BTW Richard Attenborough not David in this film. Compare this scene with Noel Coward addressing gangsters in the 'Italian Job' at Aunt Nellie's funeral.

Great movie. When the camera moves along the line of evacuated Dunkirk troops it is quite moving. Great performances by Coward and also Bernard Miles especially.

My Dad was just an Ordinary Gunner (First Class) in the Navy, who happened to be there when ordered to do so.
Great to have some memories though.
