Man, I should not have watched this video at 6 a.m. It's so relaxing that it's almost making me sleepy, right as I'm supposed to be ready for work, lol. My 3rd time watching this; on my favorites list. :-)
Why the 'undercrank'... speeding up the presentation? Great tour, but seeing the joggers and walkers doin' the silent movie shuffle was a little strange.
@catboy721 Two things: If you notice my other videos, this is my "style", it works much better on highways and #2) regular speed is boring as hell and would have taken 10-12 minutes to cover the same ground, then what? 2 songs or I double loop this? most people don't have that kind of attention span for something like this.
I just realized that I never did comment on this video. What a beautiful place that must be to take a jog or a leisurely stroll during sunrise or sunset. The look of The Battery reminds me a lot of Coronado (near San Diego), but without the history. You should send this video to the Charleston Chamber of Commerce; I'm sure they'd love to see this one.
Sweet music, beautiful video. I've been lucky to roller blade here - just amazing - love this song - great transitions, very enjoyable and beautiful ride...
Wow!! This is probobly the video I like the most from Jim! BTW, Since I am planning to move there, how are the people? Are they sociable and caring? Are there any open beaches with sand? How often and what kind of outdoor events does this place have?
@Cyrus992 -My wife is from the area so I've been visiting Charleston for 20+ years. The people seem very nice and yes there are plenty of nice beaches north and south of the city.
@Cyrus992 No beaches in the central city, the city is on a harbor, not the ocean but just across the bridge 10-15 minutes north is Sullivan's Island and a little further up is Isle of Palms which are both very nice beaches.
the statement at 3:57....omg you have never lied...this place is gorgeous....i like sullivan's isle area as well

Nice tour of the Battery. I liked the palm trees. Those pavement arrows need to be restriped and be a bit bigger, but yeah...

@VaFreeways You said a mouthful there. Trust me it was not a pretty sight back then. Some areas were without power for over a month!

First view!?
Such a rustic area. The small/odd streets are very intriguing.
