  • only ignorance, violence and misery becomes those who believe in a deity. Utterly amazing humans still believe in faeries and deities.

  • It wasnt completely accurate, its suppose to be an action film not a documentry, but it was just too badass to watch. haha

  • deam, rudy is soooo *ucking sexy in this movie!

  • just the culture not the race.

  • haringbuang rulez

  • SACRIFICE AMONGST THE MAYAS DID NOT EXIST!

their stories recollect no slavery no human sacrifice on the temples. The original Popul Vuh [the Mayan bible] does not recollect any evidence of such! They were not savages then and are not savages now. yeah there were tribal wars but no human sacrifice, please dont allow yourself to be brainwashed by this trash.. HISTORY IS ALWAYS TOLD BY THE HUNTER & NOT THE HUNTED.

NOTHING BUT LIES DE'LANDA BROUGHT AND MOVIES LIKE APOCALYPTO MAKE YOU BELIEVE!

  • Simply going to google and typing "maya sacrifice" brings over 1 million websites, many of them credible, which state that the Maya did sacrifice people, even children, as evidence shows, but they did not do it on a large scale like the Aztecs.

  • "sexiwebcamboy" Yea that sounds like someone old and educated we can trust.

  • @sexiwebcamboy you're wrong, sacrifice was widespread among the Mayans during the later years of the post classic era. Murals at Bonampk depict priests wrenching lint knives into the hearts of victims (Men, women and children, slaves and enemy captives) and their entrails ripped out. They were a very bloodthirsty and savage people. The movie has it spot on! I know you leftists don't like reality but I'm sorry, this is how it was. The Aztecs and Mayans were almost identical in violence.

  • @sexiwebcamboy Apocalypto was anaylised by a very senior and well renowned Mayan archaeologist, Richard D. Hansen. His profound studies in Guatemala and assistant professor at the University of Idaho, Mirador Basin Project in Guatemala (a forest reserve home to a number of Maya archaeological sites) overlooked the authenticity of the film. This proves that the scenes in the movie were indeed very real to the actual lifestyle of the Maya culture. I will inbox you for further proof.

  • i thought it was an amazing movie! mel gibson is amazing!

  • @iceandfire212 Do you still think he is amazing?

  • @Zirus101

    Yep, yep!

  • @iceandfire212 hehe, me too

  • and the greatest part is that among all this violent hell, little acts of affection, the father dying on his knees, the children from different tribes coming together after their parents are gone. the mother giving birth to her child in desperate conditions, the man jumping in front of the arrow in order to save his friend. all these delicate elements appear in the most distinctive and beautyful light.

    the man is a genius!

    Bless you Mel Gibson!

  • still this movie is very different! blood and violence at the extreme! Gibson presents violence in its most brute form, making us understand how dreadful that is, and how much he disapproves it!

  • yes! great indeed! i usualy hate bloody and violent movies. most of them tend to present the act of killing in a rather enjoyable manner! i mean justice men that revenge the death of a friend, etc. by killing other 20-30 people! (e.g. Desperado, etc). still we like them because they are the good guys. or we say "that's not violence, that's (martial)art!

  • excuse me, but don't you have anything better to do than copy paste the same message just everywhere is an apocalypto vid? how orriginal! hm!

  • Looks a cracker jacker

  • good looking bunch.
