@woodtopkid You are confused. Carriage return was always left to right. The typewiter stayed where it was relative to the desk while the paper carriage shifted to the left as the words were typed.

Only one thing wrong with the video - she would have pushed the carriage return/computer monitor from her right to her left ! !

@woodtopkid No, it would be pushed from left to right. The carriage moves right to left when typing.
