how do you do the really high note (i play the clarinet so ill know what u r saying) :)

@blondybrunetxoxox3 Haha, well assuming you know the fingering, you're gonna wanna use lots of air (supported from diaphragm) and "voice" the note, done by raising the middle of the tongue to focus your airstream, and lowering the back and lifting the soft palate. Should feel as if your opening your throat to yawn. You shouldn't be changing your embouchure, and don't bite, as that pinches the sound. In the end, it will come with practice. Now if you wanna do the bend down, that's a bit harder :P

@wonderlandnise You think so? I find that slower songs can often be harder to play cause they require much better breath control. Well at least in this one there's plenty of time to breathe =)

i love the pitch bends and altissimo notes. you're really good! a lot of these songs are fast and exciting too

@DTrinh09 Thanks man! Those parts were pretty difficult to get right haha, ESPECIALLY the bend down from the high G. When it comes to pop song covers I generally prefer these kinda fast numbers. Not necessarily because they sound better, but due to the fact that slower pieces and ballads kill my chops in minutes and I start to bite :P

@linnaes i really need to get back to regular practicing. watching your videos reminds me how into clarinet I was back in high school. but now, my chops are nonexistent and i have terrible tonguing technique.. and my clarinet is in the shop lol. are you using your E11 or R13 in your videos?

@DTrinh09 Haha I wish you luck with that, although if you do start practicing seriously it shouldn't take long to rebuild your technique/embouchure.

Except for the video I just put up today, I'm using my E11. I only just got the R13 last weekend. But I do plan on using the new horn for future videos...unless it's away being overhauled, which I plan to do soon.
