  • Great band but their new album left me a little disappointed - just not my thing.

  • check out a great up and coming music composer on myspace Unna Foss kid is truly gifted a bit mysterious but great nonetheless

  • freaking great !

    also great colors.

  • rubbish

  • Can't wait for the new album - this band should be huge.

  • Very nice video! Not digging the song too much, though.

  • I just heard mother's little helper and some weird sin. Yeah the riff and drums are extremely similar, but they sound like they were made for these lyrics an vocals, which is more than can be said for those other two. Hate me if you want.

  • it's pretty good, but it needs more cowbell.

  • Que porquería....

  • She sings like a drunk crap

  • Fuck you.

  • pretty dope.

  • this song is very good for a prelude.

  • Bom pra caralho !!! muito loko !!

  • brilliant :) xxx

  • Love the Cup EP and The Repulsion Box are much, much better than this album.

  • another criminally under-rated band

  • apart from the tempo, vocals type, lyrics, song composite, yeah... and I think that both bands use instruments....

  • them's catchy and nice melody but am i alone in finding the guitar, on this and gilt complex, cold and clinical?

    still good overall, mind.

  • i love the color pink ^^

  • good for you!

  • lol

  • lol

  • her voice is nice.ydk about music

  • I saw the vid for "gilt complex" on NY Noise, and now I am obsessed, OBSESSED, with Sons and Daughters!

  • I flew all the way from the UK to see you guys play at the Toronto V Fest in Candada!

Thanks for playing a blinder of a gig!!

  • This song is fucking addictive, can't get it outta my mind, dammit! :D

  • they'll be playing at pukkelpop :D im goin there :D so im looking up all the bands :D

and uhm its in belgium in the town hasselt :D

    yay yay

  • danke

  • just found this band today. anyone know if they are playing at any festivals this year

  • They're playing the Virgin Festival in Toronto in September.

  • Theyr playing Belladrum Tartan Heart next week, cant wait xD

  • omg neither can I! i was so happy when they were announced :D

  • this is the best thing since the ronettes or the shangri las.listen to the production of this song.this band has awesome talent and it took a MR BUTLER to make them super.adele ur a sexy mama.i love your moves.

  • The best thing since the Ronettes or Shangri-las? Huh? Those were girl groups from the sixties (great groups of course). How do they compare to a hard rocking band from Scotland in 2008? They're closer compared to X than the Ronettes. Perhaps you were just commenting on Adele's fashion sense...which is great!

  • X?? not really. they r just punchier thanks to bernard butler's production techiques which left them annoyed and in tears.haha.but yeah be it fashion or musical references, they r a great tight group.soctland produces the best bands nowadays.

  • This band is so rad!

  • I found about this band today...and heard that they are coming to my town, what I hear for now is great, hope they prove it live.

  • she stole my moves! blatent plagarism!

  • i think the whole plagarism thing should be avoided unless you wanna spend your time dissecting all current music. and who cares if she can dance? she's got more style in her little finger than most. point is, the world's a better place with this band in it. so there

  • dunno why but i really like this song, fuck it

  • man she can NOT dance. i like this band. but something about her dancing. and her face. annoys me.

  • is that Adele? :O

  • This song really makes me angry. I'ts blatant Plagarism, And is any thanks given to the Rolling Stone's whose music this is a cheap immitation of? I doubt it.

I'm not even a Rolling Stones Fan, But this is riddiculous. Any money made from this ripoff should of gone straight to the original artists. That way perhaps musicians would start to write they're own f***ing music!

  • the stones are plagarists they stole alot of there stuff from the blues.

  • any takers

  • anybody?????????????????

  • Sometimes it's a matter of paying respect to an artist(s) by covering a song by them and not just a lack of creativity. There have been loads of artists doing that from the very beginning. While I don't believe any "cover bands" should ever be successful, doing one or two covers is OK by me.

  • WoW i luV __**

  • i can think a lot of songs just like this

  • But...IODINE still the best track of album.

  • ahah. i love this song <3

  • omg this is on the current cd where i work

    at first i loved it...

now it just goes through my head

which is a pity cause it's not a bad song =[

  • rofl yeah, having a song play over and over at work makes you slowly hate it, harsh

  • great song, just short of a great album, horrible horrible video. By the way, does anyone else think the production of the new record is a bit flat and predictable? Mother's Little Helper anyone?

  • i like her coat with the black belt and the pink tights from the other girl ;)

  • it kind of sounds like alphabeat :D and that is good XP

  • me likes the video

  • me likes the video

  • saw these last week supporting Editors at the Manchester Apollo, they were brilliant

i was right at the front and got a crackin view of adele, shes fit!!!

this is a top tune, one of my favourites of 2008 so far

  • Nce song... GO SONS AND DAUGHTERS!

  • cooooooooooooooooool!

  • nice song

  • this lot are proper decent only started listening to them recently, but there one of my favourite bands now!

  • what happened to them? ever since they signed to their new label they sound different. i like their old songs much better

  • living's so dangerous

    try to conduct yourself

    remember what your mother said

try and use your heart, not head

  • amazing live, and amazing on record.

    love it.

    x

  • who cares if it sounds like the stones or iggy pop, its a good riff that we wouldnt hear again if bands like this didnt "borrow" them so to speak. Buzz from the melvins I think once said theres only around 25 original guitar riffs in the world and every 1 of them has been used before. Example -

    Tom scholz - louie louie

Boston - more than a feeling

Nirvana - smells like teen spirit

are all practically the same riff. Nickelback did it, Red hot chilli peppers did it, and now these guys

  • Saw them in Glasgow recently. Absolutely amazing live.. the recordings don't do Adele's voice justice, she is great live, very good performer!! Check them out if you can. They are much more vibrant live.

  • the riff is the same with some weird sin but i still like this song :p

  • it also sounds a LOT like 'some weird sin' by iggy pop!

  • not in my tastes but major choon

  • Look I don't know anything about this band but this song is basically Mothers Little helper by the Rolling stones, I mean the guitar hook is just slightly different it's got very modern production and the bpm is up about 7-10 But it is 100 percent the same idea, the stones should be able to sue! still well produced and they sound good :)

  • Bpm is 7 - 10

    Your a fucking spak

  • IS up by 7-10( i.e has been increased by that much), not is 7-10 you rude illiterate child, and yes lots of people rip stuff off that still doesn't make it OK, the point of art is to create something new, I mean this is hard given that so much great stuff has been made already but are we saying there's nothing new left to do ? :) And yeah Callummunkycult This is a cool tune in either of it's incarnations ;)

  • because the stones never ripped off anybody else's music?

willie dixon and muddy waters beg to differ.

  • after ready your comment i downloaded Mother Little Helper, and agree with you fully. both ace tunes though.

  • Amazing song - unimpressive and flat-energy video. It doesn't do the song justice.

  • shit video...sorru sons and daughters...really shite vid

  • One could call the vid unspectacular, maybe shiftless and maybe even boring, but it's definetly not shit and also not shite at all.

And BTW, I don't know anyone who doesn't like this band!

  • He didn't say he didn't like them >.>

Gotta admit, the lead singer can't dance.. lol, look at here go!

  • I think the video's supposed to be about wags in England and is based on a film starring Julie Christie also called Darling so no wonder it's so hard to know what's going on.Also I completely disagree that Adele's a bad dancer!I love the bits of her dancing at 2:34 and 2:45

  • gr8 song wish utube had a repeat option

  • I agree with the repeat, youtube should also make it so that you can just play all on your playlist.

  • Amazing. Thx for playing in berlin. One of the best concerts ever.

  • Sons & Daughters have a preview of their album on their myspace

I keep on repeating it I wish they would release it right now. but alas no, we have to wait 2/3 more days.

  • This track is the nuts is must be said.

  • I love this band and I love this song :D

  • this song is cool, there are no other words XD

    <333

  • ok so i've looked for the lyrics to this on the internet and can't easily find them...and i'm not bothered to look hard...but in the chorus...the line after "paying for your past crime"...i can work it out to be either "she'll make a dalek cry!" or "she'll make some garlic bread"...i'm sure neither of these are right and people look at me strange when i sing those lines at work...what is the real line?

  • I so wish it was the garlic bread lyric :D

My guess is 'Shell make a dol-ly cry' but I suspect were both wrong.

Misheard lyrics are always fun tho

  • Hm actually, itd make more sense if it was Darling not Dollie :|

  • "she'll make a darling cry" Thats the bit I song loudest :D

  • I think it's actually "she'll make a darling bride"

  • I love the riff.

  • This song grew on me a LOT. At first, I found their new songs sounded a bit too poppy or produced or something, but now they sound fantastic.

  • shocking blue

  • This is what adele said about darling:

"I saw the 60s film Darling, in which Julie Christie stars as an It girl of her time, and that inspired a connection with today's footballers' wives"

A IT girl who has fallen

  • she had a fur coat and thats the "past crime" the fox was following her around and she felt guilty. at the end she has no coat therefore cleansing the riches and every ones happy. its an anti fur song. DUHH!

  • or i could be absolutely wrong

  • Xxxxxxxx Love Xxxxxxx <3<3<3

  • Xxxxxxxx Love Xxxxxxxxx <3<3<3<3

  • If someone was walking down the street behind me singing and taunting me i reckon i would just shmack them one
