This has been happening with fire fighting departments in the southern states since before the 70's. I know because I've seen it. The firefighters will just drive out and watch someone's house burn down unless you pay their monthly blackmail fee's. This isn't new. But, it is the first time I've ever seen it reported.

Worked as a medic for 17 years(that's a selfless job kinda like asking for an ass kicking) What I discovered is the only people who change for the better is those who want to. My dad's been a firefighter for 30+ years, and he's told me multiple times of instances where he didn't send his men into a burning structure because the "value" of saving the building wasn't worth the risk of putting people in danger. Worked as a medic for 17 years(that's a selfless job kinda like asking for an ass kicking) What I discovered is the only people who change for the better is those who want to. It didn't appear to me that this person was in a wheelchair and could have got a job to pay for it. Guess they were not concerned with the risks.that bad were they?

To the credit of the firemen, unless there is a life safety issue, then no fire chief will risk the lives of his men to save material goods that can be replaced. There's nothing criminal about this. I'm a HUGE fan of infowars, but this one may have been overblown. I've never heard of the subscription fee thing; that may or may not be legit, but I wouldn't advise anyone to attack the character of a fireman who chose not to risk his life to save material things. He may have a family to provide for

My dad's been a firefighter for 30+ years, and he's told me multiple times of instances where he didn't send his men into a burning structure because the "value" of saving the building wasn't worth the risk of putting people in danger. As far as the payment stuff goes, maintaining fire stations, buying equipment, etc. obviously costs money. I just don't know what the situation exactly was.

The whole point of libertarianism is to completely remove unnecessary spending, Such as government spending on education is about 12 times more than it was in 1999. Yet graduation rates stay remarkably stagnant at 74%.
