....i drive on roads like that regularly for my commute....
I obviously see the point of not being stuck in traffic and ofcourse you save money on fuel and yes you have lovely views.... however this isnt a great argument....
What you should have done is filmed a million people stuck in traffic and shown the time and then perhaps driven to work one day and shown the time... that would explain who was mad...
@alexwarrior1 Actually the road has been closed. I assume it was because of this. It might actually still be closed, but the sign has disappeared at the end I join it. There was a sign further on, but it was in between two roads. Must be open then... ;-)
I cant wait to sell my house and move closer to work so i can cycle to work, im always so envious of all the people who cycling to work when im stuck in my car.... we also have showers at work too :)
Long sleeves! Ya soft Weegie ;-) Seriously though, what a glorious route. Reminds me of some of the views and deserted country roads /tracks when I did Peebles to Kinross two years ago on a beautiful, cloudless day. Makes you feel really glad to be alive.
@goomason Aye the roads around Kinross are amazing. Don't know the roads in the Borders, but I'll be cycling them in August on the ken Laidlaw. You up for it? :-)
The road looks narow, or is it a bikepath. What would worry me about cycling there is some impatient driver trying to squeeze past on such a narrow road.
@KrunchyJD Never had a problem on these roads. You can usually hear something coming, or see it over the hedges. There are often walkers and horse riders around, so cars know to take it easy.
I would cycle more but I dont like getting hot and sweaty before starting work or college... and that means starting by car or bus and i cant cycle back home D:
@magnatom Oh there is one there but its too much muckin around, i work on freight so i have a shower only to get dirty again constantly so not cycling to work is like one less thing to have to deal with
@ATBparkour Tried taking it easy? Cycling at 8ish mph is a nice leisurely pace (depending on conditions) and is still many times faster than walking at ~2.5 mph.
@CCmachine@CCmachine Yeah I mean Im 16 and I work and college, college is 99% uphill and work is 13 miles away cos I moved away from work, plus I start work early at 6am so it'd mean leaving mine at 4.30 or something. But when I do cycle for fun it's a good laugh and excercise
@MrGrumpycyclist I'll bet there is somewhere cool to ride nearby on most peoples commutes (even if urban). :-) You just have to be willing to extend it a little....
@CCmachine I only use the speedo if it is important for the video. It takes a wee bit extra work. Anyway, I don't want you know how slow I was going uphill! :-)

Click to watch some cycling, end up getting something closer to a dodgy phone call, what the hell?!? ;-)
Stunning view. Got a bit of a lick on coming down hill, it would normally be at that point where my brake cable would snap!
