different segments of existing audiences want different things. If you can provide

something unique then your business can become a related service for other businesses that were previously unable to offer your particular service/style. And they can cash in on this segment of their audience by refering them to you.

so your "competitors" are not really competition at all if your service isuniquely different.

@bgarite What's great about this video is that it's still relevant today. The majority of people go online and put up half-done websites regurgitating the same facts and they have trouble standing out. They don't learn how to become effective marketers so they get stuck in a holding pattern. So there's still plenty of room for those who want to work hard and learn how to be effective marketers. So I stand by the content here even in 2011.

If this is how they are teaching their affiliates to promote the program then I want no part of it.  Doesn't make the company look good AT ALL (even if it is legit)

I feel affiliate marketing will never be saturated. I'm from an MLM background and so new to affiliate marketing. Millions of people do join affiliate and mlm programs but never spend any time promoting them. Only 1% of all people that perform mlm make a part time income. No you don't. As long as you provide your SSN and report your earnings under your own SSN during tax time then there is no need for one. I wouldn't worry about getting one until you start making some substantial money. Then you may want to but it's not necessary.

Great video! I know what you say is true from my own experience. You make a lot more money than I do, but I spent about three hours over two years ago on a site which has been paying for itself and my whole hosting package plus a profit since then. I have not done another minutes work on that site and it still makes money today with adsense. Now I am getting into it more seriously and I don't doubt for a second whether I will succeed simply for the reasons you have mentioned!

the thing is that i made everything on dreamweaver with the free trial version and just before i finished everything the trial was expired.

so now there are some files that i cant directly upload to my server unless i use dreamweaver. and like u said wit this economy i cant afford to pay the full version so im stuck.

I have even better news. You don't have to use Dreamweaver to continue uploading your files. You can use any software that has a built-in FTP feature or a standalone FTP program. You have a username/password that you created with your host right? You can use that same combo with any editor or FTP program. Kompozer is free. I don't know if they have a built in upload / FTP feature but you can always upload your files for free with a program like FileZilla. Wish you the best!

Another common misconception is also that those "undersaturated" markets that don't have CB products at above 100 gravity and other ridiculous criteria's are a failure and don't make much money. Look at that guy you lisa talked about in one video who runs that digital photography blog/site and makes 6 figures? Has anyone ever seen a digital photography product on CB with over 100 grav?

You are not required to use their logo on your site anywhere. The reason you see it on some sites is because people earn commissions for telling others about SBI! so people choose to display it on their sites.

I'm still making sales in affiliate marketing each week so nope.. it's not oversaturated. People have to think about it. Most people who get into it don't make a sale because they don't know how to market correctly. They just try to copy other people without actually learning lol... So there's always room for new people to get started. Just have to make sure you learn the current methods that STILL WORK and you'll do fine.

Hey Lis, I know one thing that is working right now as far as afiliate marketing. CPA offers. I am part of bootcamp that is teaching it. I have not made a ton of money from it yet, but I plan too. It converts really well. It's not as hard to get people to give up emails and names. There are already people in my class making 300 to 500 days with FREE traffic. From articles and SEO stuff etc. That's 6 figures! So I want in.

Affiliate marketing is also a gateway for everyone. Don't be fooled by the people that want to discourage you because they earn no money.. That does not mean you can't.. Come on now look at the options one site offers a item for sale.. but they give no relevant information why you should buy it.. Therefore people will have a less chance of buying it. Take advantage be descriptive and encourage people to buy the product you are buying give them reasons why they should..
