how am i suppose to practice if my optometrist wont let me take it home to practice. I cant get the prescription until i can show that i can put it in. and it is expensive for an hour class which i already did but i got frustrated. I have sensitive eyes and its really hard
im using contacts for a anime con thats coming up, so far i can get the right one in and out with little to no trouble. But i cant seem to get the left contact in. I dont know if its my eye lashes or not ( they are kinda long for some reason ) it also keeps flipping inside out whenever it touches my eye.

my son just started wearing contacts, he did fine at the doctors but been having problems at home getting the contacts back in the eye. We pull up your video and tried this method and BINGO! it worked. Thanks

contacts are sort of hard to get used to but once you get one in on one eye the other eye is usually a snap. you just need to be confident and relax your eyes/ eyelids. after the first few times you'll be able to put both of them in in less than a minute

@xoValentinaxo31 I only got them yesterday :D It was a weird thing, but if you just stay patient and persevere then it'll get easier with time! Putting the contacts in is easier than taking them out, for me :]

Wash your hands well and practice touching your eye ball try holding your finger on your eye ball for 3 seconds counting slowly, like 1 second, 2 seconds, 3 seconds. And if your practice enough you'll stop closing your eye and I'm presuming you've had eye contacts in before? Like when you go to the opticians to see if you can wear them well if you have they'll be able to tell you then if your eyes are too sensitive.

got contacts for the first time earlier this year. the first time was very awkward. my eyes teared up and I couldn't stop blinking. it wasn't painful, but very irritating. it felt like there was something in my eye (because there was, duh). but within a few days you get used to it and learn how to put them in and take them out yourself.

The next day I was not able to insert them back again and gave it a one day break. It 's true that it's gonna get easier with time. Today it took me 15 minutes to put the lenses in my eyes and 5 minutes to take them out. So don't panic:) Just give it another go

this video isnt correct . Coming from the uk first of a all your optision will give you a contact lense practice . You should be able to have trial before getting them . the contact lense must have solution on it. Your non fav hand should be dry. You use your non fav hand to pull op your lashes and your three non fav hand bottom fingers to pull the bottom prt down. You touch the eye with the end of you index finger and look left right up down and straight ahead and blink madly

@LoveAj03 It doesnt burn but for the first time it does feel like you have something in your eye but its not as painful as normal if you get what i mean. You will be very aware that you have them in.
@killmrmanson depends on the person, it could take weeks if your really squimish. Contacts are not for everyone, dont force yourself to do something that isnt going to make you happy.
My 1st time to get them in. around 30 mins right eye, and the optician said it was a fluke! left eye around 10 mins, not a fluke despite not being sure if they were in or not. I was looking down to see if I dropped it, then I realised, hey my vision is clear. Must be in.

@scarface4724 Same thing happened to me today but apparently I was a fast learner. Wtf, whatever. It took me like half an hour to get 1 contact in. Then after I finally got both in, they made me take one out just to put it back in. I wasn't happy at all.
It took me about 20min my first time putting in contacts. It did iritate my eye a little but I did get it in but the trick(if you are right handed) is to have the lens on your index finger and hold your eye open with your left middle finger(top lid) and your right middle finger(bottom lid)

I spent literaly 1 1/2 hours trying to. Then the doc told me they r to lose so I had to try a differnt pari. Those ones hurt like hell! I know exactly how you guys feel. The first time I tried putting contact lenses on, it took me literally 2 hours for ONE eye. The other one took less time, but still. A tip I would give is to not be scared of the contact lens touching your eye. And make sure your eye and the contact lens are both wet. Water has a cohesive property, and that means it likes to stick to itself. So if your eye and the contact are both wet, the contact will be more likely to stick to your eye when you get them close.

Anyone can answer me please! I'm going to get contacts soon, but do they sting your eyes? if you understand me. lol. Like i have been watching videos so that i can do them on my own at home, but i just am scared that they will burn the crap out of my eyes. :( lol help!

@LoveAj03 It doesnt burn but for the first time it does feel like you have something in your eye but its not as painful as normal if you get what i mean. You will be very aware that you have them in.

@killmrmanson depends on the person, it could take weeks if your really squimish. Contacts are not for everyone, dont force yourself to do something that isnt going to make you happy.

My 1st time to get them in. around 30 mins right eye, and the optician said it was a fluke! left eye around 10 mins, not a fluke despite not being sure if they were in or not. I was looking down to see if I dropped it, then I realised, hey my vision is clear. Must be in.

@scarface4724 Same thing happened to me today but apparently I was a fast learner. Wtf, whatever. It took me like half an hour to get 1 contact in. Then after I finally got both in, they made me take one out just to put it back in. I wasn't happy at all.

It took me about 20min my first time putting in contacts. It did iritate my eye a little but I did get it in but the trick(if you are right handed) is to have the lens on your index finger and hold your eye open with your left middle finger(top lid) and your right middle finger(bottom lid)

I spent literaly 1 1/2 hours trying to. Then the doc told me they r to lose so I had to try a differnt pari. Those ones hurt like hell! When I got the in it felt so uncomfortable and we cleaned then out and tried it again same thing. I am going to tell her that I need a bit looser pair since it hurt so much

I know exactly how you guys feel. The first time I tried putting contact lenses on, it took me literally 2 hours for ONE eye. The other one took less time, but still. A tip I would give is to not be scared of the contact lens touching your eye. And make sure your eye and the contact lens are both wet. Water has a cohesive property, and that means it likes to stick to itself. So if your eye and the contact are both wet, the contact will be more likely to stick to your eye when you get them close.

Omg it's good to know that i'm not the only one having troubles. I'm trying to put in my soft contacts in, but my eye lashes keep curling up my contact =(. I've been trying for 2 hours for the past 3 days and still can't get them in. I can get 1 eye in but not the other grr.
My eye is red and people ask me why i'm always crying . It's because i can't get my contact lenese in =(

@fallflame same problem, but you just have to try! I have thems in my eyes only ONCE both of them i mean. To me it's harder to put it to left eye. If i try to put it to my right eye it's mutch easier. :) Just keep trying i know that you can do it!

im 13 and i have contacts but everytime i try to put them in i blink and the lens folds backwards and it doesnt work, i try looking up and then putting it on but it doesnt work, what should i do?

I was with my friend and she was putting it on and then she rubbed her eye and the freaking contact lens was gone on the other side of her eye it was freaky as he'll!! I got purple ones today :) but it's hard :( and I'm scared it might go in the back like my friends did

i just got my contact lenses today and it is horrible putting them in.. it ended up taking me about 2 hours to get them both in.. i had a break in between but still it got really frustrating.. now i need to go to bed soon and im worried i wont be able to get them out :\

My sight is TERRIBLE and it takes me 45 minutes or MORE to put contacts in, and glasses look atrocious on me.
Good thing I have prescription sunglasses, they're a godsend

I have REALLY SMALLY SQUINTY EYES!! i have to reposition my fingers (when streching my eyes open) to keep my fingers from sliding down .I hit my eyelid wit the contact lense most of da time. ANY ADVICE????!! 4ME I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!!!
