You guys really don't understand anything at all. This is one of the easier ways to kill a cow, and its been done for hundreds of years. The first stab in the head paralyzes and stuns it while it dies as fast as possible without spoiling the meat we eat. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. Just imagine this video next time you enjoy a hamburger.

@Supersomonerandom I think because the death must not be instant ..the heart must keep pumping all the blood out or else there will be no other easy way to drain the blood out of the dead animal. Thats why even in industrial proffesional killing rooms even after stunning they still slaughter their necks in an automated way .. the basic rule remains the same. The heart must go on pumping... The music is sick by the way !

I've done the same to frogs before dissecting them at university. We call it "pithing". It just quickly scrambles the brain so that the frog wont feel anything. I guess this is what they are trying to do here. This is still better than what we do on the farm with sheep. We tie it up, and then penetrate the throat with a knife and drain the blood into a bucket while the sheep dies slowly.

This is fucked up. i understand they have to kill the cows for food, but they could treat the cows much better than stabbing it in the head and throat to drain it's blood slowly. They should kill it instantly so the cow does not suffer through the pain until death. The cow was in major agony before it died.

@z155804 Well this is typically how its done. You may or may not know this, but if the calve was hit in the right spot of the brain it shouldn't be feeling any pain. If you do research on the stun gun used in more higher techonolgy countrys. It baiscally does the same thing except its not a knife. Plus cows are alwasy bled out no matter what right after stunning.
