yes glenn is a very unique player( i met him with "paris" in '76), but dont understate jeffreys importance. it was his jazz record collection that helped influence ian early on. and it was jeffrey who played on two of the most difficult albums and tours at the time(thick and passion play). nobody ever filled his shoes again as a showman and performer. i understand why ian wanted him around. jeffrey hammond-hammond is the coolest!
Yes, Jeffrey must be incredibly cool to have been able to replace an accomplished bassist like Glenn Cornick and influence the musical direction of Tull so much, that they never really regained their credibility.
