  • he is my quarterback for my ult. team in madden 12!!

  • except for the outlaws song this is some of the shittiest music i've ever heard

  • Yea imagine marino in todays game.

  • I have a feeling that the numbers Marino put up won't be as impressive 10 years from now.

  • @jessejubilee I agree. all the rules changes today help the QB and WR to put up monster numbers.

  • Got to give credit to his receivers though...

  • Thanks for showing me all of Dan Marinos 10 yard passes...

  • Drew Brees broke his shit!!!!!!!!!!!

  • MARINO SUCKS NUTZ... HE CANT SCRAMBLE WORTH SH!T... HES LIKE A STATUE... U KNO WAT IM SAYIN.

    BEST QBACK EVER = VICK

    END OF DISCUSSION

  • @ripster8675 did you not see him scramble?? lol buy some glasses

  • Dan Marino: Top 10 Best QBs

  • Brees broke Marino's 5,084 passing yards, throwing to 5,087 yards in 622 attempts. Marino had 5,084 yards in 564 attempts... If he had the same amount of pass attempts, he'd have around 5606 passing yards, something that Drew Brees would not be able to equal this season at all, with the change of rules and everything.

  • @aresnarchs wow like who knows or cares about that? Brees is the new record holder deal with it no one care about the past time

  • He would be like 3rd string today

  • @gramajo43 You are an idiot.

  • @ETMC00 dude players today r bigger stronger nd faster, if alex smith played back then he would be all world even jemarcus russell would be a pro bowl type of qb,I would compare dan marino with jp losmen

  • imagine Marino and Calvin together!

  • I enjoy the QBs of today, no doubt. But Dan had 5,000 yards in an era where you got to beat the heck out of the WRs. He did it in an era where you did not protect the dimpled chins of QBs by calling personal fouls left & right. He did it with very little talent on defense. He knew that cannon on his right arm was the ONLY way they could win. And still for most of his career he was untouchable as a passer.

Can you imagine Dan in todays game? WRs with clean releases who stand 6'4 and over 200lbs.

  • nimodo Dan Marino ya te supero Drew Brees :/ jeje

  • I feel like I'm watching the Karate Kid.

  • It must've been a pleasure as a wide receiver, tight end or running back to play with this guy.

  • Number of pixels in this video : 2

  • Does anybody know what the music at the very beginning is?

  • Tim Tebow is better

  • We all know Dan is one of the greats, and I know there are many others some even better, but I will say this no one ever "looked" as calm as Dan in the pocket, he never even seems to sprint let alone panic, his ability to create space without speed is amazing...

  • All hail 13

  • Voted "Best Film Created By A Potato"!!!

  • i bet hes still a gunslinger

  • eachit pitt

  • aaron rodgers is having a great season but still not as good as marinos 84 season

  • @dolphinzrwj1 Rodgers is the best QB I've ever scene. What can't Rodgers do ? Quick release, Accurate, Great footwork, Great pocket presence and instincts, Can scramble, Can tuck the ball and run, can throw accurate on the run, he;s tough, he's a leader, he avoids sacks, he's smart, makes good decisions...etc etc. Rodgers is Unreal

  • @TheRyan41707 Peyton in 04 and Dan the man's 84 year were better than rodgers this season. Still though, rodgers is having a top 5 season ever by a QB. If they go 19-0 than for sure it'll be the best just because of that alone.

  • @CompleteCarnage99 I'm not talking about stats or anything like that..Just the eyeball test..for me Aaron Rodgers is the best...That's including Montana, Brady, Manning all the greats...The guy does everything

  • great recievers too

  • brett favre

  • He was priceless

  • Dan marino IS the Best not around but of ALL TIME!!!

  • was proud to be named after him, remember meeting him back when i was a kid and he played the cardinals (born and raised in az). Both my favorite players are from pitt.. maybe i should start watching that program? lol Dan Marion and Larry Fitzgerald

  • Definitely would have beaten the Redskins in Super Bowl XVII.

  • Marino was the ultimate QB!!! If Dan got defense and a decent running game he would have won so many SB's he'd need more fingers!!! The vision & quickest release ever.

  • ha the rocky music is great

  • @gocrusaderz no pain.........no pain

  • At 2:10 that WR should of been pointing his finger at the QB instead of the crowd..Also, 6:18 was one of the GREATEST throws I have ever seen.

  • Wow i hate that song

  • I love Dan Marino, but the video manly consists of 15 yard or shorter passes... There are soooo many more better ones... What the hell man...

  • @serenadesilhout stop bsing I saw the entire video and I cant see a play on here that peyton manning or tom brady or even aaron rodgers cant make.

  • Comment removed

  • His release is so quick...I can't believe how far he throws without being in proper form. Most quarterbacks use their body, but in the video he just launches the ball randomly at any position

  • Youtube needs more 80s movie soundrack mixes.

    Top shelf.

  • if dan marino was givin a brandon marshall in those days how many super bowls would he have won?

  • @BigCheeto43 The same amount he did without him. Dan Marino lacked a defense and a running game..

Brandon would've been good for him but not enough.

  • @coolnesss16 good point

  • Awesome highlights!

  • DAM MARINO, IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF BEING GREAT BUT NOT WINNING A CHAMPIONSHIP SO LEBRON JAMES HIK

  • great qb...not the best ever tho...mayyybe even a tiny bit overrated

  • @gammster777 over rated??? not.. if anything under rated.. people knock him down cuz he didnt win a super bowl.

  • @funkysteve43 his average completion percentage throughout his entire career was 59 percent..it was like never over a 62...and he had a qb rating of 86..not the stats of the best at the qb position

  • @gammster777 so what?? u forget he didnt have that great of recievers (dropped a lot), running backs (all sucked), or defense (stayed on the field keeping him off it). Or how he single handedly brought this team to victories even when down a lot. Even without all the things the other great qbs had he STILL broke all the records imaginable.. thats impressive enough for me.

  • @funkysteve43 nooo that was brett favre

  • @gammster777 he broke the records first im talking about.. favre broke them after cuz he played a million years.

  • 240p? ish

  • I'll take a 50 year old Dan Marino over any QB we had over the last 15 years, seriously

  • @serenadesilhout not tom brady drew brees or aron rodgers

  • @serenadesilhout idk about that

  • @serenadesilhout Currently I rather take Aaron Rodgers.

  • @HunterAlanHicks Sorry I guess I was misunderstood - I was talking about dolphins QBs cuz we have been hurting since Marino left. Although Aaron Rodgers is probably going to come closest to breaking Marino's record though and you can't stop Brady from scoring.

  • @serenadesilhout i guess you never heard of payton manning or tom brady huh?

  • @dimperio151 One, I meant to say over any dolphins QB we had since cuz all of them do not compare. Two, I have nothing against those QB's, it would be cool to see someone finally break Marino's record. But in his prime, no one touches Marino's arm.

  • @serenadesilhout well either brady, aaron rodgers or brees are breaking his record this year, they are like 900 yards shy

  • @dimperio151 I think all three of them are going to break the record which would be icing on the cake for the season. Sad thing is that Dan Marino shows that no matter how perfect a person plays the QB position, if you don't have a good defense, you won't go all the way.

  • @serenadesilhout Lol. not arron rodgers?

  • @Rudenko3 I won't lie, in two years Aaron could be the greatest QB of all time if he keeps playing at this pace and wins at least 1 more superbowl. It would be cool to see another undefeated superbowl winner like the dolphins in the 70's. There's always that 1st place jinx I hope the packers don't succumb to. However, if they end up facing the Broncos up 14 with three minutes left in the game - i'm afraid i'm gonna have to switch my bet.

  • @serenadesilhout Haha. Well im just saying Dan Marino WAS good I doubt he would do beter then T.Joke in today's NFL.

  • @Rudenko3 You're the best, by Joe Esposito.

  • he was tall, had accuracy, a very strong arm, good decision making, a leader. thats had 6 superbowl rings written all over it. what happened? any given sunday i guess.

  • @flchamp1

His decision making sucked, and his leadership was garbage. 0 rings ring a bell?

  • @rygu79

How was his leadership garbage? Regarding his decision making, he wasnt supported by a run game or a defense, so he likely forced many passes to try and get the win.

  • DAAAAAN MARIIIINOOOOOOOOOOO

thank you NFL BLITZ 2001 for showing me the greatest football game ever and the greatest QB of all time

  • It's crazy that he always had people in his face because he had a terrible o-line and still made those plays

  • Look at the passes Danny attempts. And he doesn't just attempt them and fails......he nails them....

Watching Chad Henne on Sundays hurts my eyes. SUCK FOR LUCK 2012

  • he was great in ace ventura

  • marino is and always will be better than manning

  • @still1995 hell yea man marino all day

  • @still1995

No. Manning has a ring therefore he is currently better letalone when he's done.

  • I cant help thinking about skinny as Ralph Maccio

  • People who think Matt Schaub is a great QB never saw Marino, Elway, Steve Young, Montana.

    Matt Schaub sucks!

  • great highlights but that song is so fucking gay

  • this song fits marino perfectly #1 decription faithn when wathing dan marino had most bfaith he would win throw a complete pass even on 4th longWhere My Heart Will Take Me (Faith of the Heart) .

  • There will only be one marino guys...but we got Henne and i see a future in him...who knows maybe 4 more years of experience he could reach marino's level! MAYBE...it all depends on the heart he puts in the game...cause he got the potential now he just needs the fan backup!!! lez do this dolphins 2011 season here we goooo!

  • OMG " Hearts On Fire" at 4:30 is the perfect song to describe Dan. Its "Rocky's" song from Rocky 4, and it fits Rocky more then Dan when i hear this, still amazing.

  • im a jet fan but damm marino was one of the best

  • Best arm ever.

  • if there were a time machine i would go get him from the past and get him to play now :)

  • MARINO IS THE BEST HE ROCKS BABY !!!!

  • I really miss Marino.

  • As someone who has followed the game for a number of years, I have a theory as to why Marino never won the Super Bowl. The main one is he never had a running game! Look at all those gun slinging QB's who insisted on throwing the ball and not keeping defenses honest. They take too many chances and get passes picked off in the big game. Kelly lost 4 in a row, Fouts never got to the big game, Eason lost, and Elway lost 3 in 4 years until he had a running game. Favre won one with special teams play

  • Thnx Dan ! !

  • stiil tryin to replace him GO MARINO and GO PHINS

  • Can you imagine what he could have done with a half decent RB!

  • I lost$

  • Both Marino and Jordan were all time greats. For any of you to question the greatness of either one is absurd! I used to feel sorry for Marino. He had a heck of a career for somebody who NEVER had a halfway decent running back to hand off to. While Brady has had Corey Dillon and Antowain Smith, Marino had the likes of Sammy Smith, Troy Stradford, and Lorenzo Hampton to give the ball to. I remember Marino passing for 44 touchdowns one season only to miss the playoffs as Miami went 8-8!

  • he didnt get a super bowl because of his attitude. don't get me wrong, marino is my favorite of all time, but its true that he wasnt a team player. he didnt want to run the ball, just to throw. thats the difference between him and manning

  • I am a huge Dan Marino guy. I mean, it pisses me off when I hear people say Dan Marino's career was incomplete. And it's 100 percent crap. ... He absolutely dominated the quarterback position his entire career from a statistics standpoint, with the come-from-behind victories, and, hey, the damned thing just didn't work out. He got to the Super Bowl once and didn't win and it sure wasn't for a lack of trying when he didn't get there again. - Peyton Manning

  • Thumbs up if you think Dan Marino should be the Dolphins QB coach

  • @flippnbricks2o8 as awesome as that would be, it would never happen. he doesn't have the physical endurance to go out there and make a good team. he wants to sit in the broadcast booth, or on a pre-game show, and talk about it.

  • To be a coach?

  • The words you are speaking are nonsense. He didn't get a ring because he was a jerk is stupid. Tom Brady's an asshole, and he has three. Rapistburger has two rings. So that theory is out the window. Besides, Marino said he'd hand the ball off a million times if it meant he could have a ring. He yelled at his team mates at times because he was a perfectionist, and expected nothing less from them. And if Rex Ryan can have the physical endurance to coach, I think an actual athlete would be fine.

  • Well which is it? Is it because he was on a bad team or because he was a "jerk"? If you really were a Dan Marino fan, you'd know he wanted to win more than anything, and would sold his soul for a ring, not for records.

  • @bjchit simple: it was both. he wanted to win so badly, but his ego got in the way. i'm not saying he had an all-star team, but if he truly wanted to win a superbowl he would have insisted on a running game. i am a true marino fan, but that was why. he didn't want a team, he wanted marino. shula let him do that, and thats why they never won a bowl with marino. like i said, all due respect for marino, he wanted no part of a running game. his teammates didn't like him for that (ran outa characters

  • @thejkais hater troll

  • @Potandthekettle dude, i am definitely not a hater i love dan marino. but it is what it is. nobody can even say dan marino isnt a good QB. he is my favorite of all time

  • @thejkais Then you're an idiot. Because he handed off quite a bit the year they went to the SB when they actually had a running game. He never had a problem with giving the ball off WHEN IT WAS EFFECTIVE. For you to say he didnt insist on a running game is fucking ridiculous. THEY NEVER HAD ONE AFTER THAT. So of course he tried to win it on his shoulders. You're so full of shit

  • @thejkais Wait a sec, youre not even 22! You're a dumb little kid! LOL

  • @Potandthekettle somebody likes to stalk little kids. and you would be surprised how much i know. although i'm not a big fan of old guys that have youtube accounts

  • @thejkais You likely werent even alive when Marino retired. lol Next time you criticize an athlete for anything and pretend you're a fan of them at least choose one you actually watched play or at the very least know what the hell you're talking about kid.

  • @Potandthekettle PRETEND bro, you better stop judging people by what they appear to be saying on a youtube video. i know what marino did. just because i couldnt get the priviledge of seeing him play doesnt meen i dont know his flaws. but thats the thing. any of his flaws were minor. how the hell could you even explain 48 TDs in a year with a very small number of WRs? see, even i know that. so don't say i dont know anything

  • @thejkais How can you be a fan of someone you NEVER saw play??? gimme a break kid. And what you posted to bjchit isnt helping your point. You said it yourself "they had something to work with, and marino didnt" EXACTLY WHY THEY DIDNT WIN A SB OR GET THERE AGAIN. They never had the talent at RB nor did they really even have an offensive line that can open holes to have a decent one. Not to mention they had a top 10 defense only like 3 or 4 times throughout his entire career.

  • @Potandthekettle jordan didn't have a team to work with. he had 6 championships. marino could have easily tried to build a team, but he didn't. look, i am not gonna sit behind a computer and try and convince you i am a fan of dan marino. i don't know who the hell you think you are to try and tell me i am not a fan. sorry, i am done commenting on this

  • @thejkais Kid, you should stop while you're behind. Your Jordan comparison is laughable because his team still won 55 games and made it to the second round of the playoffs and took the eventual eastern conference champs to 7 games. And its not Marino's job to build a team. You have ALOT to learn and I suggest you start talking about things when you know what in the world you're talking about. You should start by sticking to your generation first.

  • @thejkais Oops, forgot to finish my point about Jordan. His team made it that far WITHOUT HIM. So youre wrong, he had a great team and silly kids like you should learn before they pretend they know what theyre talking about.

  • Jordan didn't have a team to work with?! He had two Hall of Famers in the starting lineup!

  • @thejkais He got six championships after the Bulls went out and got Pippen and Rodman. Why dont you take a look at Jordan's first 4 seasons without them and see where he went without them. Until they built a team for Jordan all he won was dunking contests.

  • @thejkais OMG You're not an idiot youre just 22 and IGNORANT! Where in the world do you get your information from?? You were barely alive long enough to even grasp simple concepts of the sport to begin with when he was playing! LMAO

  • Dan Marino was LOVED by his team mates. Just because he yelled at them when they fucked up doesn't mean he was a lousy team mate, or a cancer. He was also one of the first guys to congratualte his team mates when they successed. He did want to win, that's why he never wore his AFCC game ring, because it was a losers ring. Shula just didn't know how to pick a running back. It's not Marino's fault that he had no running, but to make up for it Miami couldn't tackle. Who's he? Be more specific.

  • @bjchit of course he was loved. he is dan marino. its also not like there was a surplus of running backs. i think i am coming off the wrong way. dan marino, to me, is the greatest of all time. better than manning, brady, and without a question favre. they had something to work with, and marino didn't. but i just can't possibly explain how he never won a bowl. shula was the best, danny was the best of the best, and even though he didn't have players it is still impossible to explain

  • @thejkais I dont see how you can say "it is still impossible to explain" given these facts! QBs dont win SB on their own. It takes a team effort and he never had a full team to take it all the way. There is nothing complicated to figure out here, its really that simple. I dont know where in the world you get off saying he had too much ego to let them run. Its beyond me

  • @bjchit This thejkais is some kid who wasnt even alive when marino played lol

  • Yea, I know. He still needs to be educated though.

  • @flippnbricks2o8 Why would he want to be a QB coach when he can make a ton more money as a broadcaster?

  • @Potandthekettle He doesn't or he'd already be doing it. Still I bet he would make a great coach. He played the game all of his life and was obviously one of the best QB's ever to play it.

  • best player of all time imo. if he ever had a running game(only one 1000 yard rusher in his entire career) or a defense he would have won more than a few super bowls. even when defenses new he was going to throw they couldnt stop him.

  • watching him now only confirms something, that comparing him to the QBs of today, he really was the greatest passer. Not to mention his mental toughness, I really miss him.

  • if there is anyone that reminds me of Dan Marino now, it is Andrew Luck! this guy is the next real legendary QB. and i hope raiders will loose as many games so we cant get him.

  • Always gonna L-O-V-E Dan and my Fins:D

  • The DOLPHINS will be WINNERS again. I LOVE this team, and I'm not even from Florida. God Bless you Dolphins, I love you.

  • @msm5561 I feel bad because the Dolphins will never win in their division. Patriots and Jets will always be on leading.

  • @ProjectX30 We won the division back in 2009 the jest havent won in like 7yrs I think

  • The Jets have won 4 division titles in the 51 years they've been in existence, with the last one coming just as the Colts left for the AFC South. The Houston Oilers have just as many AFC East titles as the Jets.

  • @msm5561 Seriously, with Chad Henne. It will take some time to rebuild this team

  • Comment removed

  • @msm5561 Couldn't agree more! I lived in MI longer, but I'm originally from FL and the Dolphins always have and always will be my team. We're still the only team with the perfect season (take that New England). We've gone to the superbowl 3 yrs. in a row and won two. We have a great history and we will definitely be winners again. Henne just needs to work on his passing game some more 'cause he's got a solid offense to work with (Marshall at WR/Bush at RB). I ain't giving up on them either.

  • simple: best quarterback ever

  • Best player to have never won a Super Bowl.

  • @petion2010 He's better than some people who DID win a Superbowl. I mean look at Trent Dilfer,he won a Superbowl mainly because of the amazing defense the Raven's had that year.

  • @whatsupbato And that Raven's defense never faced any real good quarterback. I agree with you though, but I still wished that he had won at least one super bowl even though I'm not a Dolphins fan. Some athletes rather you're a fan of their team or not, command your respect.

  • @petion2010 I agree and it's actually really mature and respectful to say that players should get respect by their performance not by the team or organization they play on. I wish he would have won a Superbowl because I'm a dolphins fan and that would have made one more for our team. :D

  • @petion2010 No doubt about that.

  • @petion2010 And it just goes to show how overemphasized the Super Bowl ring can be in terms of ranking the all-time great players. Football is an 11-on-11 sport, people. I don't care how important the QB is; he's still just ONE MAN and he can't do it all by himself. Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl because Miami rarely, if ever, gave him a Super Bowl caliber TEAM. Put Marino on the Niners and Montana on the Dolphins and Marino would have four rings and Montana would have zero.

  • @phillyspartanfan Montana got the Chiefs to the AFC championship game, but injuries forced Montana to retire. Montana didnt have a team as talented as people make it seem when he was drafted. He won the SB his 1st year as a starter without J.Rice, J.Taylor, or R.Craig and is part of the reason why the 49ers win over the Cowboys in the 81 NFC game is so iconic. Marino could have done what Montana did, but Montana took it to another level, ZERO INTs, 11 Tds 125.8 SB QB rating kind of level.

  • @phillyspartanfan I guess you haven't seen the colts lately.

  • @elia8604 How is that relevant to my comment?

  • @phillyspartanfan you said the qb can't do it by himself, but look at how low the colts have fallen without manning

  • @elia8604 Yeaaaah, but that just goes to show that the quarterback is IMPORTANT. I never said that the quarterback isn't important; I just said that he can't win the Super Bowl by himself. The Colts' debacle this season doesn't prove otherwise and Manning is actually a good example of MY point here. For in his admittedly illustrious career, even he has only won one Super Bowl. And ironically enough, it was the Colts' DEFENSE that really bailed them out during that run.

  • @elia8604 look at the ravens QB and Teebow, they are getting carried but atleast there not complete shit either

  • @phillyspartanfan yep its pretty shit when trent dilfer wins a ring and marino doesnt. im a Raiders fan but always thought marino was class

  • @eon14873 Yeah, Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Jeff Hostetler, Doug Williams, Jim McMahon...nothing against any of these guys, but none of them were anywhere near Marino's level. The one variable of Super Bowl ring doesn't change that. BTW, I'm a Lions fan (who FINALLY has something to cheer about) so I don't have a horse in this race either.

  • @phillyspartanfan Jim plunkett will always be my favorite. i prefer to watch pure passers rather than the scramblimg QBs. probably 'cause john bloody elway always got away from the sack! it would be good to see a team like the lions do well. they have had such harsh times

  • @phillyspartanfan Put Marino on the Niners of the 80's and he probably gets 6 rings.

  • @phillyspartanfan Good point...but I think Montana would've got one for the Dolphins.

  • @BigdogH201 In all fairness, I might have to agree with you on that one, just because Montana really was that great. But four rings with the Miami roster around him...no way. Again, one man can only do so much, even if he is as great as Montana.

  • @phillyspartanfan Yes. Montana's bootlegging ability, dissection of defenses, and improvization was superior to Marino!!!

  • @BigdogH201 Still, I dont care how great Montana was, if he didnt have Jerry Rice reaching up and pulling down about anything Joe threw, Montana's numbers would not have been what they were.

  • @Rcksaltnnails montana was the best quarterback to ever live. get outta here dude! every great quarterback has great recievers, its just how it is.

  • @Rcksaltnnails thats just how good jerry was (,:

  • @Rcksaltnnails

Joe Montana went to KC and beat the 49ers so don't go assuming that Marino was any better than Montana based upon the fact that Jerry Rice played with him. Rice and the 49ers lost to other good QB's such as Favre and Aikman because the 49ers were beatable, yes even with Rice playing. Marino and Montana are both amazing. There's no need to throw jabs at Montana because he played with Rice.

  • @jessejubilee of course joe montana was a great quarterback no doubt and even without rice. but having rice did help alot because he was the best player to ever play the game. im not saying that without rice he would suck because without throwable passes the WR doesnt do much right. i think montana is #2 and marino #1 because marino has more yards in his carrer and miami wasnt as good as san fransisco back then so he had less to work with but montana is great!

  • @petion2010 Best player ever period.

  • @petion2010

Barry Sanders is laughing at you.

  • @rygu79 Why
