Just beat them with 6 hearts and 6 energy. I couldnt find the heart upgrades so i figured I'd just roll with it.... well... rolling with it is very hard... :D
What saved me was to get myself to 2 hp, shoot and kill 8 or so lasers so they all drop hearts, and then pick up the powerups. Beat the game with 4 left. Didnt use the energy to explode myself, which seems to be a far better way of doing it. I used 4 beams to kill off the bosses in the final phase.
I had 12 hearts and 7 energy, I did it on my 10th go I think
i didnt hav the sword of the gods but i dont think is necessary, and findiing the last 3 marks was a real pain but what i didnt know was that energy shield move on phase 3!! I had never really used it before so ddint know what it did!! so I saved all my yellow energy and shot the strings using my laser beam......I think the bit after that was easy..but man I could have made it alot easier for myself if I knew that shield move!!
it took me 3 friggin days to finally beat this boss...and man it was so rewarding...reminds me of the days of snes trying to be an impossible boss for a whole week and finally winning...epic 0_0
Hardest boss ever. Finally beat them after around 20 tries. Basically make sure you have at least 8 hearts and 4 magic. Don't lose ANY hearts until you reach the 4th phase of the fight. Then you just have to be quick, destroy all the pods as fast as you can, even if you get hit just carry on going. Save your magic for the last bit. This is easy - 4 energy blasts into the sisters and you've won. Hope this helps. This is exactly how I beat them.
Hei Visola21 I only have 6 hearts.. I cant find the remaining 5 :(( I defeated the serpent with 6 hearts but I doubt ill finish the last after I watched your video:P Any advice?
I completed this whole game with 3 hearts and one energy bar, i didnt get any of the upgrades. Why? because it would of been too easy. It's a lot more fun to try and do this boss fight with a little bit of pressure, really improves your skill level.
it's not the hardest boss in the game!! that would be the winged serpents with its confusing bombs. for the sisters you just need to take your time and don't lose concentration!
@Machinehead645 That dragon was hard for me until I realized that the exploding balls always land in the same place each turn. You can practically stand there and farm them for hearts if you need to.
Damn, I have collected everything (all marks of the gods anmoney vases) and I only have 11 hearts in total. Any idea to where the one I have missed may be? Is there one that is easily missable? Thanks!
Another tip: If on the second phase. Use the two jump "pads" (the things you jump into that launch you up into the air) on the bottom sides of the arena to catapult towards each head as it passes and then cut them down. This tactic takes longer yes but it means you will lose less health if none at all in the process because if you have the jump pad (they do follow you after all) at the right spot you can avoid the Sisters attacks as well. The same goes with third phase.
yes!!! on my first try!! name of the game is patience. took me 10 minutes at least. if there was some sort of countdown clock, i would have quit. looking back mother eyes and winged serpent was worse. just co-op cheeve left!!
I'm really disturbed by how many people found this game hard... I beat the Sisters on my second try, and was disappointed by their difficulty. :/ No wonder people hate great, difficult games like Ikaruga and (completely unrelated) God Hand.
@Shinkada Maby the game is not as hard as Dishwasher or Devil May Cry , but it really is one of the nicer games i've played and while it's not hard its not that easy as well if u allready beaten the game try it again and this time don't upgrade ur characters with extra HP or Magic and iam sure that you will get a pretty hard game .
Ps: The battle with the sissters was so awsome for me i wanted it too last an "Eternity" :}
@KainFayiar People talk about this game like it's incredibly difficult, even compare it to Ikaruga on that level, which is misleading. Its supposed difficulty is one of the reasons I bought it, so for the sake of not making people waste money, maybe try not to confuse how "nice" the game is with whether it's tough or not.
@Shinkada Now i see u did not understand me i just posted an opinion based on ur answer , i like hard games and while this was easy it was awsome , ur the one who gives people second thoughts about buing this game with ur talk on how easy the game is and how u ware dissepointed with the difficulty level
@KainFayiar If someone is thinking about buying it because of the difficulty, I hope I DO give them second thoughts. Comparing this game to Ikaruga in terms of difficulty is like comparing Mario to Crysis on graphics. Also note that I never once called this game easy, I simply said it wasn't difficulty either.
@Shinkada First u cant compare Mario too Crysis , U can compare Crysis to Resistance or Call of Duty , Compare platformers too platformers and shooters too shooters . Some People simply like too have fun or and adventure not squeeze the life out of the game pad too beat a game . Well it's good we agree thats its not that easy and not as hard at the same time. I'd still recomend this game too anyone it borrows a fiev ideas from other games but its Unique , fun and flashy with cool music .
@KainFayiar You're missing the point. I don't really care whether you or anyone else likes the game or not, I'm just trying to clear up people mis-advertising its difficulty level.
Ha, I just beat this without the sward of the gods, thanks to smite energy. Thanks for the tip on when to use it! I have to say as hard as it was, it was never frustrating in a cheap way like so many games are. I spent 9 hours of dieing on the sisters XD.
You did this fight with a dislocated wrist? Man, I must just suck, then. I kept dying for over an hour. Granted, I was playing like an idiot for much of that time...
I like how you used the Energy Shield. You saved a lot of time like that. I took my time to destroy each crystal individually. When I got irritated at how long it was taking me to hit a farther one, I sometimes shot them with the beam.
Outside of the first phase, I used the beam to hit the boss after destroying the crystals.
Is this game a decently long game? Because I'm thinking about getting it, I mean I liked the demo and this seems kind of like limbo and I liked limbo, but this looks even more fun. I just can't decide.
It actually took me somewhere over 14 hours to get to the sisters. And I never got lost, just died a lot. The sisters make every boss before seem easy.
Fucking Christ. You have max health, max damage, and max magic and you defeated them with 1 health left. My current checkpoint (right before the fight) I have 8 hearts 5 magic (all empty) and the regular weapon. I'm not sure I want to go back and find all the stuff. I enjoyed the game up until this part, but I'm not sure I have it in me to grind this boss.
@MuseManMike Haha, I made some stupid mistakes in the video. When the Sisters throw up the constant orb shield I didn't switch forms and got hit twice, I jumped off to hit the Launch Pad but ended up tapping A too soon. :P I play with a dislocated wrist so things are harder for me but they can be beaten without all the upgrades. Just be sure to go in with full Energy Bars and you'll be fine; Energy Shield is meant for this fight. : )
@MuseManMike It's easy to figure out all of the patterns and the best places to stand so you won't get hit for the first two waves, but it does get intense, so I personally also beat them with one health as well, though with less stuff. You'll die on them a few times sure, and maybe even get annoyed, but in the end, you'll beat 'em. My hands started to sweat every time I got close to beating her, but overall it's not too hard. Plus, you get health from them as well.
Yeah, I know, it's very vague. Never mind - I just found the 11th heart.
What I can't find is the Mark of the Gods in the *Sky - Dark Fortress* area and I don't know how to enter the hidden rooms containing Money Vases in *City - The Maze* and *City - Forgotten Quarter*. The vases appear on my maps but it appears to be impossible to enter these rooms.
Please reply if you remember how you did it. Cheers
@CellOmega City - The Forgotten Quarters, port to that area and go right. There will be a Jump Pad. Jump off the wall to reach the pad to launch yourself up and there you'll fight a few enemies and reach those money jars. As for the mark of the gods, I only remember one location. At the beginning there are sets of colored beams shooting with three launch pads that you have to cross. When you reach the second pad go up instead of right and you'll be launched in a hidden chamber with a mark.
Anyone know of any guides that show all upgrade locations? Can't seem to find any online.

Thankfully there's a teleportation thing unlike the previous bosses, so if you're not ready you can go back and try to find some more upgrades.

Visola, you made it too easy for yourself.
I only had 9 hearts and not that sword, and it was a lot more satisfying
when i beat them, having only 1 heart remaining, and was quite a rush.

This was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I still thought the Winged Serpent was the hardest though.

@CellOmega Hm, that's quite vague. Teleporting around and seeing which areas have hearts.
Jungle:
Above the Canopy - 2
Underworld:
The World Beneath - 1
City
The Forgotten Quarter - 1
Sky
The Dark Fortress - 1
Scanned through but it seems the other 4 are in closed off hidden chambers that won't show up on the map.
