  • can you use a hard drive for a desktop on a laptop?

  • @broski90 depends how old it is, and the form factor or the size of the HDD

  • I have a laptop full of viruses should I put a new hard drive?

  • TAT IS AN AWEASOME COVER (1:21)

  • @DanielChristy19 yes this is true. I didn't think of that at the time. I was assuming (and i'm pretty sure i'm right) that the guy asking it didn't know how to run an OS off of anything but a HDD.

  • wow what a nerd

  • can we connect laptop hard drive to pc for reformat and install an OS? Would that be possible?

  • @mrclaybam yea it is possible, I did that and installed a Mac Snow leopard on it(:

  • can a laptop work without a hard drive

  • Comment removed

  • No.

  • If you run everything in memory you can, I believe. An example would be a linux live cd. You just can't save anything without some external storage media. You need CDs, DVDs, or a flash thumb/zip/jump drive for saving info.

  • no because hard drives save all memory including that required to run the computer

  • No, it cannot, the hard Drive is the thing that holds all the memory and files for a laptop and any computer.

  • Yes it could work with a live CD.

  • ur a dumb ass

  • @ajwcook yes if you just running a os off memory or a usb stick

  • @ajwcook LOL

  • @ajwcook no

  • @ajwcook i think lol

  • @ajwcook yes you can boot off a usb or other storage mediums but it will be much slower unless its a monster usb. Just get a harddrive its not worth the usb

  • @ajwcook it can but it won't boot. you will only get a bios screen

  • @ajwcook no it cannot that is were u store all memory and your basic files

  • @ajwcook it will kinda work caz the windows in in your hard drive so u will just get a bios screen

  • @ajwcook lol definitely not. Its what has your operating system on it. If you try and boot up a computer with a HDD in it, your BIOS would just end up telling you it can't find a HDD.

  • @ajwcook no.

  • @ajwcook LOL NOOB

  • @ajwcook Actually yes it can as long as you have a bootable USB or disk for it to run on. HOWEVER you cannot download or store files only browse.

  • @ajwcook yes using any linux distro live cd/usb

  • Look it's Mayamoto! Jk

  • 5th, beat that.

  • For a 2 minute video, I would have focused on a quick run-down of the overall process, with the software and cloning the other Hard Drive, etc. Not everyone has a Toshiba Qosmio.

  • @PaulFrankRizzo i have a toshib sat is the installation about the same?
