'et ses mâts de cocagne' should be translated as 'its maypoles' .. even if it's a bit different.. You lose the connotation of the land of plenty, but your retain the notion of the country fair and more importantly that in this 'plat pays', even a thirty feet pole is higher than just about anything else.

The subtitles for this clip work really well in two colors. It's easy for the eye to focus on just the French or English. Nice sharp video and sublime Brel.
