  • I have a whole bunch of their shows on casset that my aunt recorded before I was born. I'm fourteen now and I still love them to death!

  • It reminds me of saturday morning cartoons. Also a time where "Talent", meant just that...no hype and where you didn't

here about some stupid shit kid killing his classmates.

  • These guys put on such a great show. Those who've attended one (or many) know this of course, those who haven't still have that pleasure ahead of them...but 'get to it', they've been at it for over thirty years now. A genuine national western music treasure.

  • I watched them in the 80's when they hosted afternoon cowboy movie on TNN. I think it was everyday. Sang and did skits. Great stuff to grow up to.

  • Brings back good memories. We enjoyed Riders in the Sky between '98 and 2000 when our daughter worked in the office at Tweetsie. Does anyone have video during that time when Tracy Brown was the Marshal?

  • If anyone has the wherewhithall, please post more Riders clips. These guys are so great---funny, fine musicians! Only got to see the once live & will never forget it. (Guys, come back to Roseburg OR sometime soon.)

  • hey, why is the pic for this vid with james, doug's son, and not with the more talented and cooler jacob, woody's son?

  • I've known the Riders since 1978 when Ranger Doug wrote the whole lyrics to End of the Rainbow trail on their first album (vinyl) jacket cover for me. I still have it! They don't forget the little people. Classic cowboys with classic wit and classic harmony

  • I remember seeing these guys in person at Salina, Kansas' Smoky Hill River Festival clear back in the 1980s. Man, oh, man, I'm glad you posted this video. Thanks!

  • They sound sooooo sweet. I hope to see them in Louisville again.

  • riders in the sky are one of the best bands around today

  • I would encourage anyone who likes western folklore and western music, and the excellent music of Riders In The Sky to get Ranger Doug's new book, "The Singing Cowboys". Doug is not only a performer but a historian and expert of western music.

  • Got any more Ranger Doug, Woody Paul and Too Slim? Great stuff! YODALIN for RITS!
