  • Loved all these shows, just the best, look what we have today !!!!!!

  • i loved noggin , my childhood ! thank you

  • A thing of great beauty which somehow tapped my viking past-Nooka was pretty hot-why did the Nogs have an Italian chef...what a farce :O

  • I just adored everything Oliver Postgate ever did...thankyou You tube community for letting new generations enjoy them as well...I'm forwarding now to my kids to share with their children...

  • Yes, sublime is the word! I've just sent it to my nephew.... :)

  • plz how do i get these on dvd all episodes

  • @kevinkards1 just google for DVD Noggin the Nog!

  • i loved this and the clangers, born in 68 i live in sydney australia now, i never thought i would ever see this again, god bless you tube

  • Superb......unlike today's children's tv which seems to be everyone shouting or talking rubbish.

  • @1:29, hilarious. he's just sitting in the trees!

  • God brings me back to when i was about 4 or 5, such a great programme to watch, had me gripped on every show, even though it was 10-12 years ago, i used to think that noggin the nog was advanced technology, i bet every child today would laugh if this was put infront of them.

  • Thanks for doing this. Haven't seen it since I was 5 .

  • Gosh! I miss that. No wonder the children today are so dumb - there's more education in 5 minutes of Noggin than most of them get in a whole school term.

  • I havn't seen this since I was a kid.

  • Absolutely fantastic. Brings back wonderful memories of my childhood. Also Twizzle, Sarah and Hoppity, Space Patrol, Fireball XL5. Such simple naive times, I miss them. I loved Oliver Postgate's atmospheric narration - unmistakeable voice.

  • Dear god! Lol!

Can you imagine a children's programme starting with music like that now?

Brilliant, how much richer childhoods were then.

  • magical...only good memories of my childhood along was this, captain pugwash & ivor the engine...

  • ooomg i usd to love this wen i was yungr

  • Nogfest. Brilliant.

I know Peter Firmin's...grandson...i think. Alan.

  • Oh man. What a wonderful voice. Rip, Oliver.

I grew up watching these programmes. Sublime. Thanks for posting.

  • This was one of the best programmes ever.

Also there is an image of a cartoon in my head but i cant remember, it was a kids show, about a cave man but all you could ever see of him was his nose, i cant remember the name! anybody remember?

He he postgates version of age of mythology!

    R.I.P Oliver Postagte

  • @mixmunkidan I remember the same cartoon and have the same problem. I hope you found out the name with better luck than I've had. x]

  • @mixmunkidan Hairy Jeremy

    He was awesome!!!

  • @mixmunkidan I believe the one you're thinking about is Once Upon A Time Earth or Man - by a French company. They also done Life & Space.

    Or Captain Caveman??? lol

  • @mixmunkidan Stig Of The Dump?

  • @mixmunkidan did you find out the cartoon you were thinking of

  • so many wonderful childhood memories are of Oliver Postgate programs. One of the pioneers of animation. very much missed. RIP OP.

  • yes! this is it! ive been tryin to remember this for years. this episode was on my favorite video as a child along with bagpuss, clangers and ivor the engine.

  • That voice was so much part of my childhood. And I'm sure this was got me interested in animation.

  • I can well remember watching Nogging the Nog as a very small child. It was a late Sunday afternoon, with a real fire in our living room and the cold outside. We had crumpets for tea then we watched Noggin - I sat open mouthed and utterly enthralled. RIP Olivier Postgate - genius. What a sad world we live in that so many other children grew up watching teenage bllody ninja turtles and other such utter crap.

  • Me Too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

  • I agree with you Suehat RIP Oliver :o(

  • A piece of my childhood died today...

    RIP Oliver

  • A wonderful man who left us a beautiful, humanist, socialist cultural legacy.
