When the election results were announced, I felt somewhat proud that we had elected our first black president. Dont get me wrong, I didnt vote for him but I was happy that the world would see American democracy in action. This proud feeling lasted for nearly 24 hours then it sunk in that being black was his only true credential. OBAMA WON BECAUSE HIS SKIN IS BLACK. If the words coming out of McCains and Obamas mouths had been switched, Obama still would have won. That is the truth.

I agree that his being black helped him win, but I was neither proud nor surprised. It only confirmed that most people are dim. I didn't vote for him because he was almost a complete unknown, his campaign sponsors are unkown, and his birthplace is uncomfirmed. He still won't show his birth certificate. I didn't trust his authenticity. Why would we want someone who could be up to no good? Would everything be perfect with McCaine? Not likely. But at least we had some idea of what he would do.

Look at who's without health insurance. Almost half of them are here illegally. The rest are divided up between those who are offered it through their work but don't want to contribute and those who want it but the cost is truly out of reach.
