The game will not be released in the US. No official word but realize that the game has been out for over a year in Jp without so much as a tweet about any localization for US. That does not bode well when you consider gaming localization historical patterns.

If you are talking about PSP emu I've got many of them.. called Pspe (Many versions up to the latest one). But it doesn't work on them. It doesn't work on PCSX either. Have you played the game? If so how?
Oh, I even forgot to mention that the PSPE works totally fine. As I played Croc, Croc 2, Crisis beat, Covert Ops, etc on it. My PCSX is also fine as I was playing both dothack & dothack G.U. on it up until now. Maybe dothack LINK doesn't work on emulators. If that is the case maybe I'll play something else.. :(
I want this to be released stateside now. Also, .hack ending is, indeed, a sad event, but at least it didn't become some massive, cash cow and nothing else. It stayed what it originally was (For the most part) and I am happy enough with just that.

.hack fragment was only released in japan for the ps2 and for some reason never made it to the US. and since then the games servers have been shut down

@Thrash05 it wasn't an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer RPG) it was just an MORPG (Multiplayer Online RPG). if they made an actual MMORPG with a full-fledged Dot Hack experience and a dedicated team of developers maybe it would've done better. i just don't see it happening though, maybe in the future though if true virtual reality...was a reality. =)

The "key of the twilight";living AI's;and human players playing other characters through the series are some things that pull ppl in to this multi-media series

It's just like all the other great games. Higurashi, Bleach and now .Hack series. If you think about it, Some people are doing a petition for .Hack Link it to be release here. Japan is begin greedy.. along with Sony. It's not Japan to blame but mostly Sony.

@Thrash05 it's not that they really didn't buy it it's just that they only came out for it in japan i think if they were to relaunch the idea and make it global wide they would have seen different results cause i was looking forward to playing it till i found out it was only released in japan which sucked :/

.hack fragment was only released in japan for the ps2 and for some reason never made it to the US. and since then the games servers have been shut down

@Thrash05 Yeah it was .hack//fragment sucks to see cyberconnect2 is too chicken to make .hack//fragment now people want an online MMO of dot hack well for the PC any way they should of braught it to PC instead of Ps2 kinda a waste if you ask me or make the neuro what ever goggles and let you feel like you're in the game it's starting to get were you're able to pull that off.

@Thrash05 TECHNICALLY, it failed because it was little more than an extension for the original PS2 games. They based the possibility of a PC game on the sales, and not surprisingly it tanked because... why buy the SAME GAME you already have for the SAME SYSTEM?

they did make an mmo and it wasnt popular it was dot hack fragment. it didnt sell as much as it should have so they took the game down. and if it was popular they would shut it down to remake it so people had to pay so they could keep up the servers. maybe your right and to many people were on and the company couldnt support the servers but i doubt it

@Thrash05 it wasn't an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer RPG) it was just an MORPG (Multiplayer Online RPG). if they made an actual MMORPG with a full-fledged Dot Hack experience and a dedicated team of developers maybe it would've done better. i just don't see it happening though, maybe in the future though if true virtual reality...was a reality. =)

@AspecZzcWr There is a online game where people can play virtual reality:this theme runs through ALL the .Hack games,and is called "The World".Another ongoing theme,is someone is that someone is PK-player killed-in the game,and goes unconscious,so ppl try to solve the mystery as to why how and what.
*Not to spoil*
Hack\\Sign is mystery/suspense,more based on thinking and danger.
While .Hack\\GU(the game) is based more on fighting and mystery.

@AspecZzcWr In any case I only know of GU(a extension of roots,the show btw) Sign,Twilight,the last which didn't interest me enough to continue from the rest of me anime YET.But the anime's tend to be softer or more focused on opening up the mystery's and setting the foundation for the games,which elaborate even deeper in to the series.
The "key of the twilight";living AI's;and human players playing other characters through the series are some things that pull ppl in to this multi-media series
