@hakkematforf Faroe Islands is of viking and north germanic stock.
Iceland is too even thow they are more mixed with celts.
Scandinavia is more of linguistic term, in that case Faroe Islands and Iceland is clearly outside since Danish as an example is not a natural language here.
Faroese and Icelandic language is more like the original norse one.
just a little fun fact... Iceland isn't part of scandinavia, neither is Finland. The scandinavian countries are: denmark, Norway and Sweden. And they are part of the Nordic countries along with Greenland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands... (can't remember if Finland is a part of the Nordic countries)
@Rovarin well.,. yes, true, iceland the LAND isnt IN scandinavia. But the icelandic culture and mostly everything about it, is scandinavian. Even the language. Thats why its considered part of scandinavia, cause the culture is.

the reason people call Iceland, Færoe Islands, Greenland and Finnland Scandinavian is because they miss understand and thinks of Nordic countries.

So i'd say they are more scandinavia than we in the Faroes and Iceland.
Greenland is much more north america. They identify themselfs as such also being related to the Native americans and all.
