once i got a glitch were the head of the snake would move but the tail stayed and i just kept geting longer and longer

The playing area is 32 by 64 = 2048 squares. Because each food gives you 5 extra squares and you start with 1, you do 2048 - 1 = 2047. Then you divide that by 5 and you get 409.4 food. So the max score is 409 times 10 = 4090. But then you have to account for suiciding and filling up all the squares at the end. So then the max highscore is 4100, and then anything higher than that is a hack and fraud.
