  • taekwondo still isnt effective unless you train it to be.... competition doesnt do anything in an actual martial artist's development =]

  • that was sadly lacking.

  • fuckin fag

  • i liked everything about this exvept for the chop, when using a chop it is an extremely bad idea to have your fingers extended because if you use a chop like that and you hit wrong you can break one or even all of your fingers, when performin a chop you should curl your fingers, this makes it so you wont break your fingers and also makes the chop much more powerful

  • The elbow is not the strongest part of the body.

  • @devourerofbabies he meant, strongest part of human upper body.

  • @CristalCody Strongest part of human upper body is probably the forehead. Strongest part of the arm maybe.

  • why do SO MANY people think its better to keep a knife hand perfectly straight...your supposed to curve them a bit to give the hand more strength -.-

  • @exwowkid2010 We know that at my taekwon-do

  • Why is he bending his fingers on the palm heel strike? He's gonna injure them like that...

  • I love hitting those dummies

  • fucking pussy

  • i have black belt the 10 dan ...

  • oh really? why is that so?

  • will i take this in the first dan (black belt)????

  • The palm heel is supposed to make contact with the heel of the hand, not the palm. The heel has a bigger impact on the nose. And how are you gonna break bricks with your palm?

  • @dangkoen Many people do, but the strike is not for breaking.

  • hes missed out the back fist, spinning back fist and downwards hammer fist which when brought down on the opponents nose it will destroy it.

  • Taekwondo is more then kicks. To bad so many instructors forget that. Mine, however, doesn't.

  • You are probably lucky to have an instructor to teach you the hand strikes that tae kwon do literally means.

  • @6arcsn1sky Yeah, me and the school are. We even know what they're for xD ^^

  • @dangkoen Where is your tae kwon do school and the name of the instructor?

  • @6arcsn1sky Why?

  • @dangkoen Lets just say that the school here on Guam follows the Olympic rules.

  • elbow ftw!!

  • I salute this tae kwon do practitioner for not using "um" and "ah" in his speech. This video I have to show to my voice and articulation professor, so he can use this video on how to do speeches.

  • hes fast but his core movements arent adding any power to it those techniques can all be much more powerful than that demo

  • Amerifag ammiright?

  • Correctomundo

  • lol. I like how this is still front page more thn a month later.

  • What a tired argument. Hand to hand combat (and this includes Boxing) wasn't designed to stop bullets; and no one ever claimed it could. That's like saying 'if you start running at me with your little pop gun and I take you out with nuclear weapons..'

  • It's so nice and refreshing to find something TKD orientated that is not kicks kicks kicks. For me self defense and practicle use is more important than constantly using kicks.

  • COOL Video!!!!

  • And you watch too much M.M.A. fights.

  • Rising Palm is a lethal technique and should be taught discriminately.

  • uh the elbows are actually pretty useful. it's the second most lethal brute force strike

  • Elbows are usefull but TKD application of the elbows is flawed.

  • well...yeah...that palm strike if used in the right way can kill too

  • u know that bone knuckle on ur thumb? one of those to ur temple and yeas...its hell

  • You sound like a rookie or someone just spaming. All techiques are useful. How they are taught maybe not affective depending on the teacher. The elbow from top to bottom, I have not been taught to do and it looks more like a Thai style of elbow. Ridge hand and knife hand to the body are useless. Knife hand to throat is great. Execpt when fighting a boxer which the throat is blocked by a tucked chin and hands. Just learn the correct way to use a technique and you will not go wrong.
