politics in the USA has become a business. No longer are politicians, citizens who which to serve, but people the have found a way to wealth. If you remove the money from politics you will remove the motivating factors of these money seeking people. I for one worked for the U. of Florida doing research, anything research i did while working for them was theirs. I also worked for a environmental company which i had to sign a non-compete clause. A later paragraph clearly indicates that fascists oppose socialism and capitalism as a matter of their own "third position." Though the article claims that Nazi's are not fascists the resemblances are uncanny. Both are based on nationalism, supremacy of the state, and military authoritarian ideals.

It's funny that you said that, because wiki clearly points out fascism is neither left nor right. It's in its own category altogether. It rejected both socialism and communism, yet supported nationalization. People think hitler was right-wing but he wasn't. He was a centrist.
@JRooster101 yes I agree, it was not right or left. it rejected communism because it wanted italian socialism not international. mussolini also began to disagree that it was just abt class struggle, he felt it was more abt the different political groups who controlled production. fascism was just one form of national socialism, which takes on different identities in every place it goes. the corporatist model allows for more efficient control by not dismantling companies completely.

Despite suicide bombings, sniper attacks, and car bombs, the Iraqis put their lives on the line to vote whenever possible and they owe it to the U.S. toppling Saddam's dictatorship. A later paragraph clearly indicates that fascists oppose socialism and capitalism as a matter of their own "third position." @lazerbeam134 I don't think anyone should be able to lump a person under a word that instantly makes all their opinions meaningless. But I hate authoritarian politics, and to me, associating socialism with fascism is itself propaganda. They want to frighten people away from ideas. They actually use words like socialism and communism in the same way. They paint an authoritarian picture, but what they present, is not so different. To me, there is an obvious authoritarian element to the GOP/REPS.

@lazerbeam134 all human activity is anarchy, dictators take what they want & ppl accept out of fear. this isnt pretty but it is anarchy. words and political scales are useless, as far as im concerned there are almost 7billion different political ideologies. authoritarianism is only bad when those in charge are corrupted by money, race, or religion, it doesnt have to be this way: wiki- dictatorship of the proletariat or the republic by plato, the philosophical foundation of fascism.

@thewaterwillcome the reason authoritarians have usually been bad is that they are somehow controlled by the elite or a madman ether way the needs & wants of the ppl are ignored & wealth is unevenly distributed. this is why authoritarians have to be so brutal & oppressive, they constantly fear their own ppl.a gov who is providing resources, education, and security while allowing for the possibility of betterment thru hard work has absolutely no need to fear or restrict the freedom of its ppl.

I really wish this war was over oil so that way we wouldn't have to pay so much for gas. But sadly the reality is that its not over oil, it was about removing Saddam Hussein because of his ambition to create a nuclear weapons

How could Saddam have been a puppet of the US when he was formally propped up and supported by the soviet union in the cold war? Why is it documented and well know fact that Iraqi intelligence were meeting with Al-qaeda in South America? Why is it a well known fact that since 1998, Saddam has been kicking out UNSOC inspectors in suspected nuclear weapons factories?

The United states funded MILLIONS to al-qaeda during the 1980s when the Mujaheddin were fighting against the Soviet Union. The United States was perfectly justified in supporting the mujaheddin since we were both fighting against the same enemy, just as Germany became an alley of the united states after WWII against the soviet union, so did the Mujaheddin with the united states before 911

On October 11th 2002, the senate approves 77-23 and the house approves 296-123 for a resolution that gives Bush the authorization to use military force against the country of Iraq. The resolution arrives on Bush's desk and he signs it into action, thus giveing him the permission to go to war. Look it up if you don't believe me.

The Iraqi people want us there and it's our responsibility to finish the job we've started and make sure the Iraqi Republic is secure and able to stand on it's own once we leave. @nightserker I'm a college freshman at TCC, thank you. Here in the States, it's unlikely for people to ever go out and vote on election season. Despite suicide bombings, sniper attacks, and car bombs, the Iraqis put their lives on the line to vote whenever possible and they owe it to the U.S. toppling Saddam's dictatorship. Under Saddam, there was no such thing as freedom of speech or the right to vote, etc. Now there is.
