It's sad seeing Izzy used against the sport we thought he loved. It's also sad seeing the AFL put a team in Western Sydney and "accidently" using the same colors as the Western Sydney Tigers NRL team. I've tried to give AFL a chance but because of abusive fans, gimicks like this and frankly a sport i don't enjoy it just won't work. I wish all the best to Izzy and GWS in the future though. The Melbourne Storm haven't come close to replacing Aussie Rules in Victoria yet have great support and will be around for decades to come. Kids will decide for themselves which sport they wish to play. By promoting themselves as they have, I think the future for GWS is looking pretty good.

He seems to have a great attitude and willingness to learn. Hopefully he can apply his natural ability and athleticism to help get GWS off to a good start.
I've lived in the Blacktown zone and I quickly discovered that the locals don't tolerate losers. Like it or not GWS are in enemy territory and they need to make a good first impression if they are to have any chance of long-term success. I suggest that they recruit some solid, experienced players.
