One of the best series i've seen... This wouldn't last in todays NHL, half the players from both teams would have been suspended for the rest of the playoffs... Crazy physical series.

@thebigmeat92 Great series... it's funny the one player that was crazy in this series didn't become much of anything... eventhough he was just a pest, I remember he drove me crazy as leafs fan, lol.... Steve ****in Webb.

@CrociatoAzzurro ..... yeah i think this is when sundin went down with a injury i remember alyn mccauley scoring like mad being a player that made a difference i was wondering where did this guy come from? but i guess when u dont play that many minutes it is hard to display your skills and alyn certainly showed them, i was impressed.

this was a death to the finish series i remember this being a brutal hitting series i think mats sundin was hurt in this series and alyn macculey stepped up and took his game to another level those players had talent but everyone relied on mats too much to make something happen. which in the end it was their downfall cause mats ran out of gas

Both teams had high levels of testosterone and no one lost on home ice. I think the Islanders powerplay was running at like 75% or something ridiculous.

And on the 7th day God made Gary Roberts.
