Your hoop glows sometimes in the light, a glowing halo dancing around you. Beautiful as always. You've got such a great space and control and fluidity to your movement :)
@dirtierainb0w HOping I can drop by for some of the blocks. I won't be able to sign up for the entire package though. It's only a short drive from my house too!
@lavinder5 Awesome! I hope to get to see you hoop in person, I'm going this year and can't wait to learn and be among such amazing hoopers as yourself!!! ^.^
so sick. we just finished baxters workshop and i love seeing how you have put your own personality and twist on the moves he teaches - youre a badass!
@flowingspiral Thanks so much. As I get older, I worry that I'll loose my 'edge' but I think my dancing will one day look more like Tai Chi, slow and quiet, and I think maybe that's okay
@NinjaHoops The forearm move at .51 is a Paddle. It's basically a gentle pushing of the hoop from the inside. This is a technique I think you'll see lots of hoopdancers do. The terminology and "formalization" of this technique I would credit to Jonathan Baxter of the HoopPath, who is my teacher. It's one of my favorite ways of 'feeling' and interacting with the hoop.
This looks like it could be about 9 am. i love 8-9am practice. I feel like i get all the bad juju for the day out. Always you look absolutely lovely. I hope to hoooooop with you one day. :o)
@tweezer05 Alison, good eye there for the time of morning. I'm really starting to appreciate these morning practices. You are EXACTLY right about clearing out the bad juju for the day. I would LOVE to hoop with you someday.
oh my god you are my inspiration.
