it.
In ancient worlds they called what they didnt understand, couldnt explain or feared for 'gods work'. Death is one thing they didnt understand and feared hence afterlife, thunder they didnt understand hence gods wrath, quakes the same and etc.
Thats what god/allmighty etc of the ancient world is. Lack of knowledge.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago
You dont understand what i mean,.. with "action" i mean everything in our universe is a product of a previously triggered process" (performed by our nature) except of the big bang. We know the Big Bang cant released itself [cause than we had a "reaction" without "action"], cause everything in our universe (like i said) needs a previously triggered process.
yuba4teach 2 years ago
We know the big bang couldnt release itself?
When did we gather that information? I cant find anything that explains the bang itself, only the events that followed afterwards.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago
You know that the theory of "BIG BANG" isnt proven at all do you ?
quote:[Every event in our universe had been done purely by its laws and natural selection] <--- When Big bang was the beginning of the Universe and its laws, how it could made itself by its own laws ?? thats illogical.
This is the point that i say "big bang" cant release itself.
yuba4teach 2 years ago
I think you know what the big bang theory is so im skiping that.
Okay lets make an example.
A star. A star can collaps on its own after fueling itself for too long. Maybe thats also what the big bang was all about?
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago
So the universe as we know it was created by a very massive supernova?
Doesn't sound very plausible to me. Keep in mind that for a supernova you need a star, and a star that is pretty massive at that. And the larger a star, the smaller a life span it has. If the universe we know was created by an extremely large star, then there would be extremely large - and larger - stars out there, also with short life spans so in the 4.6 billion years Earth has been here...
TheHollowFootman 2 years ago 2
... we should have seen at least one, probably more, of very massive supernova/hypernova. And if the universe that we know was created by a supernova of a super massive star, then our universe would probably be a nebula. In the 15 or so billion years the universe has been here, something should have formed by now in that giant nebula, something that would be extremely massive - and we have yet to see it.
TheHollowFootman 2 years ago
Ditto.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago

Viz731 2 years ago
Not by a supernova. A supernova is a result from a star exploding. I said a Supernova happens without outer-intervention and therefore the big bang could as well. You're twisting my words - a characteristic from believers and creationists.
Read up on the big crunch theory, find it on wikipedia. Takes too long to explain and im geting tired of repeating myself.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago
You said:
TheHollowFootman 2 years ago
No, not a supernova. Probably something like a giga or tera massive black hole exploding, or perhaps a white hole.
Helge129 2 years ago
Besides, believing in a god in the ancient world must surely have been comfortable and relieving with all the frightening things life had to offer. Its not difficult to understand why religions came so widespread and so popular.
But it just happened that some people at some point in history figured this out by themselves and took advantage of it. The results of that is the religions we see nowadays everywhere; christianity, Islam and Judaism as the major ones.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago
Its wrong to say the "idea of god" is a lack of knowledge, its the way how messengers tried to explain the world, today you would say :its kind a *higher force of nature/system* what released the big bang.
So when they say : "God created the stars and the earth"- its not wrong, cause "God"(the higher force of nature/system) created with Big Bang the universe and its system of life what made the stars and the earth too.
yuba4teach 2 years ago
Its also a problem of language. In ancient world there were no words for "big bang" or "quantum physics",.. ok some religions/cults are curious,..but i speak about monotheism.
Its naturally that people in history trying to take advantages of religion/races/differents, but that have nothing to do with the main idea of religion.
for example: If you find a way to forge indestructable steel, your steel will be used primary for weapons. The steel isnt bad of its own, its that what human doing with.
yuba4teach 2 years ago
You're right. The purpose of religions wasnt exacly as it is now as it were back in the ancient world. It is only when the abrahamic religions came along that advantages were taken.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago
They tried to explain the world through lack of knowledge. They invented ideas so the world would make sense in their eyes because they had no real knowledge of what happened around them.
So when they say god created the stars and the earth it was wrong. We know what happened now down to the big bang so we dont need god anymore to explain anything.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago
quote:[They invented ideas so the world would make sense in their eyes because they had no real knowledge of what happened around them] <- whats wrong about this? there have to be anything what released the universe/big bang, it sounds logical for me. call it "god" "allmighty" or "higher force of nature of another being/dimension"
Big bang is an unproven theory, in 1000 years they will say we invented a "big bang" to explain our world.
yuba4teach 2 years ago
Of course big bang is a theory. We cant look back billions of years to see what happened. But we can see our universe expanding and if you reverse this expansion everything would withdraw into 1 spot.
Here's another theory, i dont know if it exists.
We know that galaxies are drawn to each other because of their supermassive black holes. At some point maybe all galaxies would end up in 1 galaxy. All stars would be sucked into the black hole and when it has no more stuff to suck in what then?
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago

if all galaxies ended up in one galaxie. and no more stuff for the black holes to gather. everything would run in to eachother, because of its rowtashens.

Or the black hole would begin to devour on itself until no more can be pressed into a single spot and it all would end up geting blown out.
I really dont know much about black holes but that sounds like a reasonable respons.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago
Just to show that there is no need for any supernatural higher force to trigger any event in the universe.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago
I know this theorys, but they dont exclude a higher force,... i dont say that a higher force triggers every event in this universe,... i just say that when our expanding universe was at point 0, anything had to gave the impuls for its (Big bang) expanding and its creation of its stars/galaxies and systems.
yuba4teach 2 years ago
It burst out, perhaps there were no more space or matter to suck in and it collapsed into itself. As i said like a star. The only thing the presumed object that caused the big had to have of impulses was itself. It does exclude a higher force. A star collapsing doesnt need a higher force and i think the big bang was somewhat similar to an ordinary supernova. We already have theories of what caused stars and galaxies to form. Its just the big bang we are missing.
Devilsnightforlife 2 years ago
So you say that the Big Bang was made by a collapsing star/Blackhole/Matter?? Thats bullshit , from where does this Star/Blackhole/Matter come from?? Universe/Galaxies/Stars/Matter were created by Big bang, and not otherwise. There Have to be ONE Beginning of our Universe, and it cant be a black hole or something.

ok i know how we can investigate black holes, so a guy has a rope wrapped around his waist, he goes in a black hole ( home made of course ) and walks inside, tug the rope if scared =D
chrisalops 3 years ago
simply genious. except for the facts the rope AND the man will be ripped apart..
=D
mightyling 3 years ago
well thats only a slight problem

true..

If he has to do that you will need equipment that can stand temperatures over 15 billion degrees celcius and plus hold a human and maintain an inner temperature of 32 ~ 27 degree celcius. plus when you are inside you won't see anything
xstaticdelta 3 years ago
to study a blcak hole? you need something a LOT stronger than that. it has to be able to withstand infinite gravitational pressure, traveling nearly at the speed of light, probably higher than 15 bill degrees C, etc. etc. (can't forget the rope)
mightyling 3 years ago
even if you meet the requirements you'll need to escape it somehow
p.s light is the fastest VISIBLE thing
p.s.s Didn't forget the rope
xstaticdelta 3 years ago
You don't HAVE to... And I believe there ARE faster things than light. Visible or in. Get the rope, johnny, I'm headed in!
mightyling 3 years ago
I'm asuming a machine, robotic arm, etc. would be used to pull the guy back in?
Plus, how would we get a man willing enough to possibly be ripped apart by time and space?
Then again, we can just put ads in our local paper....or load up an astroughnought (sorry bad spelling it's really late and I'm lucky I can see the computer)
on whisky ;)

yeah ...it is race agaist time we should be better like simoncuming 41 said we should have our moon base on moon or mars by now . we dont know what going to happen to our earth 50 year from now ; those asteroids are all around us that post a danger signal;our resource on this earth is in bad shape and our popuplations are stacking....
laoxxxiler 3 years ago 3
All we seem to do is send gimcrack junk up into Earth's orbit or cheap probes to other planets in our solar system. Little has progressed since the 'First Man on the Moon' and even that is speculative! We should be building bases on the moon or enhancing space travel not wasting money on futile wars!!
simoncuming41 3 years ago
but wheres the fun in that ?
Theonewith1nose 3 years ago
yeah i don't see the scientific relevance of having a base on the moon. recently we took a picture of space and discovered what is out in space (billions of galaxy's) and our next step is a telescope thats goin into space that's 10x better than hubble to see beyond that. i don't see how colonizing other planets is going to get us closer to anything other than humankind reverting back to its original ancestor the virus like bacteria. so to colonize on other planets is rather a retrogression :)

umm, let's see... more things to use to study things that go on, more ROOM for human beings so we don't have to fight as much (but would actually cause MORE fighting [human stupidity]) umm... more stuff that doesn't come to mind -innocent smile of stupidity-
