  • the statement at 3:57....omg you have never lied...this place is gorgeous....i like sullivan's isle area as well

  • @miamivicepastels83 Thanks, definitely a special place!

  • oh how i miss this

  • Great Job! Best vid of the Battery I've seen

  • @socarboy Thank you! I appreciate that.

  • Wonderful! Thanks! But, as a cop I must issue you a speeding ticket, lol

  • @mealmasters Yeah that simulates about 60 MPH through there, worthy of a ticket indeed (the key word being simulates). Thanks for watching.

  • Man, I should not have watched this video at 6 a.m. It's so relaxing that it's almost making me sleepy, right as I'm supposed to be ready for work, lol. My 3rd time watching this; on my favorites list. :-)

  • @FreewayBrent LOL, thanks, glad you like it!

  • Why the 'undercrank'... speeding up the presentation? Great tour, but seeing the joggers and walkers doin' the silent movie shuffle was a little strange.

  • @catboy721 Two things: If you notice my other videos, this is my "style", it works much better on highways and #2) regular speed is boring as hell and would have taken 10-12 minutes to cover the same ground, then what? 2 songs or I double loop this? most people don't have that kind of attention span for something like this.

  • @Freewayjim oh well. You cant please everybody. UB

  • @uptownbronze Thanks UB.

  • it must be a wonderful journey, lol! Driving in the states is so awesome

  • I just realized that I never did comment on this video. What a beautiful place that must be to take a jog or a leisurely stroll during sunrise or sunset. The look of The Battery reminds me a lot of Coronado (near San Diego), but without the history. You should send this video to the Charleston Chamber of Commerce; I'm sure they'd love to see this one.

  • thanks for the stroll down the battery it was beautiful and you are such a good tour guide.

  • Sweet music, beautiful video. I've been lucky to roller blade here - just amazing - love this song - great transitions, very enjoyable and beautiful ride...

  • @0marigolds: You've rollerbladed there? very cool! It's just a nice place to "Be".

  • @Freewayjim it was very bumpy, but beautiful to "just be"

  • Hey Freewayjim. Im back on the road again. Headed to the beaches of Connecticut. How does that sound

  • Excellent production ..video shows sometrue history . thumbs up

  • I been there years ago (about the same time they were building the bridge). You have no idea how difficult it was to find a parking space!!

  • Wow!! This is probobly the video I like the most from Jim! BTW, Since I am planning to move there, how are the people? Are they sociable and caring? Are there any open beaches with sand? How often and what kind of outdoor events does this place have?

  • @Cyrus992 -My wife is from the area so I've been visiting Charleston for 20+ years. The people seem very nice and yes there are plenty of nice beaches north and south of the city.

  • @Freewayjim Thanks.. But are there any beaches on the central city?

  • @Cyrus992 No beaches in the central city, the city is on a harbor, not the ocean but just across the bridge 10-15 minutes north is Sullivan's Island and a little further up is Isle of Palms which are both very nice beaches.

  • @Freewayjim Ahh.. dang... Well I gotta get myself soaked because I want to beat the heat that feels like in the 110's!! Thanks..

  • Yeah!! More Charleston!! I am planning to move there!! Please show more!!

  • @quijeros Thank You!

  • Ive been there

  • Great historic area. I really like these kind of towns.

  • Thank you for Charleston vids! I plan to move there with in the next 6-8 months. Nice to get a preview of I will be experiencing! Keep 'em coming :-D

  • @taylornique Sure thing, my wife is from that area and has droppod hints of wanting to move back, I could think of worse places :)

  • LA of the south :)

  • Nice work, Jim. Thanks for the tour of Charleston.

  • You back in SC Again! Cool! maybe you should do a Video going threw downtown columbia from the I-77 Bluff rd exit - I-20 on n.main st

  • @growingup15 I have Three more Charleston area videos to come.

  • Nice tour of the Battery. I liked the palm trees. Those pavement arrows need to be restriped and be a bit bigger, but yeah...

    5*

  • @VaFreeways You said a mouthful there. Trust me it was not a pretty sight back then. Some areas were without power for over a month!

  • First view!?

Such a rustic area. The small/odd streets are very intriguing.
