@WytZox1 Because you could never see this species ever again, except if its bones are put in museums in the future. The Black Rhinoceros is endangered, in fact, almost every living species of Rhino is endangered. The White Rhinoceros is the only living Rhino species that is not endangered, most other rhinos are already extinct. People have favorite animals, they wouldn't want to see them go extinct.
@Rosbisset correct me if i'm wrong but as far as I know On November 10, 2011, the black rhino was declared extinct by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
Hienoa pojat.
This is incredible. The black Rhino is one of the most precious animals I've always favoured. I am proud to be a South African with the awesome wildlife we have, and its deeply saddening to know that this beautiful animal will soon be no more.
I hope and pray that we can save the black rhino. Well done guys.
Possibly, but Merriam-Webster states: "no longer existing"...it doesn't say in the wild habitat; plus, they are in awild habitat- just not the original one. Oh, and other guy- keep your hands off my Yoda.
Western Black Rhino - ...Extinct... Shame on humanity. Shame on African tribes who hunt them for the rituals... I'm starting to hate being human, because the HUMANS in the government causes corruption and secretly murders the people who knows some of their political secrets. HUMANS watches other animals get tortures... cutting the animals throats wide open while the animals is still conscious and suffering. Shame on humanity. Someday WE, HUMANS, will realize WE can't live without this animal
The quality of filming here is phenomenal! Kudos to cinematographer Warren James Smart and the rest of the Green Renaissance team for outstanding work!
@jedijaa5682 It's illegal because there are only 3,000-4,000 black rhinos left in the entire world. If people continued to shoot them, they would become entirely extinct.
@grayhawk16 Not really - a species can be declared extinct when there are no wild populations left (as with the rhinos), but there are still individual animals left alive.
Can I suggest adding the URLs displayed at the end of the video as clickable annotations so that it's easy to click through and learn more? You'll get many more visitors that way, since most people won't bother copy/pasting the URL from the description. Search the YouTube help center for 'annotations' if you need instructions.
@FGVmusic1701 They are in danger where they are, poachers are killing more and more every few weeks. Plus the Black Rhino is an endangered species, so they are protecting them so that they can boost their numbers again. Listen to what the guy is saying...
I thought they were going to swing it a people like a wrecking ball
that would be scary though

Why is it legal to "trophy hunt" both white AND black rhinos in South Africa??? Isn't it time to change this absurd law? HOW COME HOW LONG?

@dratoxify "Entirely" extinct would be an oxymoron, respectfully. As the Jedi Master said, there is no try.
