cal runs a 3 4 defense, so pretty much 3 linebackers...still had 2 corners and 2 safeties, tight end should have been covered better.

It's too bad Tedford does not grade his assistant coaches on production (i.e., recruiting, player development, & unit production). Eight years as head coach @ Cal & Tedford weights comfort level and loyalty over improvement & results. There are a lot of admirable qualities about Tedford but some of his STUBBORN deficiencies like keeping average (Gregory) to sub standard & inept staff (Alamar) have hurt the program's development.
