And according to a recent news article: 12 Jun 2011 – Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan are six times more likely than US soldiers in Iraq to die in combat.
Food is not "all" we talk about. I'm sure the American military can't fight either on an empty stomach, no? :)
From the look of the food, it all looks very fresh which I am happy to see! I can see the standards for army food has gone up drastically over the years. Troops used to hate army food and I used to feel sorry for the cooks because they were given nothing good work with, and everyone blamed them. I am very happy to see that has all changed!
I just joined the Canadian Forces, and I am going to be in the Chef program. I've worked in lots of kitchens and I know it is stressful tough work, and the army looks like it takes it to the next level. I can't wait!!! Bring it on!! I know lots of good recipes and I am going to cook up some real treats! God Bless!
